Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care
Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential
support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort,
dignity, and well-being. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a
crucial role in delivering high-quality care while supervising junior
staff and assisting in the development of care plans tailored to
individual needs.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
- Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is preferred.
- Previous experience administering medications.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents and colleagues.
- IT proficiency for maintaining records and documentation as required.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential transport needs within the role.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to supervise and inspire junior staff members.
- Familiarity with care home regulations and best practices in senior care.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals.
