Crossley House Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad went into Crossley on an assessment visit after 2 weeks respite. We were welcomed with friendly, caring people. We were reassured immediately that he would be very happy there. Over the period dad was in there he was very happy, loved the staff, enjoyed most meals especially the porridge. He enjoyed
activities such as bingo, quizzes, singers, events, parties i could go on. We were always welcome on any and every visit. You could tell the staff genuinely liked and cared for him dearly. There was always someone to ask about any changes etc. They all definitely knew about his care. We can honestly say I feel that the staff although professional became our friends through the time Dad spent there. Even at the end they were respectful of dad's and the family's wishes. Ensuring he was well cared for and yes I think I can say it 'loved".

Thankyou to all the staff involved in dad's care we will really miss our visits to Crossley House.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I was particularly impressed when my husband developed a very high temperature. His temperature and blood pressure (very low) were carefully monitored, and when condition became worse, he was quickly rushed to hospital. After his condition was stabilised after 3 days, he returned to Elm Grove to a very
warm and caring welcome - I cannot rate the staff too highly! They are brilliant!

Ardenlea Grove Care Home is extremely well run with pleasant and professional staff. The rooms are large and well furnished. This care home is located close to the center of Solihull with good road connections. Having looked around many local care homes for my wife I am sure I chose the right one.
The care home is clean and well laid out.

My husband, Graham, is a very satisfied resident of Waverly Grange. Despite having very limited mobility his care is excellent, and he get on well with the excellent staff, who are exceptionally patient. Activities are well planned and enjoyed.
I am welcomed when I visit and have supper with Graham

Broad Oak Manor Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum went into Broad Oak Manor back in July 25. The family put her in on Mum's request, as she was no longer able to cope in our family home, living there on her own, so she went into respite.
I can say it was the best thing we did for her, she was completely changed woman, so much happier and she
made friends with other patients and with all of the brilliant staff, who are all so very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately my mum passed away on the 4th Jan. but she enjoyed six happy months in the care home.
Reply from Natasha Burns-Leigh, Customer Service Advisor at Broad Oak Manor Care HomeWe appreciate you taking the time to write this during what must be a very difficult time. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one has been well cared for and looked after. Although the transition into a care home can be difficult sometimes, it's humbling to know how much this period helped you and your family. We are saddened to hear about your loss but we hope you go away from this experience feeling as though your loved one has received the best possible care.

As a family we wished we'd moved my dad to this home earlier than we did. I would recomend this home to anyone that
needed to place there loved one into nursing home. I will recommend this home to my professional colleagues. The staff listen to my family about my dad needs.

Every time I visit my fiancés grandmother at Mount Hall the friendliness, helpfulness, and caring nature of the staff is evident as soon as you walk through the door as you are always greeted warmly by the employees behind the desk. The staff all make such an effort to smile and chat to you when they
pass you in the corridor and form lovely bonds with the visitors and the residents. When I visit my fiancés grandmother she always looks well taken care of with her hair nicely styled and her nails painted beautifully, she always has tea on hand and either a biscuit or a hearty meal too. The staff and carers are so kind to her and they all made such a fuss over her for her recent birthday, even allowing us to have a family gathering in the lounge to celebrate the special occasion.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I find the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Mum is comfortable. warm and in the right environment although personally I find it very difficult. The room is basic and when I saw her last she looked somewhat dishevelled and needing a bit of TLC. It may be her refusing - I do know her! Overall she
looked a sad old lady.
The staff were very attentive and I cannot fault them or the care.
It was a shame to visit in January that no one had opened the card with the flowers sent to her for Christmas.

I know it was a one off and a snowy Sunday, but the paths and road were unsafe and needed clearing for access to the site. Being picky here.

The management and staff made it an easy transition for my uncle to move into the care home. The care he has received since he has been there has been exceptional. The staff are very friendly and caring. The food is well-cooked with a good variety of menu each day. The laundry service is excellent for
the residents' clothes.
The is a variety of activities each day, but find it's mostly suitable for the female residents as there are more in the home than male. The rooms are adequate and have been decorated to a good standard, but are on the small side.

Chilton Meadows Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum was a resident at Chilton Meadows for 2 years until her passing last August, during which time I visited her almost every day. At all times both Mum and we as a family were treated with the utmost respect and love. During her final days we were wrapped up in love and care, thereby making what
was a devastating time more bearable to cope with. Many of the staff have become special friends. Since her passing I have become a volunteer and my visits feel like being welcomed back into a close family. My dad was a resident some 15 years ago and the care was excellent then too, in fact some original staff remain the same from then to today, which says it all! I jave no hesitation in recommending the home to others.

Oak Lodge has been amazing with my dad. The team are amazing, always treating my dad with dignity and respect, my dad has choices in every situation. Catering can be questionable at times but cater for everyone. My only criticism is there could be more interacting activities for the more able like my
dad.

I was charmingly shown round the care home by a member of staff. She took time and trouble. The decor in the public rooms is relaxing and smart. The bedrooms, which are small were slightly smothering and predominantly beige. It was this overall beige of the bedrooms which makes me wonder if I could
live here, particularly if I was losing my faculties.
