Parkside is an excellent and reassuring place for the care of loved ones.

I am very impressed with Parkside Care Home, my brother has been here for nearly a year and I cannot fault the staff, they are very professional but also very caring, kind and welcoming. The care is excellent and my brother has experienced timely treatments and medication. Nothing is too much trouble and they have all kinds of activities and events to keep residents occupied.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like “very caring, kind” and welcoming” as well as "nothing is too much trouble" being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing your brother with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Thank you to all the staff, we appreciate all you do.
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is so well cared for and looked after. Thank you for choosing our Parkside care home.
All carers here are very lovely, polite, understanding, extremely efficient, and very much gentle and caring to my every need physically and emotionally.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Parkside Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible and it is always nice to hear words like “Polite” and “Efficient” being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing you with the best possible care.
Our friend moved into Parkside Care Home in March of this year and, after taking a few weeks to settle, has now settled fully and made friends with other residents and staff. The entertainment staff are brilliant and keep us entertained most days with singing, artwork, flower arranging and other activities. Meals are very nice with a varied menu. I can have my hair cut and styled, and I’m well looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are happy to hear yourself and your friend feel like a part of our Parkside family. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I have been visiting my dad over the last six weeks (from New Zealand). Dad is content, kept clean and well-fed from what I have seen. My brother is his first point of contact/next of kin and is also very satisfied with our dad's care. Also, the staff have been very friendly and courteous.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after and it is always nice to hear words such as “Friendly” and “Courteous” being used to describe the care that we provide. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your dad received the best possible care.
My mother became a resident to Parkside at the beginning of February 2023, hence my review covers a 5-month period to date. Positive observations so far include Mum's room, which is very pleasant, the dining facilities and the general quality of the nursing staff and facility support. Negatives are the cost, although this is a general problem across the entire sector, and the reception is not always gaining access to the home. Also, the garden maintenance is lacking.
Thank you for your feedback. It is always nice for us to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after well in both health and the standards of our facilities. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service.
My brother was admitted to Parkside Care Home from the hospital after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2022. The staff were excellent and caring and the home was beautifully decorated and clean. My brother was bed bound and had to be hoisted out of bed into a chair, as his health deteriorated, and required round-the-clock nursing care. I felt completely confident that his needs were being met and the staff went over and beyond to make him as comfortable as was humanly possible. The manager was professional, approachable and ready to deal with any query. I would recommend this care home as a very pleasant place which makes residents feel completely at home. There were plenty of activities to keep residents occupied if they were able to participate. Visits were always facilitated, even once late in the evening as my brother's condition deteriorated. I genuinely feel that this care home is excellent.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and are pleased to hear you felt completely confident your brother's care needs were being met to a high standard. Thank you for choosing Parkside Care Home.
After extensive research, Parkside respite care seemed to offer the best chance for Dad's recovery. Within a few weeks of Dad's admission, Mum's health deteriorated resulting in her admission to Parkside so they could be together over the festive period.
We were so impressed with the speed of admission and the care given to both of them. All the staff have been amazing from top to bottom. This outstanding care has given them both the best possible start in order to continue their life together.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely comments. We are so pleased to hear how happy you and your family are with the care provided for your parents. Thank you for choosing Parkside Care Home, and if there is anything more we can do to make their stay as comfortable as possible, please don't hesitate to contact us.
All the nurses and care staff could not do enough for her and she soon settled into her new home, and she felt safe there and knew that she was getting the best care possible, and it wasn't long before all the staff knew her by her name.
Whenever we went to visit her, we were always made to feel welcome and the staff were always concerned that we were ok as well as my sister, we were always kept up to date as to how my sister was progressing.
Every part of the building that we visited was always spotlessly clean as was my sister's room, her laundry was collected every day, returned and put away for her.
Once again I would like to thank every single member of staff who looked after my sister.
She sadly passed away on 31st December, knowing that she had been given the very best care possible.
Thank you Parkside for the care that you all gave to my sister.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your sister in our care. We hope Parkside Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible and we are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Parkside family....

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you are pleased with the progress with your Mum's health in our care. Thank you for taking the time to share your review.
My father was always cared for in a loving and caring way - despite his lack of cooperation most of the time. The family were very happy to know that he was safe and cared for at all times.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your father in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make his stay as comfortable as possible.
Would highly recommend to others.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care. Thank you for choosing Parkside for their stay.
My mum was placed here following a spell in hospital. During her time here her health appeared to visibly improve, which I think is down to experiencing improved eating and mental stimulation. The staff are, almost without exception, very helpful and friendly, and the support staff (eg reception) are very efficient and welcoming.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is nice to hear that your Mums health has improved since being with us and that you found our staff to be helpful and friendly. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Mums stay as comfortable as possible.
What an amazing team, my brother who has a learning disability stayed here after taking a fall and being in hospital. The BUPA team helped him get back on his feet and we couldn't have done this without their support. He was looked after so well whether it was food, personal care or a simple hello - they have been exceptional! A particular mention of the manager who is outstanding she is knowledgeable, supportive and great support to us as a family. We couldn't have done it without them! Thank you to each and every one of the team.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, It is lovely to hear that you feel your brother received the best care when he stayed with us and that he was helped to get back on his feet after his stay in hospital. Thank you for choosing Parkside Care Home for your brothers stay.
Very nice care home. Dad has settled in well.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, thank you.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the care my relative is receiving at Parkside. The manager and staff go above and beyond to ensure my relatives' needs are met. Not only are their basic needs met but they are also supported to participate in a good range of meaningful activities and encouraged to socialise with other residents and staff which has led to my relative completely coming out of their shell and really enjoying their time at Parkside. The manager has kept me up to date with any concerns around my relative and was extremely supportive in assisting my relative adapting to a new home. The whole process was smooth and easy and I am fully confident that my relative is in good hands. Thank you to the manager and all of your lovely staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy to hear that you felt well supported through the process and that your relative is starting to feel at home at Parkside. Thank you for your kind words, I will certainly pass your thanks on to the whole team.
PPE was required some days but not on others, absolutely no consistency. They asked for proof of a negative LFT but didn’t actually take time to look at the result.
My grandad wasn’t mobile, they took a long time to react when he pressed his bell.
They would give him breakfast but if it was something he didn’t like they wouldn’t offer an alternative, he just went without.
Visiting after work, in the early evening was a nightmare, sometimes you were left standing outside for up to half an hour.
The level of care for my grandad was poor and the attitude of the majority of the staff was extremely harsh. This is meant to be a place that cares for people. I would never recommend this place to anyone!
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your feedback. We fed back to the manager who was surprised to read your comments as no concerns were raised during your visit, and the home thought you were happy with everything, please contact us so we can discuss this further and have a look into this for you.
Most of the staff at Parkside are very caring and considerate. My mother came into the home from a very difficult stay in hospital and since arriving at Parkside has improved in terms of overall health and well-being. I have been called with any concerns or changes to my mother's condition. The home manager has been very attentive and helpful in answering questions and concerns. The facilities are of a high standard and clean.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you feel your mother's health and well being has improved in our care. Thank you for choosing Parkside.
The staff are very hard working, friendly and helpful. I settled well and feel safe and well cared for.
