Croft House Care Home

My mother has improved in so many ways since moving to Croft House a few months ago. The staff are very kind and extremely well trained. The nurses aren't afraid to tackle any difficulties appropriately and this results in much better outcomes for the residents in their care. The food is made from scratch, varied and really good quality. The restaurant style service a lunch time is something that my Mum really enjoys. It's wonderful to see her improving so much and an enormous relief not to be constantly worried about her care. Thanks to everyone.

The prices have increased in a disproportion to the services provided the food quality has fallen since now providers are being used seems like profit over care.

Mum came to Croft House in July 2025 following serious illness leaving her bed bound. With the help and encouragement of staff she is now able to walk small distances. She is an active participant in the carpet bowls and has enjoyed much of the entertainment visiting the home. She enjoys the food and loves that all the staff will stop for a chat or friendly word. All of the staff go above and beyond and are quite happy to multi task if necessary. From a personal point of view, I am now after quite a few years, able to visit my mum as her daughter and not her carer, cook and general handy person, knowing that she is being taken good care of 24/7.

The only thing that lets it down a little is the limited parking space but even this is managed well and nothing is too much trouble for anyone.

My mother came to Croft House for end of life care after a traumatic 6 weeks in hospital. From then on a cloud lifted from us as family. She was made as comfortable as possible and her pain was managed as well as it was able. Nursing and caring staff were extremely attentive and supportive to us as a family member going through a traumatic event. Our mother was able to pass away in dignity and peace.

Croft House is a small, warm care home. Staff are very focused & retained. Activities are to cover all, and outings are well run & supported. A good facility.

I've been in the care of Croft House as recognition of my needs and have received all required attention.

We feel that we can trust the staff to care for our Mum as if she was their own mother, it is a great comfort to us.

Having visited Croft House 2/3 times a week now for over two years, I feel well qualified to comment on the provision of both the physical & emotional support provided to my elderly Mother during this period. The staff at Croft House are exceptional people, everyone from the admin staff to those providing personal & medical care or logistical support are genuinely invested in their Residents. Croft House does not feel like a commercial enterprise, it is a caring & kind environment which makes Residents feel they're living in a family community. In my experience the staff go the extra mile to ensure everyone in their care feels valued & the wide range of age appropriate activities & experiences ensure that there is always something to look forward to. Occasional trips out are expertly arranged by the entertainments staff for those who wish to take part & every calendar event throughout the year is celebrated with great enthusiasm. I recommend this Care Home & all its staff unreservedly!

Very clean, staff friendly.

Fantastic home and staff, couldn't ask for better care for my nan. The carers are amazing, the nurses are always involved and explain things and one staff member in particular is worth his weight in gold! Nan is now safe and happy, eating well and comfortable, can't thank the staff enough.

This is a very good place. My brother is well care for. He is a lot different person than when he first arrived at Croft. The staff are so friendly and caring.

Food, the staff, other residents and activities are all great. I love to see him content. Hes a very special man and must be looked after.

My mother has been in Croft House since September 2024. It has given the family peace of mind that she is cared for in a lovely home. The staff are excellent and there are lots of activities for my mum to participate in. Food is good with lots of options to choose from. My mum is very happy in Croft House.

Mum has been at Croft House for almost 6 months. The staff and carers have be brilliant, helping mum adjust and settle in. Nothing is too much trouble. Nursing staff are caring and approachable, reassuring that mum is in such good hands. Its such a comfort knowing mum is in the right place, for all her needs. Huge thank you to all the staff.

Mum has been at Croft House Care Home for a couple of years, having found living independently nearly impossible. She hasn't always found the process of living in a care home easy and has at times railed against it, but she has always been treated with such kindness and compassion by the staff. I find it really telling that there has been little turn over in key staff and am hugely impressed in how they go out of their way to help mum, even coming in on days off to take her out or watch TV with her on a Saturday night. Whenever issues have occurred, managers has been very approachable and have worked quickly to resolve what issues they can.

We are still struggling with the food issues and the lack of showering.

An absolutely outstanding care home with staff who always go the extra mile. Christmas is a prime example of entertainment, joy and love shown to all residents. Well managed, fabulous staff. Couldn't look for anywhere nice or more caring.

Since somewhat reluctantly agreeing with family and our mother that a move to a care home was really the only practical course of action as living on her own was becoming more difficult, I can only say that from the initial settling in to now, the transition has been made extremely smooth and thanks to the excellent, attentive and above all compassionate nature of the staff our mother has settled in happily.
