This also includes access to our online portal which has a variety of resources to aid personal development & free access LinkedIn's online learning platform.A Host Supervisor in a healthcare setting is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the host team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment. This role involves leading and motivating staff, managing schedules, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards. You'll help us make health happen by: Team Leadership: Supervising, motivating, and training host staff, providing guidance, support and maintaining set standards by Head of Hospitality/Richmond Villages to ensure efficient and effective service delivery daily. Customer Service: Ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for Residents and their guests, addressing their needs and resolving any issues or complaints. Operational Management: Overseeing daily operations, including Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner table settings, scheduling, task delegation, and ensuring smooth service flow for ALL meals and Events. Health & Safety: Maintaining a safe and clean environment, detailing and cleaning daily/weekly tasks that are required, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, and ensuring proper food handling and preparation practices.Communication: Maintaining clear communication with kitchen staff, management, and other relevant departments to ensure efficient service delivery. Record Keeping: Ensuring accurate record-keeping of staff attendance, inventory, Residents' Bar bills and other relevant information. Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during service, escalating to management when necessary. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant health and safety regulations. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Leadership and Management: Proven experience in leading and motivating teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and best practices.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage staff schedules and daily operations effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and customers.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
