I cannot praise the care + support at Thatcham Court highly enough - mum was extremely ill and given end of life but she is now walking round the home, joining in all the fantastic daily activities on offer and eating the most delicious food. Review of Ardenlea Court Care Home from Julie T (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I can't thank the wonderful team at Ardenlea Court enough for the loving care they gave my mum Milly for the 3 years she was there. Sadly she passed away at the end of May and the compassion and respect shown by everyone meant so much during a heartbreaking time. She was so happy there and always said she didn't want to be anywhere else which was a comfort to the family knowing she was well cared for and happy.

Review of Freelands Croft Care Home from Tracey D (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum Jean was a resident for a short time (4 days),after a stay in hospital she was transferred to Freelands Croft. The staff were all so lovely from the cleaners, receptionist, health care assistants and nurses. The home was always clean and tidy. As was mums room.

The staff learned our names and were happy to take time to say how mum was doing. Mum had Alzheimer's so wasn't the best at communicating. The morning that mum passed away was obviously sad and unexpected.. my brother and myself had popped to see mum and were shocked to see she was unwell. The nursing staff dealt with the situation efficiently . An ambulance was called and the family decision was made for mum to spend her final days at Freelands Croft. However the days were cut short as mum passed away 3 hours later. The staff treated mum with respect and dignity. Even sending a floral tribute the the funeral. Even though mum was only there a short time the home was amazing and I would recommend .

Review of Croft House Care Home from A A (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother has improved in so many ways since moving to Croft House a few months ago. The staff are very kind and extremely well trained. The nurses aren't afraid to tackle any difficulties appropriately and this results in much better outcomes for the residents in their care. The food is made from scratch, varied and really good quality. The restaurant style service a lunch time is something that my Mum really enjoys. It's wonderful to see her improving so much and an enormous relief not to be constantly worried about her care. Thanks to everyone.

Review of Ashby Court Care Home from Sharon G (Niece of Resident) published on 12 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My uncle was a resident of Ashby Court for the last 9 years, from 2017 to July 2026.
In that time, he was treated well by staff, in particularly the nursing team.
On occasion I had reason to speak to management but on the whole, I and my 2 sisters, were content knowing that he was in 'good hands'.
Our uncle passed away in July and the staff displayed empathy and kindness throughout the distressing time in our lives.

I will keep in touch with Ashby Court and will be attending their upcoming Auction to raise much-needed funds for the residents.

Review of Waverley Grange Care Home from Sophie M (Resident / Service User) published on 12 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
I am very much enjoying the morning session. I've learnt a lot through the good discussions. Entertainment is really good.
Kevin is very good (violin)

I would like a bit more attention on the medical side eg: check my skin. I'd rather not have to call somebody each time as it's an ongoing issue. I am not touched.

Review of Ridley Park Care Home from Joanna H (Daughter of Resident) published on 11 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mam has been in Ridley Park for over a year now. She is well settled and doing great. The home itself is well presented, clean and comfortable. The staff are excellent. We have found every single person to be kind, caring, compassionate and respectful. The food is fabulous. The activities and events are spot on. This weekend saw the summer fair which was great fun for residents and visitors alike. I would highly recommend Ridley Park to anyone who needs residential care.

Review of Hutton Village Care Home from S O (Husband of Resident) published on 11 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Initial review prior to and on day of admission - further reviews will be posted in the fullness of time. Chose of the basis of location and published reviews. Wanted to visit before deciding whether to place my wife in their care and just turned up without any appointment. Was immediately impressed with the reception received by receptionist and the person nominated to show me around. This +ve impression remained throughout the tour relating to the cleanliness, tidiness and maintenance of the building and also with the members of staff met throughout. Based on this i had no hesitation in seeking to place my wife in their care and fortunately they were able to accommodate her in the same week. On transfer from hospital both my and my wife's impression did not change from that prior to admission. If anything they are even more +ve as the admission process was well organised and efficient. Those employees met during her 1st day gave us both the impression that she will be well cared for
