View Full Details of Wilmslow Manor Care HomeMy experience of WM was originally as a Daughter of a resident for two years. Sadly my Mum is no longer with us, but when my friends mum recently moved into Wilmslow Manor on respite, I jumped at the chance to go and visit her. I had the best afternoon in a long time and even though she'd only been on there a few weeks, I could see how much she'd settled in. The whole team at Wilmslow Manor cannot be faulted in any way, shape or form. Some friends said I bonkers to go back to the place where my mum passed away, but to me it just felt like going home again and think that speaks a thousand positive words about the place! The staff become family to every single resident in there, and to their families too. So if you want a care home where you're loved one will be loved, cared for at the highest standard, and just as important be kept entertained with a whole host of activities and trips out. Look no further! Darren and his team are truly amazing x
Absolutely amazing place!! Cannot fault it!!
I can't praise highly enough Darren and all his team at Wilmslow Manor Care Home. We had been looking for Residential Care for my Step Mum and after meeting Darren and some of his team decided that Wilmslow would be ideal. To cut a long story short my step mum was discharged from her rehabilitation centre at VERY short notice but fortunately there was a vacancy at Wilmslow. Everyone at Wilmslow made the process of getting my step mum settled in a very smooth experience, nothing was too much trouble which has meant she has settled in wonderfully well and is really enjoying life in her new surroundings. I would thoroughly recommend Wilmslow to anyone seeking residential or nursing care for a member of their family without any hesitation.
My husband has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor for almost 18 months and the Home have been wonderful in helping him to settle in. The staff are exceptional and respond really quickly to any queries or requests. They have taken a huge amount of trouble to cater for my husband's particular needs and preferences. There is a wide range of activities for the residents and the food is excellent. The large balconies and garden terrace are lovely as my husband really enjoys sitting out in the sunshine when the weather is good. There is always a bright smiley welcome when I walk through the door and I feel very much at home when I am there.
My Mum has been a resident at Wilmslow Manor since Aug this year and has settled really well. Staff team are fantastic, and all maintain a friendly approachable manner, which is vital. They are additionally responsive to requests/chats about needs and how best to support my Mum going forwards. They have now also adopted her favourite term for them "Sunshine". My family and I visit regularly and find things to be consistently positive. My Mum engages well in activities including the trips out that she loves, and enjoys the food, all of which is assisting her to thrive in this lovely environment.
A super place, all staff went the extra mile. Made my recovery a lot easier, always different things to do. The staff gave me the information and confidence I needed, also the food was really nice. I would recommend Wilmslow manner to everyone, however you are.
The staff at Wilmslow Manor make it the exceptional place that it is. A friendly welcome greets you at reception. The lovely surroundings are beautifully maintained by housekeeping keeping and facilities, and residents are given personalised individual care with kindness, respect and good humour. The innovative well-being team are so encouraging, whether or not you participate in their activities - it's a joy to observe everyone's dedication and enthusiasm. You are made to feel like a member of one big family where personal concerns can be freely expressed, happiness shared and problems solved; and this applies to residents' families and friends too. Mum sings their praises all the time and likes to boast that the chef made her a special meal of 'Fried Rice when she was 'resident of the day'! A well-deserved 10/10 in the recent survey.
I cannot fault any of the staff, each and every one of them are very special. They welcome you when visiting with a greeting and a smile. They do their utmost to make sure your visit is special. As for caring for my husband, it is 100% all the time. Nothing is too much trouble. They are all wonderful.
The staff are absolutely brilliant - nothing is too much trouble. Their attitude, help and general approach enormously helped mum settle in.
The manager and the entire team at Wilmslow Manor have been incredibly welcoming to my mother, who was recently admitted. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff have been exceptional. The food is excellent, and nothing is ever too much trouble. The team consistently go above and beyond to ensure my mother's comfort, even offering a carrot to our dog during a visit. An incredibly thoughtful touch that really stood out. Staff handle delicate matters with great sensitivity, preserving my mother's dignity and making these conversations feel respectful and kind. Their empathy and professionalism have made a world of difference to our family. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Wilmslow Manor. I cannot recommend it highly enough!,
All the staff at Wilmslow manor are exceptional in the service they provide to the residents and their family. My mother in law came here on respite and is now a permanent resident. She is so happy here and talks very highly of all the staff. Her needs are met to a high standard and she is extremely happy to the point of not wanting to leave.
