Our mother was admitted on the 18th December, on end of life care.
She stayed with us until the 2nd March when she passed peacefully.
The care and attention from the whole team in the time she was there was nothing short of exceptional. We thank everyone for everything they did for her and us when
we visited, which was very frequently.
Reply from Sara Allton, Home Manager at The Hamptons Care HomeThank you Michael for this feedback, I shall ensure that the staff team are made aware of how their support for you all made a difference during your mother's time with us

Mum had to go into care after being given end of life. She had been independent, 98, in her own apartment. As a family it was so hard for us to let her go intoThe Hamptons. It turned out to be the best decision we ever made. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel part of The Hamptons Family.
Nothing was too much trouble. If we had any questions the staff and nursing staff were always on hand to talk to us and give us time.
Mum was included in everything. They have a better social calendar the I have. she loved the singers, the knit and natter and having her nails and hair done.
When Mum was finally ready to go to sleep she was treated with care and dignity. the Nursing staff were so caring and considerate they made her journey the best I could have imagined for her. We will be forever grateful.
I wish I could mention all the staff but there are so many who cared for her. Rick was with us the last days. Amazing.
thank you all of you.

My family want to thank the staff at the Hamptons for all the care currently being given to my husband who has Parkinson's, whilst he recovers from a broken arm and shoulder.
The feeling of safety and reassurance has been invaluable to us all, a port in a storm.
No matter how difficult their working
day or night has been, the staff are incredibly cheery with laughter echoing through the corridors.
It can't be easy keeping residents entertained or occupied but every effort is made in the timetable each week.
Even if someone doesn't want to join in, it's good to know activities are there if they want them.
You may not receive praise every day, but please know every kindness is noted and gratefully received, particularly when times can be difficult for a family.
Keep doing what you're doing, it's so very much appreciated.

Our mum resided at The Hamptons for only a short time and was cared for by the team until the end of her life. Every member of staff we encountered has the utmost care and compassion for her and the care she received was excellent. We were also well supported and kept up to date with everything at a
very difficult time. Thank you for everything.

My mother has been a resident of The Hamptons for 18 months now. She has Parkinson's with Dementia and is completely bed ridden now. My wife and I visit her at least once a week at different times and cannot speak highly enough about the care she receives from all the staff in the Dementia wing. My
mother has recently been assessed for full CHC care and I cannot speak highly enough about Sue and Lauren who participated in the assessment and were extremely professional as well as caring throughout. I think everyone at the Hamptons do a fantastic job.
Reply from Sara Allton, Home Manager at The Hamptons Care HomeDear SimonThank you so much for your appreciation of the staff. We love having your mother with us and always strive to provide the best support and life for her that we can. My father moved into the Lytham care home shortly after my Mother's passing on Christmas Day
I live in Australia and I am his only close relative so you can imagine the stress and turmoil my father experienced
I managed to arrive in Lytham within 48 hours and so the difficult journey began for Dad
He
didn't want to leave home but was incapable of cooking shopping and usual daily tasks
So after traumatic discussions we decided a Care home was the only answer so I had to find one
initially my Dad was in a good home suggested by a couple of neighbours however after about a week I decided I wasn't happy with the care and attitude of some staff members
I moved him to the Hamptons which we now call his hotel and difference in the two homes is dramatic
My Dad is extremely happy at the Hamptons Lytham because he has a beautiful room excellent food and wonderful daily care and medical attention
I believe the quality of any business comes from the top
Sara the manager is outstanding

My dad had a very comfortable 16 month stay at The Hamptons. When he came (March 2024) he didn't know what to expect but the staff made him feel valued & "at home" from day one. That was helped by the facilities - from the very well appointed rooms to the bright and welcoming communal areas and the
spacious dining area. My dad very much enjoyed the company and companionship with other residents when taking meals. We recently decided to move him to a new care home to be closer to me - but time will tell if the new home's staff will be quite as caring, efficient and diligent as they were at the Hamptons. This is a nice forum in which to say "thanks so much" to the staff and management at the Hamptons.in short -i It's a lovely care home.

From my first enquiry to the final visit, I was met with the highest standards of care and professionalism. The office guided me through all the paperwork, the nursing staff were outstanding, and the catering team even offered me a cup of tea at the most difficult times. My father was treated with dignity

The staff have handled Mum's move into care with the utmost professionalism and compassion, spending time reassuring both her and our family about even the smallest of details. Nobody likes having to put a loved one into care, but dementia means that this is unavoidable in this case. The facilities
are excellent and the respect and care afforded to Mum is the best we could possibly get, especially in distressing circumstances. Thank you to all the staff.

Upon walking into the Hampton's Care Home, it reminds you of a five star hotel, and to back this up the staff are also five star !!!
My Father-in-Law was a resident briefly there a week ago and his care was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. You were greeted warmly on every
occasion you visited.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the entertainment programs were varied and interesting and residents were encouraged to take part. The food was amazing and all dietary requests were adhered to and there was plenty of choice.
Sadly my Father-in-Law passed away there in their loving care, and once again can I repeat how dignified and compassionate the staff were to the family.
I simply would not hesitate in recommending this Care Home to anyone in need, as this is simply the best Care Home I have ever visited.

Being a fit and healthy man into his 90s, my father was always highly averse to entering a care home. However, following a hip fracture at 93 it was no longer realistic for him to be safely looked after by his family, and after considering various homes he became a resident in January 2024. Fortunately,
Dad adapted much more readily than anticipated, partly because of the impressive facilities, but mainly because of the superb quality of care provided.

In any residential setting it is the ethos upheld by those who work there who determine how good a place it is, and my father and I have always been impressed by the professionalism, availability and friendliness of the staff, whatever their various roles. Indeed, after a fortnight in hospital this year, Dad was very anxious to be able to return for end-of-life care from those whom he knew and respected, and his final three weeks were filled with care, compassion and empathy, both for Dad and for me. The Hamptons can't be faulted.

Reply from Sara Allton, Home Manager at The Hamptons Care HomeDear Paul, We enjoyed both your father and your company at The Hamptons and it was a privilege to support both of you during his time with us. Your kind words will be shared across the Home with the team who continuously work to provide as much dignity, respect, care and support as they are able to.Regards, Home Manager

Unfortunately my aunt recently passed away after a long illness. But I would like to say over the 3 years she has been at the home the levels of care and support she has received have been first-class. The staff from front of house on reception, actual care staff and auxiliary members all could not
have been better. The understanding and help over her final days and post-passing have been of a great comfort to us. I would certainly recommend the home if asked. Once again thanks for everything.

My husband was in The Hamptons Care Centre for 3 months and was treated in a totally excellent way. Staff were totally professional, caring and friendly. The same nurse was on duty for 3 days prior and on day of his death, he ensured he was not in pain, gave meds when he was agitated. He and my husband
had a great rapport which was great to see. The night sister was on duty when he died and was with my husband when he died. All staff were 100% superb and I couldn't have asked for more.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.941)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.941) out of 10 for The Hamptons Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.941 for The Hamptons Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (258 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 272 Ratings = 4.941
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Hamptons Care Home is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 76 registered maximum number of service users is 15.2, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
