Welcome to Cheadle Manor a stylish care home located close to Cheadle Village. Cheadle Manor is a purpose-built 68 bedded home designed and built to meet all current CQC requirements and provides the highest standard of safety, comfort and care. The care home offers residential, nursing and dementia care services.

Residents are at the heart of everything they do. It is their aim at Cheadle Manor to enable all of their residents to maintain the highest level of independence and achieve their full potential whatever that may be – physical, intellectual, emotional or social. At Cheadle Manor, they believe this philosophy can be achieved by providing professional, person-centred care, nurturing each resident individually exploring and understanding their needs with the appreciation that care requirements may change and that the team will be responsive to those changing needs. They are there every step of the way.

Internally, the attention to detail is impressive. The high specification and décor of Cheadle Manor have been carefully considered by an interior designer, creating stylish yet comfortable and practical spaces for residents to enjoy. Arranged over three floors, the facilities at Cheadle Manor are exceptional, with each floor enjoying its own communal lounges and restaurants.

All bedrooms boast en suite wet rooms, and there is also a spa assisted bathroom, hairdresser & nail bar. There are beautiful, mature gardens and outside seating areas at Cheadle Manor along with extensive terrace areas to the first and second floors.

We cannot praise enough the care and support given to both our mum and family by the staff at Cheadle Manor. Mum was very happy during her time there. Staff were kind and patient, always welcomed with a smile and staff were always available to listen to concerns and support as necessary. Rooms were
bright and clean and Mum loved the various activities and outings she participated in. We thoroughly recommend Cheadle Manor and are grateful for the time Mum spent there.

On recently retiring I was looking to undertake some voluntary work in a caring capacity. When I had the opportunity to volunteer at Cheadle Manor I jumped at the chance. I felt the ethos of the home is what I believe in which is to celebrate the wonder of people and for them to achieve their full potential
whatever their circumstances and I feel privileged to now be a part of the professional caring wellbeing team at Cheadle Manor. As a keen gardener, I enjoy helping out in the Cheadle Manor garden with other keen volunteers to create a beautiful therapeutic place for residents and for them to be included in the gardening activities. Whilst I’m there a simple chat and cuppa with the residents is always a joy. A friendly face and a listening ear are all that are required to make a difference to someone’s day. I have made some lovely friends with residents their families and staff who I feel go above and beyond in making a real community feel within the home.

Being a regular volunteer along with my wife at Cheadle Manor has been so rewarding. I have always enjoyed gardening and believe it can be very therapeutic for any age and ability and can provide a holistic place to relax in. The residents are so eager to join in with making plans to turn their garden
spaces into interesting and beautiful colourful areas to sit and watch the birds feed etc. and a place to enjoy a chat with family friends and staff.
The Cheadle Manor wellbeing team are passionate about including residents in all decisions about their home and keeping the community feel. I often chat with residents about their own gardens they had and the ideas they now have here at Cheadle Manor.
The overall experience of being a volunteer at Cheadle Manor is making new friends with residents, families and staff and bringing together everyone’s capabilities and experiences forging a happy caring community for all.

The carers provided an excellent service to my mum who was in the home due to advanced dementia. The care that my mum, dad and I received when she was at end of life was outstanding. They were caring, compassionate and went above and beyond expectations. We were kept informed at every stage and my mum's

I’m very impressed with the care shown to my mother. The care staff listen and acts on any requests made for updates, as well as keeping us informed promptly of any upward, or downward, swings in Mum's health and emotional state.
The Wellbeing team ensure every resident is included in activities if
they so wish, and go that extra mile getting to know individuals to celebrate and remember special moments for them.

I go to Cheadle Manor at least twice a week to visit my mum, who has been there since July this year.
My mum wasn't able to return home where she had lived independently following a stroke. Although she would still prefer to be in her own home and suffers from bouts of depression, one thing my mum
and I both agree on is that all the staff are caring and support and motivate her on a daily basis.
I am kept informed of my mum's physical and mental health, and they are aware of her triggers and foibles. Her room is kept clean, and her clothing is cleaned regularly, which is important for her to be able to maintain her dignity.
The majority of the staff on my mum's floor are amazing, particularly as they have had to endure low staffing levels lately but have made sure that the effect on the residents has been kept to a minimum.
I hope that staffing levels will be increased soon as the residents are entitled to and pay for the type of care that the staff want to give them.

Please be assured the home is fully staffed, and all our team members are employed directly by New Care, we do not use any agency staff. On occasion, due to short-notice sickness, the home can appear to have fewer staff. On such occasions, care staff are offered extra shifts and the ancillary team, who are all fully trained in the delivery of care assist residents. My aunt has been at Cheadle Manor for 18 months. She has settled well and is much happier in the home than she was living alone. She is occupied daily by the staff and in particular the well being team, who spend time with the residents, encouraging them to participate in the activities available to

I go into Cheadle Manor five days each week to visit my husband and I am always pleased to see how caring and kind the staff are. Although I would much prefer my husband to be at home with me, I realise this is not possible and so I have the satisfaction of knowing that he is being well cared for here.
Meals are good, the accommodation is clean and comfortable and the weekly activities are well planned for anyone who wants to participate.

The nursing staff have been battling a pressure sore on my wife's rear. They have been very good in looking after her with this problem. Also, keeping me well informed of their progress. She had a seizure on Sunday 3rd of September, they informed me immediately of the problem and told me that she had
been admitted to hospital. On her return they kept me up to date on what medication they have to give her. I can't thank them enough for their help.