After spending several weeks in hospital, I was taken to Wilmslow Manor Care Home for respite care before I could return home. During the twenty-five days I was there I received nothing but the best care and treatment in the most clean and luxurious surroundings. The room was spotless and comfortable and the food was varied and extremely good. The nurses and all the support staff were excellent in anticipating and catering for my needs and welfare and I can not praise them highly enough. I am sure that this helped a great deal with my recovery.
Viewed 4 homes when needing residential care for active lady with dementia. The staff were really understanding of our requirements & listened to our concerns. We felt understood & reassured that this was the best care home for us. It's modern, bright friendly & clean. The bedrooms are a great size , the bathroom is lovely. The gorgeous garden setting is a great place to be when visiting. This is like a home not a care home.
I viewed several homes for mum . Her care package was no longer suitable at home . Wilmslow Manor stood out as being a great place to chose for respite care . All the staff at my initial visit were warm and welcoming. One staff member came out to visit mum in her own home to assess her needs. The manager has been prompt in answering any queries. It's a huge decision to make to leave your own home . It was always mum's wish to remain at home . The care given in her first week in respite persuaded mum that she was safer and in kind hands and she has decided to stay . It's the little things that have made the difference. Mum has enjoyed others company at meals and in the lounge and her quality of life has improved. She has been able to ask for poached egg for breakfast if she fancies it , a bowl of ice cream and showers which she was unable to have in her flat . I know although it's hard to let go of your home , staff will help mum to feel at home .
My aunt moved into Wilmslow Manor in January 2025 and has been treated with dignity, care and kindness from the entire staff team. All the staff are friendly and professional and go the extra mile in their job role. The home is very clean with beautiful decor and a lovely atmosphere. The entertainment team is amazing with lots of various activities each week that my aunt really enjoys. My aunt is treated as an individual in her preferences and values. She has found a new joy for life thanks to the amazing staff. I would not hesitate in recommending this care home and thank you again to the manager and staff for all your hard work and kindness.
The day we went to look around Wilmslow Manor we knew straight away, that was the place we wanted for mum. The decor is beautiful and airy, everywhere is so clean and each and every one of the staff are amazing. They literally think of every little detail to make life as comfortable as it can be and always go the extra mile. My mum has been at Wilmslow Manor for 2 1/2 years now and we are so happy with the care. I would highly recommend.
My Dad had been a resident at Wilmslow Manor since January 2025 following a sudden deterioration in his health. As a family, we have a number of people working as health professionals, and as such have extremely high expectations in regards to how we hoped Dad would be treated. I have to say, since the first day all of the staff exceeded those expectations with every interaction with Dad and with us as a family. Dad became very unwell last week and passed peacefully Friday evening. I have never seen staff offer such compassion, care, dignity and respect in all of my years working in healthcare. As a family we cannot express how the staff made this difficult situation so much more comforting. We all knew Dad was being looked after, and that offered us the reassurance we needed. Although all of the staff were amazing I feel we have to name 7 staff members in particular. Thank you so much for all that you did. This home is simply outstanding!!
What can I say about the Care Home other than it is outstanding! The staff are so invested in providing exceptional and bespoke care for the residents. The facilities, activities, food and hospitality are excellent and the building is spotless. My father-in-law had issues settling in at first because he was so independent beforehand. However, the staff enabled him to retain as much independence as he could given his condition, meaning it was very dignified for him. He worked his way from residential floor through to the nursing floor, where he passed peacefully away in line with his final wishes and those of the family. Management and the whole team are like a family and I will forever think of them as an extension of my own given how they cared for our family member.
Over the past few weeks I have visited Wilmslow Manor several times to see my 93 year old Aunty. The atmosphere at this Care Home is wonderful. All the staff from reception, management, and carers have been exceptional. My Aunty has been cared for with great kindness and respect and I couldn't wish for anything better.
My husband has been cared for at Wilmslow Manor the last four months. He has a diagnosis of Lewy Body dementia and the staff did all they could to help him settle into a new environment following a spell in hospital. The staff all seem to enjoy their work and always have a welcoming smile whenever I go to visit. Nothing is too much trouble and I feel confident that my husband is safe and is well cared for.
