Amazing place. Staff on second floor absolutely wonderful. All friendly, kind and considerate. Food is wonderful as well. Guaranteed to help fill you up after being ill.
Having access to a local G.P if you have a problem is also an excellent thing for someone like me who has had numerous small things
develop whilst here.
Reply from Farai Hanyane, Home Manager at Statham Manor Care HomeThank you for the kind review and I am delighted you have received good care during your short stay on our discharge to assess community. I will share your feedback with the team and the GP surgery.

I cannot recommend Statham Manor enough. The staff and the facilities on the whole are outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for my mother and the staff ensured an extremely stressful time for Mum was eased beyond belief for her and myself. A huge thank you to them all for their kindness, friendliness
and professionalism.

Excellent care, only one criticism: no physio, very disappointed during stay. My husband, who is struggling to walk, needed this, but was only seen by physio once during period of stay, which was seventeen days.
Reply from Farai Hanyane, Home Manager at Statham Manor Care HomeThank you for your review and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for your experience during your husband's short stay at Statham Manor. Your husband was on our hospital discharge to assess community that is run in conjunction with Warrington hospital and Statham Manor. Unfortunately, we do not have control over who the therapist sees and how often people are seen, however, I will feed this back to the therapy team. Please accept my sincere apologies for your experience.

Moved Mum here after several issues at her old care home. Statham Manor is a lovely care home, the staff are all lovely, friendly and welcoming and Mum is looked after really well. The carers are great with her, they really seem to care and take their time with all the residents. Mum has actually put
some weight on as they're so good at meal times with her, making sure she has enough to eat. Mum always look clean and well-presented and she always has her hearing aid in with a battery that's working. It was the best thing we ever did moving her here, I recommend Statham Manor to everyone.

I can not describe in words how amazing Statham Manor is. Yes, everything is lovely and clean and new, but the people who work there go over and beyond and have treated my mum with compassion, dignity and endless patience. My mum has been in hospital for some time, and she reluctantly came to Statham
Manor for respite before going home. We couldn’t ask for anything more. It beat any expectations we had. My mum no longer wants to go home as she is receiving the best care in the best environment.

Mum is exceptionally well looked after here. She loves the food, and we even had warm parties to enjoy ay our last visit. The event organiser provides a great selection of activities and outings and does her very best to engage everyone in them; Mum loved the trip to the safari park! Finally, Mym makes
a lot of use of the spa bath and hair salon; going there defiantly puts a smile on her face, thanks to the wonderful and kind, caring staff. Statham Manor is a wonderful for Mum to be.

An excellent facility providing personalised care plans with dignity and respect. All staff work as a complete team and are exemplary at all times, providing a safe, homely, nurturing environment for residents and visitors. Nothing is too much trouble. The team is headed by a manager whose ethos is
to promote continuity of care with support, empathy and compassion. Her meticulous attention to detail is impeccable. The extensive daily activities programme is designed to promote general well-being and success in attaining a comforting sense of community. The food is exquisite, nutritious, with plenty of choices. Rooms are large and ensuite for privacy. The interior decor is tasteful throughout, with landscaped gardens and an outside terrace to enjoy. Our relative is content and very happy to reside here. Would highly recommend it.

We have been very impressed with the care received so far. The staff are all really friendly and helped to make us all feel happy with the difficult decision of choosing the right care for loved ones. The manager is very approachable, and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has replied promptly
to any queries or worries we have had. The place is beautiful, and the choice of food is brilliant and has gone down really well.

Our family are very happy with the care that our parents are receiving at Statham Manor Care Centre. We feel that we have definitely made the right choice for them, as everyone is very friendly and welcoming and doing their best to help them settle into this new chapter in their lives. The surroundings
are beautiful and everywhere is very clean. The manager is really lovely, very approachable and deals with any issues as they arise. She responds to emails extremely quickly, usually within 10-20 minutes, which I feel shows that she really cares about the needs of those in her care and their families. It’s early days yet, but so far, we have nothing but praise for the manager and her team.

Just wow! What a fantastic experience we have had with Statham Manor. The staff have looked after my dad in the most wonderful way. Nothing is too much trouble. The chef has cooked individual meals just to make Dad's stay more pleasurable. I have to be honest, my dad arrived from the hospital a broken
man; he left Statham Manor with dignity and a purpose for life. If Dad had stayed at the hospital, he would have been dead! Statham Manor - hats off to you. You saved Dad. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.559)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.559) out of 10 for Statham Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 14 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.709 for Statham Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (130 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 165 Ratings = 4.709
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Statham Manor Care Home is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have been a qualified nurse for over 17 years and that includes 14 years of experience working in the healthcare industry working with general nursing, Dementia care and young physically disabled and acquired brain injuries. I have had the opportunity to work in a regional role where I covered homes in Wales, Scotland, and England. I am looking forward to being a part of a diverse, modern, and dynamic management team at New Care. I am also excited about building a new team that will deliver high-standard person-centred care in line with the regulators.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2023

I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2012 aged 40. I had a previous career managing pubs but have always wanted to be a nurse.

As a Mental Health Nurse, I worked in a variety of settings but found my passion was working with older people in care homes. I have been working in care homes for the last 8 years, learning so much as I have gone along. I joined Newcare in 2023 as Clinical Lead and am now proud to have the role of Deputy Home Manager.

I love to lead, coach and motivate our brilliant team to be the very best they can be and to provide the very best care for all our residents. We work together as a team to ensure we provide the best person-centred care, seeing the resident as an individual and looking at a holistic approach at all times.
Newcare values very much align with my own putting the resident in the centre of all that we do.

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2023

I have been a Registered General Nurse for 11 years, with most of my experience being in Accident & Emergency, where I gained a lot of knowledge in acute situations and all the different health conditions. I then moved to Newcare just over 1 year ago as the nurse for discharge to assess the unit at Statham Manor for a different challenge. After being the nurse for 8 months I applied and, much to my delight, was successful in achieving the role of clinical lead here. I love our wonderful team and am very proud of the care and support we provide to all our residents, families and staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy attending music festivals/gigs and spending time with my family.
