We are so grateful to everyone at Ashby Court Care Home for the care and compassion they've shown my Grandma. From the very beginning, the staff have treated her with dignity, kindness, and genuine warmth, which has meant the world to our family.

I especially want to mention Shinette - she is a truly

fantastic lady who puts her whole heart into her job. She goes above and beyond not just for the residents, but for their families too. She always makes us feel welcome, reassured, and valued whenever we visit. Her dedication and positive attitude never go unnoticed.

Dean Wood Care Home

from Eileen C (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum was a resident in Dean Wood for just over four years. I have nothing but praise for the way staff looked after her, especially in her final few weeks. The home was always clean and tidy, mum was always dressed well and there was a good choice of food at meal times. Staff were caring, considerate
and thoughtful always putting mums needs first. I was always kept up-to-date with her nursing care regarding medications and care. In mums final few weeks at Dean Wood her health declined but she was always treated with such dignity and respect.

Whenever family visited we were all made to feel welcome, never felt like we were in the way, everyone would say hello and chat to us. Always greeted with a warm friendly welcome at reception.

Our family cannot thank Dean Wood enough for the quality of care and support given by all members of staff, and we feel very lucky that mum had four years of being part of the 'Dean Wood' family. We really cannot recommend you enough.

A very lovely and friendly care home. All staff and carers/nurses are welcoming. Things that need doing get done quickly. The home makes what is a very difficult time of life more comfortable. It's reassuring that my mother's final days/weeks are the best they can be.

My mother- in- law, has been a resident, at Ardenlea Grove care home, for just over two years. She has always been treated with respect & dignity. The family are notified of any signs of illness & if needed, a doctor will be contacted. We have always found the staff to be very friendly & helpful. Their
jobs are not always easy to do & we do appreciate their hard work. We are kept up to date with any other problems, such as not eating etc.
so, thank you to Ardenlea Grove, for taking good care of a very special lady.

I arrived on 26th and was smilingly greeted and shown to my room which was tastefully decorated in soft cream and navy blue with 2 comfy chairs, a TV and very adequate wardrobes and chest of drawers. The staff have been amazingly attentive and kind throughout my stay. Medical staff have taken responsibility
for my medication and brought it to me identifying it each time and explained what each tablet is for. The housekeeping staff ensures that everything runs smoothly managing cleaning team, activities, games, clubs, and visiting entertainers - working wonders in making each resident feel personally cared for and looked after with incredible kindness. the food is exceptional with a choice of menu every meal and cakes, teas and snacks available all day. It has been truly a privilege to have been made to feel part of this loving community. Thank you all.
