I cannot fault any of the staff, each and every one of them are very special. They welcome you when visiting with a greeting and a smile. They do their utmost to make sure your visit is special. As for caring for my husband, it is 100% all the time. Nothing is too much trouble. They are all wonderful.

The manager and the entire team at Wilmslow Manor have been incredibly welcoming to my mother, who was recently admitted. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff have been exceptional.
The food is excellent, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The team consistently go
above and beyond to ensure my mother's comfort, even offering a carrot to our dog during a visit. An incredibly thoughtful touch that really stood out.
Staff handle delicate matters with great sensitivity, preserving my mother's dignity and making these conversations feel respectful and kind. Their empathy and professionalism have made a world of difference to our family.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Wilmslow Manor. I cannot recommend it highly enough!,

All the staff at Wilmslow manor are exceptional in the service they provide to the residents and their family. My mother in law came here on respite and is now a permanent resident. She is so happy here and talks very highly of all the staff. Her needs are met to a high standard and she is extremely
happy to the point of not wanting to leave.

Viewed 4 homes when needing residential care for active lady with dementia.
The staff were really understanding of our requirements & listened to our concerns.
We felt understood & reassured that this was the best care home for us.
It's modern, bright friendly & clean.
The bedrooms are a great
size , the bathroom is lovely.
The gorgeous garden setting is a great place to be when visiting.

This is like a home not a care home.

My aunt moved into Wilmslow Manor in January 2025 and has been treated with dignity, care and kindness from the entire staff team. All the staff are friendly and professional and go the extra mile in their job role. The home is very clean with beautiful decor and a lovely atmosphere. The entertainment
team is amazing with lots of various activities each week that my aunt really enjoys. My aunt is treated as an individual in her preferences and values. She has found a new joy for life thanks to the amazing staff. I would not hesitate in recommending this care home and thank you again to the manager and staff for all your hard work and kindness.

My Dad had been a resident at Wilmslow Manor since January 2025 following a sudden deterioration in his health. As a family, we have a number of people working as health professionals, and as such have extremely high expectations in regards to how we hoped Dad would be treated. I have to say, since
the first day all of the staff exceeded those expectations with every interaction with Dad and with us as a family.

Dad became very unwell last week and passed peacefully Friday evening. I have never seen staff offer such compassion, care, dignity and respect in all of my years working in healthcare. As a family we cannot express how the staff made this difficult situation so much more comforting. We all knew Dad was being looked after, and that offered us the reassurance we needed.

Although all of the staff were amazing I feel we have to name 7 staff members in particular. Thank you so much for all that you did. This home is simply outstanding!!

What can I say about the Care Home other than it is outstanding! The staff are so invested in providing exceptional and bespoke care for the residents. The facilities, activities, food and hospitality are excellent and the building is spotless. My father-in-law had issues settling in at first because
he was so independent beforehand. However, the staff enabled him to retain as much independence as he could given his condition, meaning it was very dignified for him. He worked his way from residential floor through to the nursing floor, where he passed peacefully away in line with his final wishes and those of the family. Management and the whole team are like a family and I will forever think of them as an extension of my own given how they cared for our family member.

After my independent father of 92 was taken ill after Christmas he was in hospital and then sent to The Manor Care Home Wilmslow, for rehabilitation. He was treated with total respect and care, they helped to build up his confidence and reassured him.
All of the care workers work very hard to make
this care home the wonderful place that it is.
I would 100% recommend this care home for anybody who is considering care for a loved one.

I was naturally worried when my brother was admitted into care at Wilmslow Manor but have been delighted with everything they have done. He is not only cared for but given friendly help when needed and encouraged to take part in the many activities they provide - he's been doing activities he's probably
never done before and he is always telling me about what's been happening or where they have been on a visit. The staff are very welcoming when I visit and seem genuinely friendly and happy in their work. The private bedrooms and public rooms are all very clean and well-kept. I know he enjoys the food very much! When my brother had some health issues, as can happen as people get older, the care they showed was excellent and the liaison with the local GP has been very good. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wilmslow Manor to anyone looking for a friendly and safe place for any family members who need care. I would have no hesitation about going there myself!

