Mum has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor for 3 weeks. She moved from another care home that couldn't meet her needs. She is a resident on the dementia floor. This transition could have been difficult for mum and my brother and myself were initially worried she may not settle. This has not been the
case thanks to the amazing staff and carers who have supported her and our family. Mum is coeliac and her dietary requirements have been fully supported. She is happy, less anxious and we would highly recommend Wilmslow Manor.
Reply from Darren Molyneux, Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely review. Were delighted to hear that your mum has settled in so well at Wilmslow Manor, especially after what could have been a difficult transition. Our team on the dementia community work hard to create a calm, supportive environment, and it means a great deal to know that this has made a positive difference for your mum and for your family.

Were also pleased that her coeliac dietary needs have been fully supported and that youve seen her become happier and less anxious. Your recommendation is truly appreciated, and we feel privileged to be part of your mums care.

My Mum and Dad became residents of Wilmslow Manor in April 2024 when Mum's Vascular dementia became too much for Dad to manage at home. When Mum died in May 2024 Dad remained as a resident. This was a very difficult time for him after 73 years with Mum and his grief at times was very difficult for
him to cope with. The staff gave Dad the time, care and love he needed.
In October Dad's health declined and he became less mobile spending more time in bed and requiring more care from the staff. I stayed with Dad the last week of October until his very peaceful death. The quality of the care and attention he received from staff cannot be questioned. The dignity given to him was outstanding. The love and care that I and my family received was incredible. I cannot thank the staff enough for making his last days so comfortable and peaceful and for continuing to care for him as the gentleman he was. I know he made an impact on the staff just as they did on our family. Thank you.
Reply from Darren Molyneux, Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor Care HomeThank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt account of your parents time at Wilmslow Manor. It means a great deal to our entire team to know that we were able to support your family through such an emotional and significant chapter.

Your dads strength, love for your mum, and the bond they shared for 73 years touched everyone here. It was a privilege to care for him, and were deeply grateful for the trust you placed in us during both his and your mums final months. Knowing that he felt comfortable, dignified, and at peace is exactly what we strive for, and your words affirm the dedication of our staff.

Were also truly moved that you and your family felt supported and cared for throughout. Your dad made a lasting impression on those who looked after him, and he will be remembered with great fondness.

Thank you again for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. We send our warmest wishes to you and your family.

We are really pleased with the continual great service my brother gets at Wilmslow Manor. The quality and care has always been very good, but it has reached a new level for us. My brother has been at Wilmslow Manor since is opened, he is extremely happy there, loves the company, the attention from the
staff and the warm environment created for residents and members of their family. We were always concerned how he would find being in a care home, but for him it is his home and he often says how happy he is there. It's such a relief & blessing for all our family. Full marks to Darren & the care team!

Your brother has been with us since the very beginning, and it's wonderful to know how much he enjoys the companionship, the care, and the sense of community here. We understand how important peace of mind is for families, and we're delighted that his happiness has brought reassurance and comfort to you all.
The entire care team will be thrilled to receive your full marks and kind words. Thank you again for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. It's a privilege to support your brother, and we look forward to continuing to provide the high standard of care he deserves.

Mum has been in care since May 2025. I have absolute confidence in the quality of care and the kindness mum receives . There is always plenty going on . Staff are relational . If mum is not quite herself I receive calls to update me on how she is .

Darren is an outstanding manager. Bobby offers

amazing care as senior . All the staff are caring and kind . Such peace of mind for me that mum is in the best place. I'm lucky to have Wilmslow Manor on the doorstep .

My mum was a resident for just over 2years ,initially on the dementia floor and then on the nursing floor where she passed away.
The dementia floor were absolutely fantastic ,mum was furious when we had to move here into care but the staff went above and beyond to reassure her and settle her in whilst
helping us to navigate the sad situation in the background. She did seem to enjoy the various trips the home arranged even though she would deny having been on them !.The photographic evidence showed otherwise .
After having to move to the nursing floor after a serious stroke ,again the care was exemplary. Between the damage the stroke had done and the dementia she wasn't an easy person but the staff still went above and beyond for her.To see the staff during her final days and after she passed was heartwarming and will be long remembered .
Thank you to all at Wilmslow manor from the extended Hindley family.
Reply from Darren Molyneux, Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share these heartfelt words. It means a great deal to our entire team to know that your mum felt supported and cared for throughout her time with us.

We understand how difficult it can be when a loved one first moves into care, and we're truly glad that our dementia team were able to help reassure and settle her during such an emotional transition. Hearing that she enjoyed the trips-despite her denials-brought a smile to us all.

We're equally grateful for your kind words about the nursing floor. Your mum faced significant challenges, and it was our privilege to support her with dignity, patience, and compassion. Knowing that our team brought comfort to both her and your family, especially in her final days, is something we will remember.

Thank you again for your trust, your appreciation, and for allowing us to be part of your mum's journey. We send our warmest wishes to you all.

