Mum and I feel that generally the care is very good. Sometimes there are some communication issues between staff. Call bell is often on the floor despite constant reminders to staff. (A pendant was ordered for mum on 13/8 and has still not appeared.

Review of Beacher Hall Care Home from Colin S (Resident / Service User) published on 11 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I have been a resident here since January 2026. If you need a place for respite, a permanent home, or a comfortable safe environment after an operation then consider Beacher Hall.
It has comfortable accommodation with a large pool of friendly and helpful carers. There is plenty of good food, a lot of it cooked in the Home's kitchens - two three course meals daily, plus breakfast.
If you need physiotherapy, Beacher Hall has an air-conditioned fully equipped gym, with an excellent team of professional and friendly physiotherapists dedicated to getting residents walking unaided where possible.

There are a lot of activities, planned by a highly-motivated team, to keep residents occupied.

Review of Woodend Care Home from Tony C (Respite Resident) published on 10 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
My short stay at Woodend exceeded my expectations, it was my 1st pre-stay meeting with Ruth that confirmed to me that I wanted to stay at Woodend to recover from an operation.
During my short stay, every member of the staff was warm, friendly, and very professional from my arrival until my departure.
The financial management was appalling. From committing to take respite care on 8/7/26, I made calls on 13/7/26, 14/7/26, 20/7/26, 27/7/26 requesting an email confirming agreement. I received this on 28-7-26 as I was undergoing surgery. There was no problem for my admittance on Thurs PM 30/7/26. On Fri 31/7/26 I was asked to complete the agreement. I explained my visual impairment + requested a hard copy to sign. This was not possible. On Mon 3/8/26 I had to ask a visiting friend to read the details on my phone to complete the form for me - using my bank debit card!! This created unnecessary stress at a time when I should be receiving "respite care".

Please contact me if you require any further detail.

Review of Lynton Hall Care Home from A J (Son of Resident) published on 10 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Generally the care and nursing staff have been very good, especially in the last few weeks as my mothers health deteriorates. In the past the food has been poor, recently mum hasn't had much due to her condition. I marked security down as there have been several things that have gone missing in the past, expensive bottles of scent, an antique vase of sentimental value. When the last item was mentioned the management said nothing sentimental value should be brought in. In our opinion this is mums home and sentimental items are important thats why management have been marked down!! Not good!

Review of Staplehurst Manor Care Home from R H (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I was lucky enough to attend the residents summer party (as I was unable to attend their Woodstock event the following week.)

The singer was well chosen and understood her audience well. The activities organiser had gone to great lengths to decorate the lounge and garden room with a tropical beach theme. Residents were enjoying sipping their cocktails/ mocktails whilst singing along or dancing with team members who were all wearing floral garlands. It was lovely to share a fun time and a really good laugh with Dad and other residents, and see residents and staff having such a good time together.

Overall Experience

This is my 12th wk at this care home. I have settled in well & finding my way. We all look forward to the activities & I find them good fun. The young staff are reaoo6 great & work very hard, also all the staff here whoever they are are a pleasure to have around, and have made new friends where would we be if we didn't have the staff to help make our life livable.

Review of Hutton Village Care Home from S O (Husband of Resident) published on 10 September 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

2nd review now that my wife has been a resident for about a month. Am pleased to confirm that my initial thoughts about this care home have proven to be accurate in that it certainly matches its classification as a care home. All of the staff (both caring and supporting roles) met to date (and I think ive met the vast majority if not all of them) are without exception friendly, helpful, efficient and wrt the nurses and carers caring which is really important in a care home. In essence if they can possibly help or resolve an issue they will do their very best to do so.

Moved from Bayford Nursing Home to Newdale Court - more independant living. Have a very pleasant new room & consequently am in a better frame of mind to participate with other residents & the activities staff, especially Athi, Anna, Lyn, Adersh etc. give excellent care.

Review of Heathland Court Care Home from M J (Son of Resident) published on 10 September 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My father always commented upon how friendly and helpful the staff were; he considered them more like friends. He felt very comfortable here, praising the food and cleanliness. And I felt confident that he was being well looked after in a safe and compassionate environment and that medical issues would be quickly picked up by the nurses and regular GP visits.