Wilmslow Manor has such a warm, caring environment with wonderful staff who always greet you with a smile whether you are a resident or a visitor. Mum chose to stay on at Wilmslow Manor after staying there for respite, after being discharged from hospital. She didn't want to look at any other care home
in the area as she was impressed with the level of care she was receiving. Her room is large and bright with direct access to the garden outside as she is on the ground floor. Her previous room on a different floor for respite, was equally large and comfortable. I would certainly recommend looking at Wilmslow Manor if anyone is considering a care home for their loved ones.

I did review the home in 2023 and my views remain the same. My wife has been a resident since May 2023. The care could not have been better. It is not easy to look after her because of her progressive Alzheimer's disease, but the personal care and help she has had has been exemplary. It is very much
more than a care home at Wilmslow Manor. The residents are very much treated as they would be in their own home. They look at the individual needs of each resident. The staff are extremely kind and caring. I'm always made to feel extremely welcome when I visit as are my family and my wife's friends.

My father has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor for over 2 years now. I feel he is very well looked after, with care, compassion, patience, dignity and respect. There are some absolutely wonderful staff there who have become like family and it's really comforting to know they don't use agency staff.
Dad has a complex cocktail of medical diagnoses and his needs are well met. He's clean and well fed, I don't worry about him like I used to - as the staff keep me fully informed of any problems that occur. The food is good and, although Dad prefers to mostly eat in his room, the dining room is very nice with plenty of space. Within the dining room is a well-equipped kitchen where visitors can make themselves a drink, although staff are very kind and quite often offer to bring me a drink, which is very welcome. I would thoroughly recommend the home to anyone in need of care services.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.970)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.970) out of 10 for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 73 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 73 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.970 for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (848 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 870 Ratings = 4.97
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is based on 73 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 73 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years with a background in both NHS and social care since 2019.  I have worked in various roles, which have given me a passion for all aspects of care in the later stages of the life journey.  I have a special interest in managing deterioration and dementia care. I really value making a connection with everyone I meet in my role, and finding a way to achieve this.

Job Title: Home Administrator

I have had the pleasure of working at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre for the past three years, where I currently hold the position of Home Administrator. My journey with the home began on reception, where I first discovered my passion for creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

From the very beginning, I was drawn to the close-knit community that makes Wilmslow Manor so special. The residents, families, and staff truly feel like one big family, a place filled with care, compassion, and laughter. I take great pride in being part of a team that puts people at the heart of everything we do.

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is meeting people each day and seeing the genuine smiles on our residents’ faces. Knowing that they are happy and well cared for brings me a real sense of fulfilment. The variety of my role means no two days are ever the same, and I am constantly learning and developing new skills, working closely with our Home Manager and supporting him to provide the best service we can possibly offer to all our residents, families and friends.

I feel incredibly fortunate to work for such a supportive and caring company, surrounded by colleagues who share the same passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Being part of Wilmslow Manor is more than just a job for me — it’s a privilege to contribute to a place where kindness and community truly thrive.

Job Title: Wellbeing Coordinator

I’m Kelly, the Wellbeing Coordinator here at Wilmslow Manor Care Home. With a background as a qualified personal trainer and wellbeing coach, I’m passionate about helping our residents stay active, engaged, and supported in ways that feel meaningful to them. Health, nutrition, and overall well-being have always been central to my life, and I love bringing that energy into the home each day. Whether I’m organising activities, encouraging gentle movement, or simply sharing a chat, my goal is always to help residents feel their best.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two girls, aged 9 and 15, and married. I also have a lively English Bull Terrier called Flo, who keeps us all entertained. I’m a bit competitive by nature — I’ve completed the London Marathon and fully intend to run it again to beat my time, and I regularly compete in Hyrox events. I enjoy the gym, hot yoga, and any excuse for a hot beach holiday. Wellbeing isn’t just my job; it’s a lifestyle I love living and sharing with others.
