Field House Care Home

from A M (Son of Resident) published on 29 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Thank you Field House. Mum was there for several months. The staff have been very caring, changing Mum's bandages every few days. I was able to assist several times! Not that I minded as I could evaluate Mum's condition and encourage Mum. The management and administrative staff were exceptionally helpful
given the logistical situation (I could only visit once a month for a few days). Everyone has been very kind and helpful, especially at the end, when I needed to talk and ask for practical advice. I warmly recommend Field House whether for a short stay or for longer.

Reply from Maria Ricketts, Customer Care Adviser at Field House Care Home

Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Field House care home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.

Elm Grove Care Home

from S B (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

As always, everything at Chestnut Lodge / Elm Grove continues to be 10/10. Friendly, incredibly patient & loving staff; amazing, stimulating activities; care & health monitoring is totally on the ball - every & any slight concern is immediately communicated to family &/or health services with the urgency
that the situation requires; nutrition requirements & concerns are constantly monitored and evolve according to mum's needs.

My sister & I live in France & the USA respectively, so we cannot visit as often as we would like. I usually manage to visit 4 or 5 times per year, but my sister keeps touch via our weekly "Zoom" video chats, which we all love. We have nothing but the highest praise for everyone at Chestnut Lodge, and we know that our mummy is living her best possible life, and having enormous amounts of fun (as we regularly see via your social media page - a real lifeline for us)! We are so incredibly grateful and cannot recommend your wonderful home enough. Thank you!

I could not have found a better place for my needs.
Post-surgery, I needed recovery time and assistance before returning home.

Many thanks to all who made my stay so good and beneficial.

The home itself is very warm, welcoming with polite staff on entrance. Both me and Mom meet with a smile. I personally have had not one problem whilst mo has been here, with the care staff providing exceptional care towards my Mom and her needs. Even when they seem understaffed the care does not change.
Any questions I've asked have been answered in a timely manner and if staff can't provide the answer they go out of their way to make sure someone will know. Overall exceptional care staff.

Aston Court Care Home

from Diane R (Resident) published on 29 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I am here at Aston Court nursing home for residential recuperation after a heart valve procedure. It is very pleasant, comfortable, clean, bright, quiet, peaceful and in lovely grounds. Staff are wonderful, kind, caring, respectful, cheerful, helpful, patient, efficient and hard-working. Residents are
provided with singalongs & activities they clearly enjoy. I have around 12/13 allergies to foods, some severe causing anaphylactic reactions but the kitchen staff are very careful and have protected me. I am well looked after here. Decent variety of meals or one can ask for something different. Size of meals is good, even for me. I recommend Aston Court and would come again if needed.

Hazelmere House Care Home

My lovely mum entered Hazelmere House for palliative care as she was end of life terminal Esopmageal cancer. She was 93 years old from 17th March to 1st April when she died she was treated with care, kindness, compassion, dignity and professional quality of nursing. Each and every member of staff, without
exception was wonderful. I chose this nursing home for mum because I consider it to be the best in all areas.

My brother was in Red Court for 10 months. I found the staff extremely caring and kind when tending to him. He was always clean and fresh, well fed with patience and caring and always with a smile. The admin staff always greeted me with a cheerful 'hello' and how are you. A nice cup of tea and sometimes
a sandwich always welcome after a 4 hour journey. I could not fault anything so a big thank you

Wykebeck Court Care Home

from J B (Husband of Resident) published on 28 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

I find the home clean tidy and well-maintained. The staff are EXCELLENT and carry out duties in a very friendly, caring way. The home is a home from home for the residents. My wife is bed bound, but the home has plenty of activities for all residents, music afternoons where a trio visit the rooms and
plays music and talks to the residents. The food is varied and presented well. The kitchen staff will provide, within reason, something extra if what's on the menu doesn't suit some residents. All in all, I can not and will not fault "Wyebeck" if it stays like this.

St George's Care Home

from Andrew P (Son of Resident) published on 28 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We are a family with long and very positive experiences of working with St George's Care Home in Cobham. Putting our mother into a dementia care home was a daunting prospect at the start, but we soon realised she was in very good hands. We have all been part of the St George's community for the last
10 years. We really do appreciate everything that the staff have done for Mum and for us over this long period. The St George's team are all so different and come from such varied backgrounds, but they all have the care and wellbeing of the residents at heart. They are a very special team and we really value and appreciate their contribution to all our lives over this last period of Mum's life.

Crossley House Care Home

from Helen C (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum was in Crossley House Care Home for just over a year. From the very first meeting with a staff member and then the home manager and another staff member at my mum's home, we knew she would be in safe hands.
As we got to know everyone at Crossley House (staff and residents), we always felt
like were going to visit my mum and our extended family. All the staff tried their very best for my mum, from encouraging her to get up and dressed in a morning, to joining in the activities (which was not an easy task!)
My mum could be a fiesty character at times, but she did appreciate all the help and assistance of staff too.
We were always made to feel very welcome by everyone at the home and they are all a credit to Bupa.

Colonia Court Care Home

My Auntie was admitted to Colonia Court Paxman House 4 weeks ago with terminal Cancer. I can not put into words the excellent care she received. The love shown to her each time the staff walked into her room was amazing she loved them all. All the family also received the same love and support always
making sure everyone was eating and drinking and taking rest whenever they could and even a hug when they could see it was needed. We as a family will be forever be gratefull for how they made the last 4 weeks of her life so much better. How do you thank them for that.

Argyles Care Home

from Susan D (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum stayed at Argyles for 3 months before she passed peacefully in her sleep. The palliative care was excellent. Management and staff were so helpful, kind and friendly to Mum. Although Mum didn't eat very much, the food choices offered were good and she always enjoyed the puddings! It was nice that
there was no restrictions on visitors as one of her youngest great grandchildren visited every Friday much to Mum's delight. The family celebrated a lovely Mothers Day with Mum in her room and we were very kindly offered lunch with her which was a very nice gesture and lovely food. An occasion which we will always treasure. A shout out must go to the 'tea' lady who always offered us a cup of tea, even if we arrived late to visit Mum. It was very much appreciated. Clearing Mums room after she had passed was hard, but everyone was so kind to myself and my sister, so thank you for making it a litttle easier.
We would definately recommend the home, the care of their residents is excellent.

Hadley Lawns Care Home

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I visit the home once a month, and I'm always hugely impressed with the care and devotion which all members of staff offer to the residents. Everyone has a smile and a joke and an easy, friendly manner. And I notice that the residents respond with a happy demeanour. It's clearly a very well-run establishment.
Well done!

Brookview Care Home

My Mother was a resident at Brookview for a year and a half. She settled in really quickly and found the staff to be warm and sensitive to her needs. The medical care and support provided was able to cope with the number of challenges associated with Mother's later life. If I was in the position of
having to decide on a care home for a parent today, I would not hesitate in choosing Brookview again. Thank you.
