As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the nursing team by helping to implement care plans and ensuring high standards of care for all service users. While the nursing team leads the development of Care Plans in line with best practice (e.g. NICE guidelines) for service users requiring nursing care, you’ll be responsible for ensuring these plans are effectively implemented. You will work closely with the ward manager, nursing team and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth running of the service.
You’ll be actively involved in coordinating daily shift activities, supervising junior colleagues, and ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Additionally, you’ll take the lead in creating and maintaining care plans for service users who do not require nursing input.
