It is almost a year since dad moved into The Hamptons on the insistence of a hospital that he had moderate to severe dementia. From a visit to look around with dad through the year, the manager and staff have worked to help him in every way. On that first visit, the Manager told us she did not think
he had more than age-related mental impairment and so it has proved. All of the staff go out of their way to help and encourage their residents. They have worked with me to baseline his condition and get the inputs to gradually improve it. Even through a period of many new residents and staff turnover the care has been very good.
Having always said he would not go into a care home, dad has said "The Hamptons is my home and I am happy here" almost from day one. As I live a considerable distance away that is a relief, as is knowing I can ring the staff when he isn't so well and know they will take the time to explain how he is and what is being done.

My brother received excellent outstanding end of life care whilst at The Hamptons Care Centre. His room and all facilities are equivalent to 'The Ritz' Hotel. All staff smiled, acknowledged visitors, and their personal care restored his dignity and pride. On his final day, the staff were so compassionate
and caring and all showed respect whilst he left the home.

I am writing this review when my mother has been under the care of The Hamptons for over ten months. Throughout that period, she has had nothing short of first-class care. All the staff we have met are hardworking, caring and passionate, in the face of a very disabled elderly lady. I do not think I
have ever seen a workforce that works together as such a close-knit and structured team, from the Care Manager down. They all give time to help the residents and are very focused on building relationships with family and friends whenever you visit. Any issue raised is considered and solutions designed to improve the wellbeing of residents. This level of professional practice goes across all areas of the home; hotel services such as the kitchen, laundry and all other areas of housekeeping work to enable residents to live in a spotless environment, have excellent meals and all this is delivered with the same friendliness. It is a very special place.

I was admitted to The Hampton Care Centre from hospital following a life-changing diagnosis. From walking in the front door until now, I have been treated with kindness, thoughtfulness and courtesy at all times.
The ambience of The Hamptons makes it a pleasure to be here. There are beautifully kept
lounges with cinema room, and landscaped gardens where you can walk or sit outside with friends and family. The whole building is kept spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest standard by the housekeeping team.
The food is delicious, a very creative and varied menu, the chef is so helpful and will accommodate all dietary needs.
The manager of The Hamptons is very proactive and a wonderful role model for the team she has created. It is a pleasure just to walk down the corridors and be welcomed by her staff. All nursing and support staff make a wonderful team, who have gone above and beyond to provide me with the care, support and peace of mind that is so important in times of need.

My mother stayed here for 2 weeks after leaving hospital. The care centre is split into 3 divisions, nursing, dementia and residential. The Hamptons is magnificent and clients can use all divisions. From the cinema to the jacuzzi bath with mood-lighting, no expense has been spared. The staff are carefully
selected and show empathy and dignity to all residents. Excellent management and front of house staff. First-class.
I can't praise The Hamptons enough.

My mother had dementia since 2013 and became very poorly in February 2019. After 4 weeks in the hospital, it was decided by the discharge team to recommend that Mum went into a facility for palliative care. On admission to Hamptons, Mum received the best possible care for the entire team. As a family,
we were treated with such enormous respect and any concerns were immediately dealt with. Losing a parent is an awfully sad experience! Understanding and the love provided by The Hamptons team was extremely comforting. Thank you to the Manager and staff for all your help!

I can not praise the staff of The Hamptons highly enough.
Their approach to care and the love and dignity they show to the residents has been a great comfort to our family.
I am only sorry that I can not mention individual names here.
The people of The Hamptons are to be praised and respected for
the way they interact and care for their residents - and their families.

The chef has been absolutely fantastic. My father is near and of life and we as a family have been able to stay overnight with him. The chef has constantly ensured the family have been week fed and looked after and we feel had gone beyond any expectations. All staff at the home have been wonderful and
made this difficult time a lot more bearable.

In the past eleven days, my father has been at end of life and the care and compassion shown by the staff has been a huge comfort to the family. At a time when you don't want to eat or can't motivate yourself to look for food, the chef has offered all family members who have kept a bedside vigil an
array of mouthwatering delights which have kept energy levels high. The chef's willingness to help and muster gorgeous tasting food at a moment's notice is an absolute credit to him. Chef, your efforts are appreciated more than words can say. A very special thank you from one very appreciative person.

Never anything other than high standards at The Hamptons. Not just beautiful décor, but the staff are all very kind and caring.
From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by friendly reception staff, this follows all the way through and is genuine.
It isn't one size fits all like most care facilities.
The staff treat everyone as an individual, remembering personal things about residents.
The food is delicious and again if not to individual taste, the staff are happy to provide foods requested.
My relative is not easily pleased when it comes to food, quality and entertainment, he loves The Hamptons.

First impressions is very impressive. It looks and feels more like a 5* hotel rather than a nursing home. You’re always greeted by the smell of fresh coffee and fresh cakes and pastries available for visitors. However, for a nursing home, the most important part is the care you receive. The rooms are
like a beautiful hotel room, spotless with fresh towels. The catering staff provide 3 course meals each day, for a small charge for visitors. The Hamptons work closely with the palliative care team to ensure that the care plan is working, this is reviewed daily, great they work so well together. My dad was there with her, when she passed away as they had given him a room next door. I can honestly say the Hamptons provide a similar standard of care as the hospice do and this is no mean feat! My family and I will be forever grateful and thankful that she passed away in such a beautiful place, pain free, comfortable and at peace.

My mother spent the last 3 weeks of her life in the lovely clean, warm, comfortable safe and caring environment that has been created at this relatively new nursing home. During this period I and other family members visited 2/3 times each day and we were amazed by the extremely high standard of dedication
exhibited by every individual staff member assigned to my mothers care.
During the last 10 days of my mother's life she succumbed to yet another stomach infection which required her bed and clothing to be changed 4 times in one night and when I arrived in mid-morning the following day my mothers first words to me were " Do you know these girls have been amazing to me "
I have absolutely no reservations whatsoever in recommending this nursing home to anyone.

Very high standard of care in both practical and pastoral terms of emotional empathy.
In addition to caring for my mother's physical and nursing needs, staff have spent time encouraging exercise following a stroke.

My husband, who has been on the Dementia Unit for the past six months has received extremely compassionate and dignified care at all times. He is stimulated by the "OOMPH" activity programme which is carried out daily. Whenever he has needed medical attention, it has been dealt with promptly. I am fully

Having had previous bad experiences with care homes my sister and I were very reluctant to admit that my Mum needed to go into a home. However, for worried relatives who only want the best for their loved one you need not worry about the Hamptons. From the minute we walked in, to the last day of my
Mum's life the home was welcoming professional and caring. They allowed us to spend some very special daughter not carer time with my Mum to which we will be forever grateful. We only wished we had longer.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.941)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.941) out of 10 for The Hamptons Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 23 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.941 for The Hamptons Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (258 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 272 Ratings = 4.941
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Hamptons Care Home is based on 23 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 76 registered maximum number of service users is 15.2, which has been reached with 23 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
