when mum needed to move in to a care home I was very concerned but as soon she came to twyford house I was happy knowing that she was well cared for and very happy. She loves the carers and loves the activities which are so important. Makes me happy knowing mum is safe gives me peace of mind.

All of the staff at Twyford House Care Home in Alsager, are very professional yet friendly. The care which they provide is excellent and I know my sister is in safe hands with them. The food is good, and the bedroom decorated tastefully and really lovely. Any queries are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The activities team ensure a varied programme and each resident is encouraged to participate. The Home also provide lovely trips out on a weekly basis. Upon arrival and departure when visiting my sister the staff always give me a lovely welcome - nothing is too much trouble for them. Outside of office hours it can be difficult to get through to the Home but the staff are busy caring for other residents and I understand they are having a new landline installed which will hopefully assist with the poor WiFi signal that the current telephone line relies on. Overall it's an an excellent care home which I'd be very happy to book myself into if the time comes that I need a care home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review. We are delighted to hear that you have been happy with the care and support your sister receives at Twyford House. A wonderful, welcoming home, really made Cliff feel he was part of the family. The staff have shown outstanding care and understanding of Cliff's general needs as well as his more demanding, demenia requirements. A brilliant open environment. A real home from home, we didn't loose a farther to a care home, we became part of a really big family,

I feel safe and well looked after. The staff are cheerful and kind, and treat me with dignity, although sometimes they are slow to respond to a request for assistance... My room is comfortable and cleaned regularly. I particularly enjoy the food which is always tasty and plentiful and served in a pleasant dining room. Although activities are arranged every day, I appreciate that I am not forced to join in against my wishes, but I have enjoyed some events such as the recent Fathers Day party and trips out to local beauty spots.

As you would expect, there are a few grumbles:
- his room isn't always clean, particularly the floor
- he is often in dirty clothes as he does spill food regularly
- his catheter is often in a mess and hanging off his leg
- he is often in his room without the tv or radio on for entertainment
Following your comments, we have investigated the...
Support staff make me feel at home. They are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
I have had dealings with most areas within the home, from maintenance to nurses. Everyone goes about their daily duties in a calm and professional manner.
All staff are accessible, including the chef for any dietary issues.

We understand how difficult it can be to find the right care home for a loved one, so it is incredibly rewarding to hear that we have been able to give you confidence and peace of mind in the care your mum...
In early May she became unwell, it was hard to see her deteriorating before our eyes. The staff on the unit were caring and attentive to her needs. I only had to speak to a senior, deputy or the new manager and support from the GP and District Nurses were requested.
She passed away peacefully and the staff at the home were kind and compassionate at a really difficult time.
We conducted her funeral from Twyford House, there was numerous staff outside to see her off, it was very emotional, some even came to the funeral.
We returned there for her celebration wake and more staff were in attendance. The food was excellent and everyone remembered her fondly.
We can't thank the staff at Twyford House enough for the support and care they gave to our Mum (in law) Thank you xx
It truly means a great deal to all of us at Twyford House to read your kind words about the care and compassion shown to your mother-in-law over the years. Supporting families through both the...
My Mum was a resident at Twyford for 20 months. The staff and the facilities were excellent and they looked after my Mum generally very well. But beware of what I believe to be unfair contract terms. In the last week's of her life she was awarded NHS funding towards nursing care. We believed that this funding would go towards her Twyford fees. However, small print in the residents contract says that Lovett will take this funding in addition to the agreed fees. If applying for any State funding make sure you ask Lovett how it will be applied or read the contract carefully. I believe some other care homes do not take this approach.
Thank you for your response. Please may I offer my condolences to you on the loss of your Mum. I appreciate that this must be a very difficult time for you and your family. I am aware that the Home Manager has met with you to discuss this concern, and I am very sorry that you remain dissatisfied....
I particularly want to praise Renji and Jean, who have gone above and beyond in the care they've given my mum. Both have been unfailingly kind, compassionate and morale-lifting. My mum is comfortable, well looked after, and genuinely looks forward to their chats and jokes - something that has meant more than words can properly express during a very difficult time in her life.
That said, this praise extends to the wider team at Twyford House. So many carers and staff members have helped make my mum's life not just manageable, but warm and humane. The overall standard of care has been excellent, and the dedication shown has made an otherwise daunt
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful words about your mum's care at Twyford House. It truly means a great deal to all of us that you've taken the time to share your experience.
We understand how significant the transition into residential care can be, especially...
