I am very proud to have worked in a community care setting for over 13 years. I started my career as a Care Support Worker which gave me the experience and confidence I needed to fulfil my life's ambition to train as a registered nurse. For many years I enjoyed working as a nurse in the community building relationships with patients and their families. I always strived to provide high-quality and personalised care to encourage independence for all patients. I started my journey at Bramhall Manor as Deputy Manager and have progressed to Home Manager and have recently moved to Cheadle Manor and I feel privileged to be part of such a hardworking team that provides very high standards of care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence. In my own time, I am a busy mum of 3 enjoying quality family time and also enjoy socialising with friends.
I qualified as a registered nurse in 2022 and began my career in the care home sector, where I quickly developed a strong passion for fostering meaningful relationships with residents and their families. After six months in my role as a nurse, I successfully applied for the role of Clinical Lead. My background in management, gained from roles I held since the age of 16, enabled me to transfer valuable leadership skills to this new position. Everyday is a day to learn something new. I joined Cheadle Manor as a Clinical Lead in 2024. With the warm support from my team I settled in quite quickly and it feels like home now. I have a strong passion for dementia care and I have completed a Diploma in Dementia Studies to improve my ability to connect with and care for individuals living with dementia and to share my knowledge with others. In my role as Clinical Lead, I prioritize maintaining high standards of quality care, identifying areas for improvement, and fostering a culture of mentorship and shared values within my team. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Advanced Leadership in Professional Practice to further refine my leadership capabilities, allowing me to better support my team and enhance patient care.
Driven by a deep passion for patient well-being, I am a Registered Nurse committed to delivering high-quality and holistic care. My 7 years of experience in general nursing have instilled in me a strong foundation in providing skilled and compassionate care. I hold a Bachelor of science in Nursing from Valley View University in Ghana. I have experience in medical and surgical nursing, mental health nursing, pediatric nursing, public health nursing, and obstetric and gynecological nursing. I have really enjoyed working in emergency and intensive care units. I was employed by Newcare as a Registered Nurse in November 2021. With the great support and guidance from fellow colleagues, I merged into the team successfully. I worked as a Registered Nurse for 3 years. During these years, I attended trainings and seminars to stay up to date with current best practices, I worked closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-being of residents, I managed difficult situations exhibiting professionalism and empathy, and also built strong relationships with the residents and their families. I started working as a Clinical Lead in October 2024 after a successful interview as I knew I had the skills and qualities to manage and lead my team effectively. In this role, I work directly with the Home Manager to provide exceptional experience for all residents, their families, and friends. I find working at Cheadle Manor exciting and rewarding. Alongside work, I enjoy playing my piano, reading books and being there for the residents.
I started working for New care in 2023 as a team leader. From the second I walked through the doors at Cheadle Manor I was greeted warmly and could see the outstanding levels of care throughout the home which elevated my passion for caring. Throughout my 18 months I have always been supported by New Care, our management team and all aspects of teams throughout the home. We are always encouraged to bring new ideas and to develop our skills. I have recently been given the amazing opportunity the step up as head of care and I am enjoying learning and developing within my new role. I aspire to continue high levels of care and to use my new role to inspire and ensure the continued success of our team and the wellbeing of our residents and their families'.
I have worked at Cheadle Manor since it opened its doors in December 2021. I'm so proud to work with a team of people who truly care. We work in someone's home, and we do our best to ensure they're comfortable, happy and definitely have some fun along the way! I love to be able to make a difference, think outside the box and create memories that will last a lifetime for all.
