Care homes can be a challenging environment for all concerned. But upon entering the building, I could feel the goodwill of the staff, see the high standards of the building and see residents smiling and laughing. Very reassuring

Clean and tidy
Welcoming staff and carers.
Felt very relaxed that my friend was being cared for how they deserved.
The place as a whole seems very well run.

Out of the care homes I have unfortunately needed to visit in the past, the Rhallt is certainly up there with one of the best all round

Overall Experience
My parents came to The Rhallt in a respite capacity while waiting for a vacancy in an independent living home. From the outset, they received exceptional and well-balanced care that was appropriate to their needs and circumstances. The staff were consistently friendly, understanding, and attentive, taking time to ensure my parents felt comfortable and respected.
The management demonstrated a high level of professionalism throughout, providing clear guidance and strong support in helping to plan my parents' next move. Particular efforts were made to accommodate their specific needs, which made a meaningful difference to their stay.
The home itself had an upbeat, positive atmosphere, which contributed greatly to my parents' overall wellbeing. Communication was effective and reassuring at all stages, keeping us well informed and confident in the care being provided.

Overall, we are very grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and support shown by everyone at The Rhallt.

Dad has been here for 12 months. He has settled in and enjoys sitting in the lounge with company. He is hoisted everywhere and everyone handles him with care. He loves the 'banter' with staff and enjoys the hot showers. Every treats him with kindness even when he gets frustrated at being immobile.

Mum has been at The Rhallt for 3 years. The care she receives is excellent. She loves the staff, always smiling and happy to be around them. I just want to say a massive thank you to the team at the Rhallt.

I have recently moved my father from another home due to poor care. Ingrid, Amy and the care team have provided excellent care for my father, above and beyond a generic approach, catering to very specific , personal needs and honesty feel like a family to myself and my father. Amazing regular activities, quality meals and continuous improvements in the homes presentation, equipment and facilities. I wish this home was my first consideration.

My husband was at the Rhallt from end of February to May 14th when he unfortunately died.
He was there on palliative care and I feel the fantastic care he had made his final month's peaceful and happy, also I believe it extended his life.
The staff are the most incredible people so caring and supportive to both of us during his time there. The dignity and respect he was given was amazing,as someone who has worked in care I appreciate a good care home.
The management are great and the whole atmosphere is calming. The food is unbelievable, a 3 course menu is posted near the door every day and lots of extras available, afternoon snacks, evening snacks with all dietary requirements catered for.
The nurses are very gentle and supportive, the carers also are very professional and caring and all love their jobs.
The housekeepers take great care with laundry etc .

They are very open and welcoming. If looking for the very best of care I would highly recommend this welcoming haven.

Review from Mark S (Son of Resident) published on 18 November 2024 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother was a resident at the Rhallt from September 2022 until October 2024. This was a difficult time in her life due to progressive dementia and an increasing inability to care for herself. In the final year of her life, she was totally dependent upon her carers for all her needs. Mum rotated through a few wards/areas within the home but spent her final year in the nursing unit in the upstairs part of the main building. My comment is that the staff were exceptional. It is immensely difficult to care for older people who cannot communicate, are physically frail and are totally reliant on others. In all my interactions with the nursing staff, carers, cleaners, caterers and everyone else who helped my mother in her final years I was struck by their kindness, professionalism and ability to remain cheerful and positive. The home is excellent and the staff is exceptional. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

The Rhallt has really taken care of my nan. She is happy on her unit, and some days she recognises me more than what she previously did. All the staff are friendly and helpful. They all try to ensure any requests made are done. Nan always looks respectable and well-dressed, which she used to do herself, so it's nice to see her being able to still do. Activities always offer for her to join with the things she loved doing before coming here. Overall, very lovely home.
