I go into Cheadle Manor five days each week to visit my husband and I am always pleased to see how caring and kind the staff are. Although I would much prefer my husband to be at home with me, I realise this is not possible and so I have the satisfaction of knowing that he is being well cared for here.
Meals are good, the accommodation is clean and comfortable and the weekly activities are well planned for anyone who wants to participate.

The nursing staff have been battling a pressure sore on my wife's rear. They have been very good in looking after her with this problem. Also, keeping me well informed of their progress. She had a seizure on Sunday 3rd of September, they informed me immediately of the problem and told me that she had
been admitted to hospital. On her return they kept me up to date on what medication they have to give her. I can't thank them enough for their help.

My mum has been taken care of really well. It's given her a good quality of life. Her overall appearance seems to improve weekly, think this is the hair dressing facilities and having her nails tended to which she loves.

My mother has been at Cheadle Manor Care Centre for ten months. During that time, the staff at the home and the management of the company have dealt with every concern or issue that's come up promptly and with skill and compassion. These have included safeguarding issues and expert management of my
mother's conditions. Mum's deteriorating health makes her very sad - but she is able to distinguish between regret for her loss of independence and the exemplary standard of care she gets at Cheadle Manor. The nursing and care staff are outstanding in their patience and skill and their willingness to listen and adapt to each resident's needs. You can feel it yourself as a visitor. There is an unfailing attention to detail, that reflects the vision and expertise of the home's manager. Residents and carers are routinely consulted. Suggestions are acted on and criticisms addressed. It's a lovely purpose-built building. Everyone who needs it should have this standard of care.
Reply from Rowena Bolton, Manager at Cheadle Manor Care HomeThank you for your review, I am pleased that both your family and your mum have had a positive experience at Cheadle Manor as all our staff endeavour to give good quality person-centred care.

Our mother has been at Cheadle Manor Care Centre for six months. It was a significant step to leave her own home but, in the event, she has coped well. The success of the move is, in no small measure, due to the care and professionalism of the friendly staff who arranged her admission smoothly and efficiently,
helped her settle and now continue to look after her with kindness and consideration. The staff work hard but somehow make the time to ensure that the residents feel valued and that their needs are respected.
There is an evident willingness from caregivers to engage with relatives and friends. Management is accessible and any questions or concerns are addressed. There is a strong ethos of shared endeavour with the family to ensure the best possible health and comfort of our mother.
The building is attractive, light and airy, with well-appointed rooms and communal areas. Our mother enjoys the meals!
Reply from Rowena Bolton, Manager at Cheadle Manor Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to review our home. Mum's overall experience at Cheadle Manor Care Centre was excellent. It took her a while to adjust as she wanted to be in her own home.
On observation, the staff that dealt with Mum were caring and compassionate.
Continue the great work.

Always pleased to enter Cheadle Manor Care Centre; I know it's not an easy job looking after the elderly and sick but they do a good job. What many do not know is that the average shift is 10-12 hours for the care home workers. I congratulate you on a job well done.

My mother was a resident here for eight months during the final stages of cancer. She had a beautiful room, fabulous food, very efficient pain relief and a very contented few months. I cannot fault the care and attention that she received and the friendship and support that I received.

I looked at seven other care homes before being lucky enough to get a nursing bed here. The staff are all totally amazing from the reception to the management. The care and attention are second to none. I visit every day and at no stage is Mum left for more than half an hour without someone popping
in. You will not find a better home in this area.

Although our very dear friend was only in your care home a short time, she was enjoying getting to know you all as you were with her when she suddenly died. From the time we came to look around the home then throughout her short stay, we found your staff caring, compassionate, and very kind. She settled
in the home much quicker than we had anticipated as a result. Thank you for everything you did for her, we'd especially like to thank the laundry lady for her efficiency in marking all her clothes and the hospitality lady is a real asset to your team. I would definitely recommend the home and have already done so.

My mother has been admitted into Cheadle Manor Care Centre for assessment in relation to her having Dementia and a range of other health issues. From the minute my mam arrived, she received the best of care, and all the staff greeted myself and my sister in a friendly and helpful manner. The staff present
with a strong ethical and professional approach to their work with a "can do" attitude in assisting their residents and their families in organising external hospital and other appointments and meeting everyone's needs. The home itself is beautiful and presents more like a five-star hotel as opposed to a care home. We feel so lucky and privileged that our mam has been placed into Cheadle Manor, knowing that she is receiving the best of care from the staff. Thank you, Cheadle Manor.

All of the staff at Cheadle Manor go above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. The care they show for the residents is exemplary, and they have helped my mum settle in beautifully. It is the extra touches they do that makes them so special - printing off a photo of my mum chatting to other residents
to show my daughter that Grandma has friends!

Cheadle Manor is an outstanding home. My mum has been there since February after suffering a major stroke. She has made outstanding progress with thanks to the manager and her fantastic team. Everyone who works there delivers a first-class service where care is at the heart of everything they do. Compassion
and dignity are hallmark traits too! My mum's health is improving day by day; she is happy and I can rest at night knowing that Mum is safe, secure, and has everything she needs. Thank you, Cheadle Manor!

Even though my parents only recently moved into their care home it has been the most overwhelmingly positive experience for the whole family. The manager and staff are so friendly to my parents and to us when we visit. Nothing is too much trouble for anybody and they are all working towards my parents
living their best life, whilst living in a beautiful and safe environment. The food is excellent and there is always a cup of tea and freshly baked cake when you visit. This move was a huge step for us all to make but the staff have made it as easy a transition as possible.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.943)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.943) out of 10 for Cheadle Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 37 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.943 for Cheadle Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (418 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 439 Ratings = 4.943
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cheadle Manor Care Home is based on 37 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6, which has been reached with 37 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I am very proud to have worked in a community care setting for over 13 years. I started my career as a Care Support Worker which gave me the experience and confidence I needed to fulfil my life's ambition to train as a registered nurse. For many years I enjoyed working as a nurse in the community building relationships with patients and their families. I always strived to provide high-quality and personalised care to encourage independence for all patients. I started my journey at Bramhall Manor as Deputy Manager and have progressed to Home Manager and have recently moved to Cheadle Manor and I feel privileged to be part of such a hardworking team that provides very high standards of care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence. In my own time, I am a busy mum of 3 enjoying quality family time and also enjoy socialising with friends.

Driven by a deep passion for patient well-being, I am a Registered Nurse committed to delivering high-quality and holistic care. My 7 years of experience in general nursing have instilled in me a strong foundation in providing skilled and compassionate care. I hold a Bachelor of science in Nursing from Valley View University in Ghana. I have experience in medical and surgical nursing, mental health nursing, pediatric nursing, public health nursing, and obstetric and gynecological nursing. I have really enjoyed working in emergency and intensive care units. I was employed by Newcare as a Registered Nurse in November 2021. With the great support and guidance from fellow colleagues, I merged into the team successfully. I worked as a Registered Nurse for 3 years. During these years, I attended trainings and seminars to stay up to date with current best practices, I worked closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-being of residents, I managed difficult situations exhibiting professionalism and empathy, and also built strong relationships with the residents and their families. I started working as a Clinical Lead in October 2024 after a successful interview as I knew I had the skills and qualities to manage and lead my team effectively. In this role, I work directly with the Home Manager to provide exceptional experience for all residents, their families, and friends. I find working at Cheadle Manor exciting and rewarding. Alongside work, I enjoy playing my piano, reading books and being there for the residents.