I have immense gratitude to all the staff and management at Wilmslow Manor for the excellent care that my Mum received during her (almost) 2 year stay mostly as a resident on the ground floor with her final month being on the nursing floor on end of life care. It was wonderful to see how the staff
treated my Mum as if she was their own family member and treating her with dignity and so much care and compassion whilst being able to make my Mum smile and laugh. The staff have also been so kind ,caring and supportive of myself and my sisters. Whilst the home itself is beautiful it is the staff who really make this home stand out from the rest.

My Dad has been in the care home for two and a half years. He has dementia and now intensive nursing requirements. My whole family are so impressed with the caring attitude shown by the staff - not just the carers but also all the other staff such as the catering, housekeeping and entertainment teams.
Wilmslow Manor is one happy, well run care home!
As our Dad's condition has progressed, his disabilities and needs have been continuously monitored and recorded and the appropriate action taken in consultation with the family. For example, we were encouraged to move him from the Dementia floor to the Nursing floor where he is now better able to interact with people in the communal areas which has been a great success.
I encourage anyone thinking about residential care for a a loved one to visit Wilmslow Manor and talk to he team.

Your kind words about the whole team - from carers and nurses to catering, housekeeping and entertainment - are deeply appreciated. Everyone works hard to create a happy, well-run home, and it's wonderful to hear that this shines through in your dad's day-to-day experience.
We're also grateful for your recognition of the ongoing monitoring and communication around your dad's changing needs. Supporting families through these transitions is incredibly important to us, and we're delighted that the move to the Nursing floor has helped him engage more comfortably and positively with others.
Your recommendation means so much to the entire team. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

My husband has been cared for in Wilmslow Manor for just over a year. I have been confident from the first day that he would be safe and well looked after. The nursing care and the love and support from all the staff has been amazing. The whole team are so friendly and welcoming, reception, catering,

My experience of WM was originally as a Daughter of a resident for two years. Sadly my Mum is no longer with us, but when my friends mum recently moved into Wilmslow Manor on respite, I jumped at the chance to go and visit her. I had the best afternoon in a long time and even though she'd only been
on there a few weeks, I could see how much she'd settled in. The whole team at Wilmslow Manor cannot be faulted in any way, shape or form. Some friends said I bonkers to go back to the place where my mum passed away, but to me it just felt like going home again and think that speaks a thousand positive words about the place! The staff become family to every single resident in there, and to their families too. So if you want a care home where you're loved one will be loved, cared for at the highest standard, and just as important be kept entertained with a whole host of activities and trips out. Look no further! Darren and his team are truly amazing x

I can't praise highly enough Darren and all his team at Wilmslow Manor Care Home. We had been looking for Residential Care for my Step Mum and after meeting Darren and some of his team decided that Wilmslow would be ideal.
To cut a long story short my step mum was discharged from her rehabilitation
centre at VERY short notice but fortunately there was a vacancy at Wilmslow.
Everyone at Wilmslow made the process of getting my step mum settled in a very smooth experience, nothing was too much trouble which has meant she has settled in wonderfully well and is really enjoying life in her new surroundings.
I would thoroughly recommend Wilmslow to anyone seeking residential or nursing care for a member of their family without any hesitation.

My husband has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor for almost 18 months and the Home have been wonderful in helping him to settle in. The staff are exceptional and respond really quickly to any queries or requests. They have taken a huge amount of trouble to cater for my husband's particular needs and
preferences. There is a wide range of activities for the residents and the food is excellent. The large balconies and garden terrace are lovely as my husband really enjoys sitting out in the sunshine when the weather is good. There is always a bright smiley welcome when I walk through the door and I feel very much at home when I am there.

My Mum has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor since Aug this year and has settled really well. Staff team are fantastic, and all maintain a friendly approachable manner, which is vital. They are additionally responsive to requests/chats about needs and how best to support my Mum going forwards. They
have now also adopted her favourite term for them "Sunshine". My family and I visit regularly and find things to be consistently positive. My Mum engages well in activities including the trips out that she loves, and enjoys the food, all of which is assisting her to thrive in this lovely environment.

The staff at Wilmslow Manor make it the exceptional place that it is. A friendly welcome greets you at reception. The lovely surroundings are beautifully maintained by housekeeping keeping and facilities, and residents are given personalised individual care with kindness, respect and good humour. The
innovative well-being team are so encouraging, whether or not you participate in their activities - it's a joy to observe everyone's dedication and enthusiasm. You are made to feel like a member of one big family where personal concerns can be freely expressed, happiness shared and problems solved; and this applies to residents' families and friends too. Mum sings their praises all the time and likes to boast that the chef made her a special meal of 'Fried Rice when she was 'resident of the day'! A well-deserved 10/10 in the recent survey.

The food is excellent, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The team consistently go

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.969 for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (812 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 834 Ratings = 4.969
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is based on 70 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 70 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
