The Goldbridge is a purpose-built care home that occupies an idyllic position overlooking Beech Hurst Gardens.

The home provides tailored support for a range of care needs, including dementia care in safe and comfortable surroundings.

With superior standards of design, build and interior finish, everything at The Goldbridge has been made with residents in mind. From the wide and spacious corridors and communal spaces to the wheelchair accessible lifts and open doorways.

Each of the 64 luxurious and comfortable en suite bedrooms features an accessible wet room, flat-screen TV and 24-hour nurse call system. Many have direct access to the landscaped gardens or balconies, and with options for single and twin bedrooms, and are able to cater for both individuals and spouses.

In addition to fantastic surroundings and delicious menus, it’s the people who make The Goldbridge such a reassuring and inspiring home.

My grandmother has been well looked after since she moved into the home. Staff have been careing and meeting her needs. On her 99th birthday recently they facilitated family visiting for party and provided birthday cake etc. Made her birthday a wonderful time for her and us.

It was my mother's 99 birthday and the home arranged tea and cake for my sister and other relatives. It was well received. My mother really enjoyed her birthday tea!

A joint birthday party here on 7th May was excellent. The male singer was here singing all the old favourite. Ballons and banners up and birthday came out. A good time had by all - including relative. Goldbridge know how to entertain. Well done to all.

I have visited before and each time have found everyone really friendly and helpful and welcoming. I have had lunch - sandwiches, crisps, pot of tea and cake - all delicious and nicely served. I have no experience of activities but my sister seems to be happy here. I wish that she would be 'encouraged'
more to strengthen her legs and walk.

My aunt and uncle were visiting. Yet again the team at the Goldbridge provided a lovely sandwich lunch and a beautiful, very tasty cake for our family. Just this small thing makes it so much easier for us to spend quality time with Mum. There was lots of laughter and we were asked what we were celebrating?
The answer was the opportunity to spend time together, chat, laugh and share memories . No excuse needed for a nice lunch!

Job Title: Chef Manager Joined: 2018

I have worked at The Goldbridge since it opened in 2018. I initially joined as a deputy chef and later became the chef manager. Prior to that, I had worked for The Disabilities Trust.


I love to see the residents and staff enjoying the food that we have cooked.


Outside of work, I live with my husband and two of my three grown-up children. I love to travel and Southeast Asia is top of my list. I’ve been to Thailand many times as well as Laos, Cambodia and Bali. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year.
