Overall Experience
We initially took our elderly and very independent mum to Wilmslow Manor for respite care, but it soon transpired that Wilmslow Manor was the place she needed to call home. From the minute you walk through the doors, you are enveloped by a wonderful feeling of warmth and calmness.
That feeling never left us, the care and support Mum received was incredible.
Mum was initially on the dementia floor and all the staff were so engaging and wonderful with her. She was laughing every time we visited her.
After a stay in the hospital, Mum was transferred to the Nursing floor. They always seemed to know exactly what she wanted and needed.
Every member of staff cares, you can see it, you can feel it and it is something that I will always remember.
There are far too many staff names to mention, they are all like human sunshine and I feel so grateful and blessed to every single one of them for all the love and care Mum received.

Wilmslow Manor - thank you so much. You are the best!

Both my father and stepmother have spent prolonged periods of time in Wilmslow Manor Care Centre. I cannot praise the staff at this care home enough. The care and attention paid to the residents is exemplary and nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated with respect and dignity and any medical issues have been addressed promptly and professionally. I feel very reassured to know that my father is in very capable hands and that he is so well cared for. All areas of the home are immaculately clean (reception area, bedrooms, dining rooms and lounges) and the grounds are well-maintained. In addition, the home has a calm and relaxing atmosphere which I believe contributes to the well-being of residents and their families. Thank you for everything that you do!

I regularly visit my grandmother, I am always warmly welcomed by friendly staff members who are always quick to direct me to where my grandmother is. She is always very happy and is clearly being very well looked after, all staff members know her by name and know about her likes and dislikes, this is a massive positive for myself and my family knowing all staff members are fully aware not only of my grandmothers needs but also what she does and doesn’t like. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and in particular, the manager they go above and beyond to see that all my grandmother's needs are met and she is cared for to an exceptionally high standard, I’d give 6 stars if I could, thank you so much to each and every member of staff for taking such good care of my grandmother

We visited the care centre to see our relative. We were immediately welcomed by the staff and directed to our relative who was drinking tea in the lounge. She looked settled and happy and very clean and tidy. We sat on the veranda and were given refreshments whilst we spent time together. We had dinner together which was 3 courses and felt like a restaurant experience. Staff were so kind and attentive towards our relative and the other residents- their care needs first. It was a happy, calm environment. Thank you.

A really excellent care home, with good lounges, a good garden terrace and nice walkways. Good garden, and good food but would be better if more fish options were given. Also, I think you need to increase the amount of vegetables served and more variety!

Staff are very good and friendly but I feel that you seem to be running slightly under staffed! I definitely would recommend Wilmslow Manor as an excellent place to place people in care.

Both my grandad and grandma are residents at Wilmslow Manor; they both have had such a positive experience. The onside team are wonderful, and nothing is too much trouble. Both Grandad and Grandma are extremely settled and content. Each and every member of staff has gone above and beyond to make them feel at home; everyone is so caring and compassionate. It is without a shadow of a doubt, the staff that have put them both at ease and made them feel so content during the most difficult times. I don't feel the words thank you are anywhere near enough to express how grateful I am to all the staff at Wilmslow Manor. They have all been wonderful.

The team welcomed my Dad and given him a safe and comfortable place to live.

When the time came to pass on his care to people who are trained in his needs, the staff took control and knew exactly how to continue provide for him.

His dignity is respected and that goes a great way in putting the family's mind at ease.

We chose Wilmslow Manor Care Centre for my mum after she had done 2 weeks of respite care there - we didn’t need to look anywhere else after that, as we knew this was the place for mum. The staff have been excellent. They are caring, as you’d expect, but they go further than this, you can see they have a vested interest in mum’s happiness and well-being, and also in my family. You really feel part of the home when you visit, and can just slot into whatever they are doing. The ambience of the home is lovely, it feels calm and welcoming (with a hot drink and biscuit always offered!). Nothing ever seems too much effort for the staff, and I know mum is in safe hands. She looks well, enjoys her food, and seeing her smile makes me know we made the right decision in choosing the home. It’s a difficult time making the transition, but the home made it as simple and straightforward as they possibly could, and could not have been more supportive. Thank you to the whole team at Wilmslow Manor - you are amazing!

My father needed respite care following a big operation in February. Wilmslow Manor Care Centre proved to be the perfect place to help him recover and get stronger. The nurses and carers looked after him very well and the chef ensured he was provided with lovely gluten-free meals. I must also say thank you to the manager and administration staff who ensured the transfer from the hospital went ahead without any problems.

My mother moved into Wilmslow Manor Care Centre one month ago. As you will appreciate this has been a very sad transition for a wonderful vibrant mother and wife. The carers and team leads have helped with this transition treating my mother with respect and care. I would like to recognise one carer in particular for her amazing care and help to us, also the registered nurse who spent time talking to me with empathy and genuine care and understanding. I discussed with the manager my opinion on fees for care. I live in Toronto, Canada so making sure my mum is settled and my father is happy has been important. The care is my most important priority.

My mother-in-law was looked after for two weeks. Her care was excellent. She was talking better and more aware than when she went in. Food was beautiful. Couldn't find fault at all. She is going to have respite care again as she enjoyed it. The staff were faultless and extremely caring.

Racheal Job Title:Home Administrator

I have had the pleasure of working at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre for the past three years, where I currently hold the position of Home Administrator. My journey with the home began on reception, where I first discovered my passion for creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

From the very beginning, I was drawn to the close-knit community that makes Wilmslow Manor so special. The residents, families, and staff truly feel like one big family, a place filled with care, compassion, and laughter. I take great pride in being part of a team that puts people at the heart of everything we do.

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is meeting people each day and seeing the genuine smiles on our residents’ faces. Knowing that they are happy and well cared for brings me a real sense of fulfilment. The variety of my role means no two days are ever the same, and I am constantly learning and developing new skills, working closely with our Home Manager and supporting him to provide the best service we can possibly offer to all our residents, families and friends.

I feel incredibly fortunate to work for such a supportive and caring company, surrounded by colleagues who share the same passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Being part of Wilmslow Manor is more than just a job for me — it’s a privilege to contribute to a place where kindness and community truly thrive.
