NIGHT SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT (8pm-8am) 

We have 2 positions available, one 24 hours, one 36 hours. 

NVQ 3 Preferred

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care while supervising junior staff and assisting in the development of care plans tailored to individual needs.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the care team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
  • Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is preferred.
  • Previous experience administering medications. 
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents and colleagues.
  • IT proficiency for maintaining records and documentation as required.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential transport needs within the role.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to supervise and inspire junior staff members.
  • Familiarity with care home regulations and best practices in senior care.
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals.
