From day one when our family friend was admitted I felt reassured and confident that she was receiving impeccable care. I was kept fully informed of both medical and pastoral care and nothing was too much trouble, in fact, the staff went out of their way to make sure I was kept fully up to date, day or night. It is obvious that communication between all staff is excellent as any staff member that I spoke with was very knowledgeable of situations. Never once did I feel uncomfortable to phone or ask any questions, in fact, I felt valued and respected. I have no hesitation whatsoever in giving the highest recommendation possible from the experience I have had. I send my sincere thanks for making the most difficult time as bearable as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with such positive feedback. It was an absolute pleasure to care for your lovely friend.
The home has been fantastic with a friend of mine providing the care which they need. All of the staff contribute significantly to ensure that the service provision and the home is run as effectively and beneficial for all involved. The management staff are exceptional and do not isolate themselves at all from day to day duties, whilst ensuring that there is a friendly and fun atmosphere involved. I would recommend Croft House to all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind feedback.
I am happy to share my views that Croft House has been an excellent, caring and happy home for my mother for around 17 months now. From the moment she went into her room the staff have been very friendly and caring and like a family for her. Whatever the request the staff always make a big effort to oblige and the activities, such as craft afternoons, games, singing around the piano or faith services have kept her happy. The food is of good quality, with options and individual tastes taken into account. I cannot praise Croft House enough and thank them for making my mother happy and safe, thus relieving my mind as well as hers.
Thank you for trusting us with your mothers care. It is very kind of you to take the time to leave such lovely comments.
Mum is very well looked after by the extremely kind and caring Care staff. She really does feel secure there. Nursing staff are extremely efficient and professional. The carers are so kind. It is hugely important to have a level of trust between staff, residents and their family. I feel that this has really moved forwards at Croft, as our family likes to work with staff as a team.
I must mention the restaurant staff and restaurant manager; they are so upbeat, friendly and so smartly dressed! The restaurant manager goes above and beyond in so many ways- well beyond typical 'restaurant' duties!!
Staff have 'facetimed' me twice since lockdown. Many thanks to the Deputy Manager and to the Carer who facilitated this.
It is a trying time for everyone, so we really appreciate your feedback and support under these circumstances. Thank you.
My best friend has been at Croft House since September 2019. He is receiving amazing care at Croft House. The home is very well managed, and the staff are amazing, always going above and beyond. I would definitely recommend this home to others.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
House-keeping poor - beds sometimes not made until afternoon.
Communal areas not welcoming and often used for staff meetings.
Our resident’s health and well being is an absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
Great care home, fabulous staff, home well managed. Highly recommend this home, my friend receives fabulous, top quality care.
Have only good views about Croft House. If anything is raised they always respond to it.
Thank you for your praise. We are glad to hear any of your concerns can be dealt with effectively.
My father was made very welcome from day one. The staff really go out of their way to accommodate your needs.
We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your father in our care, thank you for the lovely feedback.
Original care and room that was 'sold' to us are not what is being received. Numerous requests for outside assistance i.e. optician, dentist and hearing aid, has been left for us to chase a month later. The value for money is not as was described. My mother is unhappy with the food being served to her and upon viewing I tend to agree. The care/medical is satisfactory but the 'extras' that were part of the attraction to this facility seem to be failing at this time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
The staff are so caring and go out of their way to meet his needs (he is very vulnerable). Everyone is treated with dignity and a very caring attitude!
We were at a different home and had to move as it was not suitable, but Croft House suppresses all expectations.
Thank you for your kind words, we are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the care your husband receives.
My husband passed away peacefully - I was too late - the care by the nurse 100%. After a stay of 9 months, he went. I cannot express my gratitude enough. The home is a really caring environment. My husband was often in distress and quite angry at times. He was treated with dignity, respect and love. I was at the home every day but 2 for 9 months. I was always made to feel welcome. I miss the visits.
Please accept our most sincere condolences on your loss. It is lovely to hear how happy you were with your husband's care. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to review the home, and please, feel welcome to visit any time if it is something you would like to do. Best wishes.
I came for one-week respite care after an operation. I benefitted from the rest and attention and noticed that all staff were respectful, caring and attentive with residents, especially the less able. The housekeeping and laundry service were extremely good. The only niggle is the cost.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
The care my mother had at Croft House was not good. She ended up in the hospital because the care was not up to standard. They were short-staffed which should not be the case for private. I would not recommend this care home. It has caused us all distress and it cost us a lot of money. Extremely disappointed.
We are concerned to hear this. Could you please contact our Feedback Team by emailing feedback@bupa.com or calling 0113 381 6293 so we could discuss this further?
Staff are kind, friendly and helpful.
Very happy to recommend.
Thank you for your kind words, J G M.
2. The person responsible for in-house activities has been off work for almost 2 months which has left a void in this field. Some form of back up is necessary to maintain a good activities programme.
Thank you for your feedback. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s Manager to help us continually improve our service.
I would add that when these things have been pointed out to management they have done their best to solve things.
Thank you for your review, Joyce. We are happy to hear you concerns have been addressed and hopefully you friend receives the best possible care with us.
A resident for 3 yrs following a stroke. Adjusting to care in a residential setting has been emotionally difficult. Unable to access activities without staff initiating support. Staffing levels minimal so unable to leave room or bed regularly. Socially isolated - no activities for bed-bound residents offered. Special diet required - no planning or thought to provide interest - Food from the catering staff for special diets.
Thank you for your feedback. Our resident’s health and well being is an absolute priority. We will discuss your feedback with the home’s manager to help us continually improve our service.
2. Staff would benefit from training in social skills, as some of their responses in conversation provokes confrontation and upset.

The staff are all very kind.
Mum particularly enjoyed the Theatre trip and race night.
The window doesn't open very much and it can be very hot in the room, does have a fan which we provided.
