Dad became very unwell last week and passed peacefully Friday evening. I have never seen staff offer such compassion, care, dignity and respect in all of my years working in healthcare. As a family we cannot express how the staff made this difficult situation so much more comforting. We all knew Dad was being looked after, and that offered us the reassurance we needed.
Although all of the staff were amazing I feel we have to name 7 staff members in particular. Thank you so much for all that you did. This home is simply outstanding!!

I joined New Care, now Lovett Care, in 2018 after working for 15 years in Residential care. I was previously Deputy Manager and came to New Care now Lovett Care as a Senior Care Assistant, and then I was promoted to Head of Care in August 2023 I was successful and promoted to Deputy Manager at Grosvenor Manor in Chester, and more recently, I have been promoted within New Care now Lovett Care as Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor.
I am extremely happy and content. Person-centred care is and always will be a passion of mine, and being able to help promote independence and high-quality care always leaves me smiling. New Care is an excellent company to work with and provides residents with excellent care and staff with support and the chance to develop their careers. I have recently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care.
I have worked for New Care, now Lovett Care, since 2020 and have 13 years of experience in the care sector, always working in a care home setting. I officially started at New Care, now Lovett Care, as a care assistant and swiftly advanced to the role of team leader before seizing the opportunity in 2023 to elevate my career to Head of Care. Since then, I've immersed myself in the care sector, embracing each day as a chance to learn and grow. My caring nature fuels my passion for helping others, particularly in comforting end-of-life care for our residents. I find fulfilment in making a positive impact on the residents we care for. I have recently completed my level 3 in Adult care, which has helped me gain a lot of knowledge in my current role.
Working at Lovett Care is a true blessing, providing a refreshing and supportive environment where both staff and residents receive the care and attention they deserve.
I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years with a background in both NHS and social care since 2019. I have worked in various roles, which have given me a passion for all aspects of care in the later stages of the life journey. I have a special interest in managing deterioration and dementia care. I really value making a connection with everyone I meet in my role, and finding a way to achieve this.
I have had the pleasure of working at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre for the past three years, where I currently hold the position of Home Administrator. My journey with the home began on reception, where I first discovered my passion for creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
From the very beginning, I was drawn to the close-knit community that makes Wilmslow Manor so special. The residents, families, and staff truly feel like one big family, a place filled with care, compassion, and laughter. I take great pride in being part of a team that puts people at the heart of everything we do.
One of the things I enjoy most about my role is meeting people each day and seeing the genuine smiles on our residents’ faces. Knowing that they are happy and well cared for brings me a real sense of fulfilment. The variety of my role means no two days are ever the same, and I am constantly learning and developing new skills, working closely with our Home Manager and supporting him to provide the best service we can possibly offer to all our residents, families and friends.
I feel incredibly fortunate to work for such a supportive and caring company, surrounded by colleagues who share the same passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Being part of Wilmslow Manor is more than just a job for me — it’s a privilege to contribute to a place where kindness and community truly thrive.
Representing the voice of our residents, Michael is proud to be an honorary member of our Wilmslow Manor team.
I’m Kelly, the Wellbeing Coordinator here at Wilmslow Manor Care Home. With a background as a qualified personal trainer and wellbeing coach, I’m passionate about helping our residents stay active, engaged, and supported in ways that feel meaningful to them. Health, nutrition, and overall well-being have always been central to my life, and I love bringing that energy into the home each day. Whether I’m organising activities, encouraging gentle movement, or simply sharing a chat, my goal is always to help residents feel their best.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two girls, aged 9 and 15, and married. I also have a lively English Bull Terrier called Flo, who keeps us all entertained. I’m a bit competitive by nature — I’ve completed the London Marathon and fully intend to run it again to beat my time, and I regularly compete in Hyrox events. I enjoy the gym, hot yoga, and any excuse for a hot beach holiday. Wellbeing isn’t just my job; it’s a lifestyle I love living and sharing with others.
