Arbrook House Care Home

from Amanda E (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The Arbrook Team have looked after Dad so well since he arrived 4 years ago and as his dementia worsened. Initially he was able to participate in activities which he enjoyed and the staff have always been kind and patient. Towards the end when Dad really was very unwell he did not have any bed sores
and the team were understanding and gentle. They were also helpful when we applied for funding and very attentive when he was dying. He died at the beginning of December 2025. I would highly recommend Arbrook mainly because of the team which is the most important aspect of care.
Reply from Natasha Burns-Leigh, Customer Service Advisor at Arbrook House Care HomeWe appreciate you taking the time to write this during what must be a very difficult time. It was our pleasure to have cared for your father over the past 4 years. We are proud to have such a compassionate team and we're glad this has shone though in your experience. We are saddened to hear about your loss but we hope you go away from this experience feeling as though your loved one has received the best possible care.

Mount Hall Care Home

from Alison L (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
For my in-laws, being at Mount Hall meant the best of medical attention, excellent food, a beautiful setting in which to live, company and friends, but most of all the attention of and support from a highly professional team of administrators, nurses, carers, housekeepers and maintenance staff, entertainment
coordinators, chefs and kitchen staff. Without the support the home offered, my parents-in-law's final years would not have been filled with so much laughter, fun and contentment. We always enjoyed our visits to Mount Hall, hearing about what had been happening during the week and also connecting with some of the other residents and their family members. The weekly friendly chats with members of staff were uplifting and we will miss visiting - Mount Hall has felt like a second home to us. All interactions with staff have been given with the spirit of human kindness.

My father is happy and feels well looked after at Trowbridge Oaks Care Home.
His medical needs are taken care of without worry on our side, the facilities are good and the staff really look after him well.
He's always satisfied with the food and the entertainment, and activities provided by Beth
thoroughly enjoyed.
He describes all the staff as friends - so shout out to Jordan, Beth, Hannah, Ally, Lindsey, Lesley and everyone else who takes care of him so wonderfully.
Whilst his room and bathroom are on the small side for his needs, I have seen larger rooms and bathrooms in the property which gives me confidence that's all can be catered for.
As a family, we know he is in safe hands and well looked after, which is all we could ask for.

Pendean House Care Home

from R S (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 January 2026

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Mum wasn't at Pendean for long at all as she went there a very late stage with her terminal cancer and dementia but whilst she was there, she was welcomed and extremely well looked after.

Almost as importantly, my sister and I were also attended to very professionally by the staff. They made the

admission process as straightforward as possible, stayed late well over and above in order to resolve an issue with paperwork that was not their responsibility . They also gave us a lot of reassurance and help with our questions ofer processes. . I understand they worked very closely with wonderful nurses from a cancer charity.

Finally, the most important aspect of Pendean for me is that that they were flexible and pragmatic over accommodating my mum at short notice when we were not able to accommodate her any longer where had been originally envisaged and many other places were not able - definitely people 'you can do business with' as well as being
sensitive, patient and supportive.thank you Pendean
