Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad has been a resident with Erskine Hall Care Home for 8 years until he sadly passed away in October 2025 The staff and carers were absolutely amazing with my Dad , who'd suffered a catastrophic stroke in June 2017, leaving him unable to talk or move. All the staff treated my Dad with care and humility,
they understood his personality even though he couldn't talk and through their care and dedication, we believe he survived so long after his stroke. The carers and staff also made time for his wife and family and made it feel like a home from from for my Dad. I highly recommend Erskine Hall.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Very welcoming staff of whom the majority really demonstrate excellent caring skills . Nursing staff are understanding of the needs related to residents which is reassuring. The rooms could be cleaner and it would be nice if the carers had more one to one time to spend with residents as a little chat
can make all the difference, that said they are really busy ensuring residents have all the practical care required.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My parents spent around 7 months at Mount Hall. They were there while dad recuperated after an operation. In some ways, they were reluctant residents, but the staff (carers, household and admin) all worked hard to make their life comfortable and welcoming. Some staff became good friends, and their interest
and attention helped make mum and dad's stay as good as possible. The grounds and accessibility really helped them to maintain some independence. The family are very grateful to all staff at Mount Hall for looking after mum and dad so well.

My mother-in-law came here nearly a year ago last year October 2024. She has been looked after very well by the wonderful regular staff and management. She is very comfortable with Asian staff to talk to, and ask for any type of help she needs. She doesn't enjoy the activities because she cannot sit
on the chairs. Management informed us if there is any issue with her health, and looked after by the GP and other services eg - 111. Care home is very secure, clean and very welcoming. Foodwise - she enjoys the Indian Food, Dali, Curry and Rice, and Lentils. So overall, she is happy.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have now been a resident for 14 months and am quite content, feeling safe and secure. First weeks of residence took some adjustment, but the home and staff were very good at making the transition as easy as possible. The care home is now my home, and when returning from any outing, I always feel safe
and secure with the staff welcoming me as a proper person.

I had a total hip replacement in June. Feeling very vulnerable afterwards, I decided to go into the care home for 2 weeks. The stay there helped me to make a really good recovery. I am able to do much more than I thought, thanks to the care I received.
Thank you everyone at Heol Don Care Home!

Bayford House Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The staff are very thoughtful and attentive and go out of their way to meet residents needs. They deal with my mother very patiently, despite the fact that she isn't always polite in return. There's plenty of varied activities laid on by the staff and they do their best to ensure that the residents
get involved. The food served is varied with plenty of choice available.

At home my mother frequently fell and wasn't eating proper meals. At Bayford House she's getting the care she needs. The staff can't do anything about the fact my mother is very stubborn and often doesn't call for assistance, but I do know she is being well cared for by the staff.

Bayford House is a place in super nice surrounding which is all very well maintained. I find all the staff very pleasant, hard working and easy to speak with in a home like environment. My Dad is looked after very well and enjoys his meals especially the puddings. All in all a Care Home that Cares very
much.

Dad has been at Collingwood Grange for 10 months. He was admitted bed bound, weak and confused. He is now much less confused, no longer bed bound and much better than he was in hospital after his stroke. He is happy and feels safe. He loves the fact the "small brown hairy thing" can visit (my dog watson).

As the daughter of the resident, I love to visit my mother who is a fairly new arrival to your friendly, professionally r-n home. It's very comforting to visit and leave knowing that mum is in the best place to keep her safe and well looked after. The staff are wonderful, starting with the receptionist
and everyone who work so hard to make the residents remaining days a pleasure to be alive.

Service in all areas was good to excellent. It is imperative that users realise the pressures from governmental policies, diversity of employees, difference in pay rates create huge challenges for management in drawing up rotas, trying to create teams. Until a person stays in a care home nobody can
understand the constraints placed on the management. A strength at Cottingley Hall is that many staff live locally. Integration is good within teams although balancing backgrounds and skills is a difficult task. More detailed guidance re helping respite patients would enhance the experience.

Puttenham Hill house is truly wonderful and truly deserving of being in Bupas care home of the year final. I had the pleasure in being involved in the judging day when I was asked to send a message of appreciation that was played to my friend in the sweetest way possible and she was very overwhelmed.
They always go above and beyond. The nursing team are skilled and dedicated with a multitued of talents and the care staff do just that, care.
Ali the manager always has time for everyone no matter what is going on and its so reassuring to know my friend is in such good care. Thank you to everyone at Puttenham Hill

My overall experience at the Arkley Care Home has been and still is excellent. Since the new manager took over, her leadership has seen big changes in the care home. As in staffing, Denisea runs the home to a high level and tactfully pushes all her staff to perform to their best at all times when on
duty. I find all staff in all jobs very efficient, and I am very happy with the care and consideration my wife is given.

My mother-in-law has been living at Fountains Lodge for nearly 3 years. She arrived in a very poorly state and since that day, with the care and expertise of the staff, at nearly 88 is in the best spirits and health she can be at this great age! She is happy and content and considers Foundtains Lodge

I cannot endorse Elmstead Care Home enough. Mum spent the last 4 years of her life with deteriorating dementia, and at all times they treated her with care, respect and love. The last few months, especially, they went the extra mile to keep her in their care when she was very poorly, to ensure her comfort