My mother has been at Cheadle Manor Care Centre for ten months. During that time, the staff at the home and the management of the company have dealt with every concern or issue that's come up promptly and with skill and compassion. These have included safeguarding issues and expert management of my
mother's conditions. Mum's deteriorating health makes her very sad - but she is able to distinguish between regret for her loss of independence and the exemplary standard of care she gets at Cheadle Manor. The nursing and care staff are outstanding in their patience and skill and their willingness to listen and adapt to each resident's needs. You can feel it yourself as a visitor. There is an unfailing attention to detail, that reflects the vision and expertise of the home's manager. Residents and carers are routinely consulted. Suggestions are acted on and criticisms addressed. It's a lovely purpose-built building. Everyone who needs it should have this standard of care.

Our mother has been at Cheadle Manor Care Centre for six months. It was a significant step to leave her own home but, in the event, she has coped well. The success of the move is, in no small measure, due to the care and professionalism of the friendly staff who arranged her admission smoothly and efficiently,
helped her settle and now continue to look after her with kindness and consideration. The staff work hard but somehow make the time to ensure that the residents feel valued and that their needs are respected.
There is an evident willingness from caregivers to engage with relatives and friends. Management is accessible and any questions or concerns are addressed. There is a strong ethos of shared endeavour with the family to ensure the best possible health and comfort of our mother.
The building is attractive, light and airy, with well-appointed rooms and communal areas. Our mother enjoys the meals!

Always pleased to enter Cheadle Manor Care Centre; I know it's not an easy job looking after the elderly and sick but they do a good job. What many do not know is that the average shift is 10-12 hours for the care home workers. I congratulate you on a job well done.

My mother was a resident here for eight months during the final stages of cancer. She had a beautiful room, fabulous food, very efficient pain relief and a very contented few months. I cannot fault the care and attention that she received and the friendship and support that I received.

I looked at seven other care homes before being lucky enough to get a nursing bed here. The staff are all totally amazing from the reception to the management. The care and attention are second to none. I visit every day and at no stage is Mum left for more than half an hour without someone popping
in. You will not find a better home in this area.

I am very proud to have worked in a community care setting for over 13 years. I started my career as a Care Support Worker which gave me the experience and confidence I needed to fulfil my life's ambition to train as a registered nurse. For many years I enjoyed working as a nurse in the community building relationships with patients and their families. I always strived to provide high-quality and personalised care to encourage independence for all patients. I started my journey at Bramhall Manor as Deputy Manager and have progressed to Home Manager and have recently moved to Cheadle Manor and I feel privileged to be part of such a hardworking team that provides very high standards of care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence. In my own time, I am a busy mum of 3 enjoying quality family time and also enjoy socialising with friends.

Nikola Szyma?ska

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2024

I qualified as a registered nurse in 2022 and began my career in the care home sector, where I quickly developed a strong passion for fostering meaningful relationships with residents and their families. After six months in my role as a nurse, I successfully applied for the role of Clinical Lead. My background in management, gained from roles I held since the age of 16, enabled me to transfer valuable leadership skills to this new position. Everyday is a day to learn something new. I joined Cheadle Manor as a Clinical Lead in 2024. With the warm support from my team I settled in quite quickly and it feels like home now. I have a strong passion for dementia care and I have completed a Diploma in Dementia Studies to improve my ability to connect with and care for individuals living with dementia and to share my knowledge with others. In my role as Clinical Lead, I prioritize maintaining high standards of quality care, identifying areas for improvement, and fostering a culture of mentorship and shared values within my team. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Advanced Leadership in Professional Practice to further refine my leadership capabilities, allowing me to better support my team and enhance patient care.

Theophilus Mensah

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2021

Driven by a deep passion for patient well-being, I am a Registered Nurse committed to delivering high-quality and holistic care. My 7 years of experience in general nursing have instilled in me a strong foundation in providing skilled and compassionate care. I hold a Bachelor of science in Nursing from Valley View University in Ghana. I have experience in medical and surgical nursing, mental health nursing, pediatric nursing, public health nursing, and obstetric and gynecological nursing. I have really enjoyed working in emergency and intensive care units. I was employed by Newcare as a Registered Nurse in November 2021. With the great support and guidance from fellow colleagues, I merged into the team successfully. I worked as a Registered Nurse for 3 years. During these years, I attended trainings and seminars to stay up to date with current best practices, I worked closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-being of residents, I managed difficult situations exhibiting professionalism and empathy, and also built strong relationships with the residents and their families. I started working as a Clinical Lead in October 2024 after a successful interview as I knew I had the skills and qualities to manage and lead my team effectively. In this role, I work directly with the Home Manager to provide exceptional experience for all residents, their families, and friends. I find working at Cheadle Manor exciting and rewarding. Alongside work, I enjoy playing my piano, reading books and being there for the residents.

Hannah Preston

Job Title: Head of Care Joined: 2023

I started working for New care in 2023 as a team leader. From the second I walked through the doors at Cheadle Manor I was greeted warmly and could see the outstanding levels of care throughout the home which elevated my passion for caring. Throughout my 18 months I have always been supported by New Care, our management team and all aspects of teams throughout the home. We are always encouraged to bring new ideas and to develop our skills. I have recently been given the amazing opportunity the step up as head of care and I am enjoying learning and developing within my new role. I aspire to continue high levels of care and to use my new role to inspire and ensure the continued success of our team and the wellbeing of our residents and their families'.

I have worked at Cheadle Manor since it opened its doors in December 2021. I'm so proud to work with a team of people who truly care. We work in someone's home, and we do our best to ensure they're comfortable, happy and definitely have some fun along the way! I love to be able to make a difference, think outside the box and create memories that will last a lifetime for all.
