Ingrid has been at the Rhallt since January 2023. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 2006 and as a Specialist District Nurse in 2014. Ingrid worked for Powys Teaching Health Board for over 10 years, initially as a Staff Nurse and later within a District Nursing Team. As a District Nurse, Ingrid specialised in Tissue Viability and Palliative Care. From there, Ingrid went on to manage the Ophthalmology/ENT department in a District General Hospital before coming to the Rhallt as Deputy Manager. During COVID, Ingrid worked for Public Health England as part of their Corporate Response Team. Having worked in the NHS for 18 years, Ingrid completed her MBA in 2019 and moved into the private sector. Having managed a Nursing home in Shropshire and turning it around from CQC-rated 'Requires Improvement' to 'Good', the General Manager position arose at the Rhallt, and she was keen to return to work with the amazing team.
Amy started at the Rhallt in June 2023. At her previous home, where she worked with Ingrid, Amy headed up the newly commissioned Dementia Unit and has a passion for both Dementia and General Care. With a background in both administration and care, Amy inspires the care team to drive quality and ensure our residents are cared for and living their best lives. Amy is really passionate about residents' well-being and ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
Jo is a Registered Mental Health Nurse who works on the Breidden Unit, our Dementia Floor. Jo has worked at the Rhallt for over 10 years and gives us an invaluable perspective on the management of Dementia and other mental health-related conditions. Jo is hugely passionate about the equity of care and is leading the development of complementary therapy within the home. Jo was awarded the Spirit of Lovett award in 2024 for her dedication to both her profession and the home.
Cristina has worked at the Rhallt since 2004 and leads the Nursing team upstairs on Castell Coch. She is passionate about Care Quality and a strong advocate for getting Palliative care right every single time.
Nicola, a dedicated Registered General Nurse, has been with The Rhallt since 2019. Her extensive experience across diverse care settings, including A&E and her time as a Community Staff Nurse make her an invaluable source of knowledge and support on the floor. Nic is extremely passionate about Tissue Viability and Palliative Care. Nicola is one of the Rhallt's fluent Welsh-speaking staff.
Lynne is an experienced Registered General Nurse who has worked at the Rhallt on Breidden Unit for over 10 years. Having worked in a variety of settings during her career, Lynne has a wealth of knowledge on the floor. Lynne is one of the Rhallt's fluent Welsh-speaking staff.
AnnMarie has worked at the Rhallt since 2013. She works on Castell Coch, our General Nursing Unit. AnnMarie is always smiling, and her 'glass half full' attitude is infectious. When not at work, AnnMarie is a passionate traveller, and her broad-minded pragmatism is a calming presence on the unit. Professionally, AnnMarie advocates strongly for residents' choice and autonomy.
Karen leads the care team at Breidden, our Dementia Unit. She has worked at the Rhallt for 20 years and is an award-winning team leader, having scooped the award for ‘Changing the lives of those we care for’ at the Lovett Annual Care Awards in 2023. Karen is our Dementia Champion and is a real advocate for our residents.
Nicholle has worked at the Rhallt since 2019. She has held both Care and Admin roles within the home and now leads the care team on Castell Coch. Nicholle is passionate about maintaining residents' autonomy and dignity and oversees the induction of new staff on the unit.
Ade has worked at the Rhallt since 2022. He is one of the Seniors on Breidden Unit, supporting Karen to oversee excellent care delivery and is a wonderful example of 'living your values'. Ade always has a smile on his face and is excellent at bringing the team together.
Adi has been at the Rhallt since 2022. He is one of the seniors on Castell Coch and supports Nicholle to ensure that care delivery is the gold standard and that patients can live in the way they would like.
Segun leads the care team on nights. He is a strong leader and a strong advocate of patient-centred care. He is studying towards a PhD and is a strong promoter of education.
Wendy is in charge of the superb team who ensure the Rhallt is not only sparkling but Infection Control Compliant. Wendy is really keen on the Rhallt feeling like a home from home and is responsible for all the extra little touches which make the Rhallt so special.
Dai heads up the Kitchen team, who deliver the most amazing cuisine with diligence paid to those who require modified diets and fortification. Dai joined the Rhallt in August 2025, and one of his first jobs was to host Environmental Health inspectors on their inspection, which gained us yet another 5* review for our kitchen. Mealtimes are cherished at the Rhallt, and Dai enjoys speaking to residents to learn how we can improve their favourite meals and what new culinary adventures we will be undertaking.
