We have always found the staff to be very helpful and kind. Although Mum has had difficulty settling in, she has found it very reassuring to have friendly staff that she can ask for help. The care home is very clean and welcoming. You can always ask for a cup of tea or whatever is needed.

In early 2024 we had to find care for my dad as Mum, who looked after him, had to be admitted to hospital. We chose Wilmslow Manor as we had heard that it was the best care home in the area. Sadly the hospital was unable to help her and she was also moved to Wilmslow Manor. We could not have asked for
better care for her and the staff went over and above to ensure her passing was painless and very peaceful. Every single member of staff I met afterwards offered their condolences, even those I hadn't seen before. I will always be grateful for their care and kindness at such a sad time. Dad is still resident and he is comfortable and well looked after. The staff are all lovely, very patient, and caring - from the receptionists to the nurses and housekeepers. I would not hesitate to recommend Wilmslow Manor to anyone looking for residential care for their loved ones.

Mum has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor for 2 years now, and as a family we are extremely happy with the care and attention she receives. I have full confidence in the staff and management, their professional behaviour and decision-making. I feel involved and included in Mum's care and always welcome
on my visits. Mum is very happy here and has quality of life, companionship, medical care and frequent activities (adapted to each resident's needs). The home is fresh, cosy, and extremely clean. Regular meetings are arranged to discuss ideas, feedback and future plans, so residents, staff and family members feel a part of the Wilmslow Manor family. Our opinion counts. Thank you for everything.

The care my Mum receives from all staff has been outstanding. My Mum's needs are unpredictable and the nurses and carers work very hard to look after her. The nurses regularly keep me informed of any changes to my Mum's health/care and GP/hospital appointments. The carers go out their way to dignify
my Mum, by dressing her and styling her hair the way she would have done herself if she were able to do so. This gives me great assurance she is in the right place. The staff are very friendly, kind, caring and have good humour with my Mum which she enjoys. There are daily activities which my Mum can take part in if she wishes. The hospitality staff take great care ensuring my Mum follows a diabetic diet. The home and grounds are beautiful, very clean and well-maintained. As a family we wanted somewhere that was home from home for my Mum with high care standards and Wilmslow Mannor ticks all the boxes.

I live in the Outer Hebrides. I travel down to spend time with Mum as often as possible. I receive updates on a regular basis, and contact the home regularly to speak with nursing staff and Mum. I couldn't wish for a more caring and supportive staff looking after her. When I visit, Mum is always dressed
well, hair neat, nails painted, has everything she requires to hand, and staff are attentive. Staff know me when I visit and always chat. I am always updated with medication changes and how Mum is. Staff are accommodating, especially if I have a meal with Mum, making every effort to make it special, as are birthdays, Christmas, and important calendar events. Home is clean and fresh, meals good, coffee always available, really cannot fault. Even the lovely carer bringing coffee, remembering what I like, two months on. 10 out of 10.

My sister and I were searching for a care home for mum when her dementia deteriorated and we were worried for her safety at home. After visiting several others we immediately felt on our first visit this home was wonderful. All the staff are friendly, engaging and seem happy doing their job. We are
allowed to visit at any time and are always welcomed. It was never going to be easy to settle Mum as it wasn't her wish to leave her home but the staff have done everything possible to make the transition as easy for us as they can. There are a large range of activities arranged which are available to all residents, although our Mum doesn't get involved too often they keep trying to engage her. The staff very quickly understood her personality and do their best to accommodate her needs. The best thing for us is that we know Mum gets her medications, she is cared for 24 hours a day and we can be happy knowing how well looked after she is.
Reply from Darren Molyneux, Home Manager at Wilmslow Manor Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave this wonderful review, staff do understand that a transition into a care environment can be tough and recognised this for Mum and you as a family, we are happy to hear that staff were able to support you with this and make it that bit easier, the staff will be delighted with this feedback, thank you again.

I am always impressed by the level of care my mum receives at Wilmslow Manor, having been a resident for over a year now. The staff are always very friendly, caring and engaging with the residents and relatives, with a range of activities offered for the residents. We had our Christmas day lunch with
my Mum at the home, and thoroughly enjoyed it with the staff making us feel very welcome. The home is always spotless, with lovely surroundings making it very comfortable and inviting for residents and visitors. My mum also enjoys having her hair done by the visiting hairdresser, and the staff often paint her nails.

