I joined New Care in 2018 after working for 15 years in Residential care. I was previously Deputy Manager and came to New Care as a Senior Care Assistant and then I was promoted to Head of Care in August 2023 I was successful and promoted to Deputy Manager at Grosvenor Manor in Chester, and more recently I have been promoted within New Care as Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor.
Where I am extremely happy and content. Person Centred Care is and always will be a passion of mine and being able to help promote independence and high-quality care always leaves me smiling. New Care is an excellent company to work with and provides residents with excellent care and staff with support and the chance to develop their careers. I have recently completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Adult Care.
I have over 35 years of nursing experience in care and acute settings. I started with care and have been drawn back to care because there is so much to experience with people who have had years of life but now need our care, support, safety and positive approach to their health and well-being.
New Care provides all this to residents, their families staff and all visitors who are welcomed as We Care.
I have worked for New Care since 2020 and have 13 years of experience in the care sector, always working in a care home setting. I officially started at New Care as a care assistant and swiftly advanced to the role of team leader before seizing the opportunity in 2023 to elevate my career to Head of care. Since then, I've immersed myself in the care sector embracing each day as a chance to learn and grow. My caring nature fuels my passion for helping others, particularly comforting end-of-life care for our residents. I find fulfilment in making a positive impact on the residents we care for. I have recently completed my level 3 in Adult care which has helped me gain a lot of knowledge in my current role.
Working at New Care is a true blessing, providing a refreshing and supportive environment where both staff and residents receive the care and attention they deserve.
I am the Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre. I have worked in Health and Social Care for the past 3.5 years, progressing to the position of Wellbeing Lead. I am a university graduate in Mental Health Nursing and am trained in Namaste Care. I have previously worked in retail as a Sales Manager and am able to use my transferable skills to manage and coordinate all aspects of my role, including creating weekly person centred activity programmes within the home. My passion is care and supporting both residents and their families through their own personal journeys will be key to my new role within New Care.
