Lovely airy, modern, purpose built accommodation in attractive surroundings. There is a friendly and positive vibe to the place with lots of smiles from residents and staff.
The staff are very caring, but I do feel that there is a need for more staff on the ground floor at busy times of the day as
there used to be.

The team are genuinely kind, patient, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble. The team are so welcoming, which gives the home a lovely atmosphere, making it feel like a home from home. They offer great activity program and always welcome family to join in too. The team put to so much effort
in to offer a variety of activities. The food is an excellent standard and it's lovely that family can join meal time too.

My husband has been a resident on 24 hour nursing care for over 12 months and in that time has received excellent care which has enabled him to fight against his many health issues and defy his expected prognosis of 6 months. Whilst he is now deteriorating he has exceeded expectations and is still being
positive because he has been enabled to do so.

The well-being team and management team have also been very supportive to me and enabled me to spend however long I want to with him and regularly check on MY wellbeing.

All in all I am very happy with my husbands treatment and care.

Reply from Helen Hartley, Home Manager at Cheadle Manor Care HomeYour husband is an incredible man who we care for deeply. You are also part of the Cheadle Manor family and we will continue to support you when needed. Thank you for your kind words which I will pass on to the team.

My wife has been a resident at Cheadle manor for more than two years and has been very well looked after at all times. All the staff from reception, administration, catering and carers create a warm and friendly atmosphere and treat everyone superbly. The surroundings are attractive, well maintained
and surprisingly spacious. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cheadle Manor to anyone requiring care.

My Mum moved into Cheadle Manor around 3 months ago following an acute deterioration in her condition. She was confused and distressed. From the moment we arrived to look round I was impressed. I have a healthcare background and know not just to look at fixtures and fittings but to look at how the staff
interact with the residents.

The staff here know their residents. They are kind, caring and compassionate. They have cared not just for Mum but for us as we have been on this difficult journey. Mum has suffered great loss and they have helped her and us through it with compassion and care.

All of the staff the cleaners, the chef, the maintenance man, the carers, the well being team , the Manager - everyone - are welcoming, polite, professional in their approach. We have been made to feel like this is Mums home, and she is a priority.

Reply from Helen Hartley, Home Manager at Cheadle Manor Care HomeThank you so much for writing such wonderful feedback. I visit a resident in Cheadle Manor and am always offered a welcome from the staff whilst operating the good check in/out system at reception. Car parking as is usual in such places is always tricky. The friend I visit is reasonably happy and seems well looked after. My late wife being disabled (MS
for many years) I've seen a good many care homes and consider Cheadle Manor as one of the best.

Our mum stayed at Cheadle Manor Care Home to receive Palliative Care under the NHS Continuing Healthcare scheme following discharge from hospital. She had Stage 4 Cancer. Everything about the Care Home was an absolute delight. Her initial instinct was that she would have preferred to be at her own home
but she soon settled thanks to the caring, kind and respectful staff who made sure that she was as comfortable as she could be during her stay. She has sadly gone now but one of her final words to me was to say thank you for helping to get her the place at Cheadle Manor.

My mother moved into Cheadle Manor for end of life care, I can not praise the staff enough. Nothing was to much trouble and the respect and dignity everyone gave to my mother was outstanding and professional right to the end. The support given to the family was caring and compassionate. Wouldn't hesitate

It's a very difficult process when looking for a care home for your loved ones. You consider the physical and emotional care that is needed, how they might develop connections with the team looking after them and the activities that are offered. Cheadle Manor and the team working there surpassed my
expectations. My Grandmother is very well cared for, each individual has taken the time to get to know her and nothing is too much trouble. Her room is lovely and the communal areas are very welcoming.

My husband was a resident for just over a year with several hospital admissions during that time. Last October, he was given end-of-life care at Cheadle Manor with people caring for him who had become like an extended family. They were attuned to all his needs including banter and 'funnies' they exchanged,
which had become a major part of his life there over the past year and they always made me feel welcome and part of Cheadle Manor life too.

Cheadle Manor is an excellent home for a loved one who needs care to be. All staff are very caring to residents, treat them with respect and make them feel both welcome and valued. The home itself is very clean with bright and airy rooms all with en-suite facilities. A purpose-built lounge and dining
room on all 3 floors, plus plenty of high-quality food is available for everyone. I thoroughly recommend Cheadle Manor to all.

My dad was admitted for 2 weeks respite to Cheadle Manor Care Centre. The manager came to our house with a member of the nursing staff to meet Dad prior to admission. They were kind, respectful and caring when dealing with both myself and my dad. His admission was seamless and calm, he met all the staff
who were very caring. We ended up extending his stay to 20 days. The care was excellent, as were the rooms and meals. Would highly recommend.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.943)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.943) out of 10 for Cheadle Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 37 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.943 for Cheadle Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (418 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 439 Ratings = 4.943
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cheadle Manor Care Home is based on 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6, which has been reached with 37 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I am very proud to have worked in a community care setting for over 13 years. I started my career as a Care Support Worker which gave me the experience and confidence I needed to fulfil my life's ambition to train as a registered nurse. For many years I enjoyed working as a nurse in the community building relationships with patients and their families. I always strived to provide high-quality and personalised care to encourage independence for all patients. I started my journey at Bramhall Manor as Deputy Manager and have progressed to Home Manager and have recently moved to Cheadle Manor and I feel privileged to be part of such a hardworking team that provides very high standards of care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence. In my own time, I am a busy mum of 3 enjoying quality family time and also enjoy socialising with friends.