Cannot fault the care Dad has received since coming to live at Wilmslow Manor. The most important aspect for us is that he is happy, and he undoubtedly is. He has made friends and this is because everyone is really encouraged to mix together. Two staff members in particular have helped to ensure that
Dad is happy, they are outstanding. Also a big thank you to the manager. The process of Dad entering the place was so efficient and he really makes sure that we are kept in touch with all that is going on with Dad's care. Having been round other homes, I have not found any which even touches Wilmslow Manor.

As I live overseas, this was the first time I have been able to visit my mother. My sister and brother are still local and are always visiting Mum. I found all the staff friendly, attentive, and great with the residents. They have plenty of activities to keep the residents active, and stimulated, which
in my Mum's case is extremely important. We had a fun time visiting, my mum was happy and I felt very comfortable leaving her in their care.

My father was discharged to Wilmslow Manor Care home, from hospital. He'd been told he only had about 3 months to live, as he was very poorly at the time. That was around November 2023. The care home made a special effort to make sure there was a bed for him. Now it's January 2025, and he's still with
us.
If it hadn't been for the care he receives from all the staff at the home I know he wouldn't still be here. All the staff, from managers, receptionists, nurses, carers, hospitality and cleaners go above and beyond what they're expected to do.
Everyone is very friendly, and happy to help out if you've got a problem or query.
Unfortunately, my dad isn't mobile, but the lounge is a great space for the residents to meet up. Either to chat or watch a bit of tv.
I hope it won't happen yet (fingers crossed), but I would be very happy to go into to a home such as Wilmslow Manor.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.970) out of 10 for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 73 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 73 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.970 for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (848 Excellents x 5) + (18 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 870 Ratings = 4.97
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wilmslow Manor Care Home is based on 73 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 73 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Working at Lovett Care is a true blessing, providing a refreshing and supportive environment where both staff and residents receive the care and attention they deserve.

Job Title: Clinical Lead

I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years with a background in both NHS and social care since 2019.  I have worked in various roles, which have given me a passion for all aspects of care in the later stages of the life journey.  I have a special interest in managing deterioration and dementia care. I really value making a connection with everyone I meet in my role, and finding a way to achieve this.

Job Title: Home Administrator

I have had the pleasure of working at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre for the past three years, where I currently hold the position of Home Administrator. My journey with the home began on reception, where I first discovered my passion for creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

From the very beginning, I was drawn to the close-knit community that makes Wilmslow Manor so special. The residents, families, and staff truly feel like one big family, a place filled with care, compassion, and laughter. I take great pride in being part of a team that puts people at the heart of everything we do.

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is meeting people each day and seeing the genuine smiles on our residents’ faces. Knowing that they are happy and well cared for brings me a real sense of fulfilment. The variety of my role means no two days are ever the same, and I am constantly learning and developing new skills, working closely with our Home Manager and supporting him to provide the best service we can possibly offer to all our residents, families and friends.

I feel incredibly fortunate to work for such a supportive and caring company, surrounded by colleagues who share the same passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Being part of Wilmslow Manor is more than just a job for me — it’s a privilege to contribute to a place where kindness and community truly thrive.

Job Title: Wellbeing Coordinator

I’m Kelly, the Wellbeing Coordinator here at Wilmslow Manor Care Home. With a background as a qualified personal trainer and wellbeing coach, I’m passionate about helping our residents stay active, engaged, and supported in ways that feel meaningful to them. Health, nutrition, and overall well-being have always been central to my life, and I love bringing that energy into the home each day. Whether I’m organising activities, encouraging gentle movement, or simply sharing a chat, my goal is always to help residents feel their best.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two girls, aged 9 and 15, and married. I also have a lively English Bull Terrier called Flo, who keeps us all entertained. I’m a bit competitive by nature — I’ve completed the London Marathon and fully intend to run it again to beat my time, and I regularly compete in Hyrox events. I enjoy the gym, hot yoga, and any excuse for a hot beach holiday. Wellbeing isn’t just my job; it’s a lifestyle I love living and sharing with others.
