Parkside care home offers comfortable nursing and residential care for anyone over 18. Short stay options are also available if you’re in need of recovery or some respite. The home is also able to offer palliative and Parkinson’s care.

The purpose-built home is spacious, bright and airy, with pleasant and well-tended gardens. Being on a leafy street, surrounded by private homes, means the home enjoys a real neighbourhood feel, too.

At Parkside they put a real focus on making the care person-centred, upholding the resident’s dignity, respect and independence. The activity coordinators help make sure there’s plenty of fun things for everyone to do.

All bedrooms have ensuite facilities with a 24-hour call system, many with views of the surrounding gardens.

Parkside prides itself on the balanced and nutritious dishes that are served to residents at mealtimes. The meals, which are freshly prepared every day, are suited to each resident’s individual food preferences and choices.

Helping residents to recover or retain their independence is especially important here. As part of this, residents are encouraged to make friends and to choose interesting things to do – perhaps even learning something a new skill. Weekly clubs also allow residents to get to know each other and remain active and engaged in hobbies that they are passionate about. Residents also have access to an onsite hairdresser and visiting mobile library.

Worried about coming into the home but was delighted. Warm greeting by another resident. Admin lady came to see me with a beautiful warm smile. I am over the moon and delighted to be here. Food is amazing. On day 1, lots of people greeted me. Day 2, I went out on a day trip to feed the birds.

I've been coming to Parkside Care Home to see my mum every other day. The staff are extremely nice and helpful, always happy to assist or answer any questions. Although my mum is not able to comment, I'm sure if she could, she would be happy.

Bupa Parkside Care Home, there is not quite the right words for this home. The care provided from day one has been lovely. Since the day our nan arrived at the home following the loss of her partner has been very caring, to the latter stages of her life when she was in need to extra care and support
Nan took part in many activities within the home; always well thought through by the wonderful activities team. Nan often spoke about the butterfly buddies babies visiting, making various craft pieces and showing off her new nails and hair, even some lovely outings too (the pantomine and garden centres were sure a hit) Oh and we cant forget the visit from the lamas and the guide dogs. The carers were very attentive to the needs of nan; often understanding how she liked things to go The nursing staff were outstanding, providing amazing care for nan from the day she arrived. We cant forget to mention the reception staff, we are always welcomed with a warm one

The care that my dad has received as been out of this world. Thinking back to when he came to the care home we really thought we would not have much time, but thanks to all the staff that have been there for my dad he as picked up. Knowing that he is still every ill there could not be a better place
and would not change where he is. So thank you to all the staff again for looking after my dad.

As usual, the staff of Parkside are very friendly and helpful to make residents and their visitors feel at home and welcome. There is a good range of activities provided, although staff shortages have impacted the scope of these over the last few months. My wife is happy and content as a resident of
over 2 years! The carers are very caring! The nursing care is excellent!
We celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary in July and the staff went out of their way to help us celebrate it in the lounge, which was suitably decorated and a celebration tea provided.

We fell in love with the place as soon as we walked in. We knew our Mum would be happy and well looked after. From reception to all the staff are very friendly and very helpful. We have noticed a difference in her, she seems very relaxed and happy.

On the whole, we are happy with Mum's care in Parkside. Unfortunately, little things let it down.
The garden at this time of year should be ready for residents to use and again it is not. There’s no thought into having different sections to meet residents' needs such as an area of highly perfumed plants
for those who can’t see. Raised beds for those who still like to garden a little.

My husband had 2 weeks of respite care at Parkside. He was well cared for and treated with respect which meant I could have a break without worrying about him. The home manager was very helpful and all the staff welcoming and caring. Would definitely recommend Parkside to anyone looking for a care home.

I am very impressed with Parkside Care Home, my brother has been here for nearly a year and I cannot fault the staff, they are very professional but also very caring, kind and welcoming. The care is excellent and my brother has experienced timely treatments and medication. Nothing is too much trouble
and they have all kinds of activities and events to keep residents occupied.

Our friend moved into Parkside Care Home in March of this year and, after taking a few weeks to settle, has now settled fully and made friends with other residents and staff. The entertainment staff are brilliant and keep us entertained most days with singing, artwork, flower arranging and other activities.
Meals are very nice with a varied menu. I can have my hair cut and styled, and I’m well looked after.

I have been visiting my dad over the last six weeks (from New Zealand). Dad is content, kept clean and well-fed from what I have seen. My brother is his first point of contact/next of kin and is also very satisfied with our dad's care. Also, the staff have been very friendly and courteous.
