My mother-in-law has been living at The Goldbridge for the past 19 months and I can honestly say we have not had one complaint. The staff not only look after residents like family, but they also care about us (the family) too! As time has gone, my mum-in-law's needs have changed and the nurses/carers are always one step ahead to make sure she is comfortable. The office staff are just as fabulous! Recently we requested to change room and not only did they go out of their way to accommodate us, as there was no spare room available, on the day of the move everyone without exception got involved to move everything across quickly and effortlessly. The manager is always present and hands-on within the home and still finds time to check on residents and family too. From one who was nervous of 'care homes’ I can honestly say we found ‘the best’. Thank you to you all. Your compassion is inspiring!

My mum was admitted to The Goldbridge Care Home for palliative care. The whole team were wonderful from the start. The home manager was so kind and caring during a very upsetting and challenging time for all. Her guidance and kindness gave me and my family reassurance. The whole team were amazing and supported Mum with care and dignity. I was treated with kindness and care and fully updated on care and meds. Her room was homely and so clean and welcoming. We were encouraged to bring in personal items and furniture which helped Mum feel better. Special thanks to the nursing team who cared for Mum with such attention and respect. Also special thanks to a member of staff and the housekeeping team who were so kind in keeping Mum's room so clean. Thanks to the catering team for supporting Mum with any special meal requests. Her time here gave her peace and dignity, which is something I will be forever grateful for.

When it was clear my husband needed to leave hospital but would need too much care to return home, we had to find and decide on a nursing home very quickly. As soon as we arrived at the car park, we felt this would be a suitable place. From the first moment we entered the building we felt we were in a welcoming place with caring staff. Sadly, the day before he was transferred from hospital, the doctors advised no further intervention was suitable and he would just receive comfort care. The hospital and nursing home worked together to make the transfer happen so he would not die in hospital. His room provided the perfect tranquillity for close family to spend quality time with him before he passed away peacefully the following day. All the nursing staff were so kind to him and to us and gave the support we needed. The management staff handled all necessary formalities with the utmost care and efficiency.

My father came into The Goldbridge for palliative care. From the moment I walked into The Goldbridge I knew it was the right place. I can honestly say I cannot find a single thing to fault the home. His care throughout his stay there was exemplary. The medical care headed by the home manager was superb and at all times, my father was treated not only with dignity and compassion but with remarkable kindness; they took the time to understand him and made him laugh and despite his somewhat eccentric demands we felt he was loved and treated with respect and we would like to thank all the medical team for all they did for him. This included his last 48 hours which were, I can only say special at such a difficult time. However it is not only the medical staff who go out of their way; everyone from the catering to the cleaning and general care staff are lovely, and attentive at all times however demanding the patient can be at times. I think it is a very special place.

My father was admitted to The Goldbridge in 2023. He has advanced dementia. He had previously been a resident in 3 residential homes.

I can not recommend The Goldbridge highly enough. The focus on engaging residents in activities is exemplary. There are also many different rooms for residents to relax - music room, cinema room, and sitting room. For families, there is a private room that can be booked for meals with residents.

Unfortunately due to my father's challenging behaviours, we had to move him to another care home more able to deal with his behaviour. However, that doesn't detract from my recommendation. I have visited 15-20 homes in the past 2-3 years and this stands at the top of the tree.

I forgot to mention the staffing. From the manager through to nurses and carers, staff are extremely caring and have genuine time for residents. Particular call-out to the manager - leading a great team whilst also being "hands-on" too.

Mum has stayed a few times at The Goldbridge which gives her a sense of security and familiarity even with her Dementia. The rooms are modern in style with en-suite facilities and a TV for personal use.

The staff are generally good in their care of the residents, mum doesn’t like to be alone so she is always out of her room in the lounge or taking part in the activities as she likes to keep busy. Mum always seems to enjoy her stays and comes home a lot more engaged.

One never knows what the quality a care home provides when someone close has to become a resident on the advice of a hospice.
There is little time to assess but the initial assessment gave me optimism.
My wife was admitted following a diagnosis of an incurable brain tumour after a brief period at home.
The tumour meant that increasingly she behaved as a dementia patient with erratic behaviours to go with her illness. She was unable to see and her hearing became increasingly impaired. As a consequence, she was deprived of significant external stimulus.
As a consequence, she was frequently very distressed and her default was to wish to return home. This resulted in her spending lengthy periods walking the corridors and towards the end gave rise to real concerns about her safety.
At the beginning of her time in the home she retained her social abilities and her humour but as the illness progressed she became increasingly difficult to manage.
Throughout she was treated by all who had contact with her with real care, concern, patience, affection, and dignity.
At the end, she had need for further medication and the whole team from the manager to nursing staff were determined to ensure that her final days were both pain-free and calm.

The manager appointed in mid-August was a breath of fresh air. She displayed not only professionalism and a drive to improve the home but displayed a determination to ensure that my wife got the best possible care but was also sympathetic to and supportive of both myself and our daughters.

Excellent and caring staff, did a good job for my sister-in-law whilst she was in The Goldbridge Care Home. Very friendly and supportive to my sister-in-law and my family too. Nurses and carers, plus catering/housekeepers, really made an effort. Some really dedicated members of staff here!

My mother stayed at The Goldbridge for 10 months. Her care needs increased significantly over her time in the home, and the staff went over and above our expectations with regards to her needs. All the staff, from the manager, care staff, nursing staff, catering and housekeeping staff were kind, caring and empathetic to my mother's needs, and also to the needs of us as her family. We were kept informed of changes throughout her care, and are immensely grateful for their care of her especially in her final days.

Following a speedy, sensitively done and professional assessment, Mum was admitted to The Goldbridge Care Home. I have nothing but praise for the home. The manager has been great, as have the staff. The nursing and care staff are excellent. Management within the home has little or no authority to deal with major issues. I have never met or spoken to any middle or senior management since my wife's arrival in June 2022. The care teams are always under pressure and often short on numbers, leading to less time spent with the residents. Six care staff per thirty residents is insufficient - informed this number/ratio is compliant, which actually means satisfying and minimum standard. In what is, as Bupa sees it, one of their flagship homes is quite disturbing and unacceptable, especially with the costs.

I have a lovely room, with lots of space. The carers cannot be faulted, but they are often unable to help as they want to, there are not enough of them.
Midmorning and midafternoon drinks aren't always available.

I have great faith that the new management team will make a big difference once it is well established.

My father spent his last ten days at The Godlbridge. For the most part, we were very happy about the care given to him, particularly during his final few days. My mother moved to The Goldbridge in March and the care and support she is receiving is first class. All the staff are excellent and constantly demonstrate a desire to care and support the residents. The home is clean, tidy and very well maintained and Mum has settled in really well - thank you to the staff for making a very difficult time leaving a home of 40 years so much easier. Special mention for the activities programme which is very varied and provides so many opportunities for the residents to have fun, interact and enjoy themselves. The setting is excellent with lovely gardens and a park right next door. Would recommend it without hesitation.

My mother-in-law has been at The Goldbridge for nearly five months now. She is loving it here and likes the food. She is telling me they can't stop filling me up with drinks, which is a very good thing as they keep her hydrated. The staff are friendly, nothing is too much for them to do. Always helpful, from moving into the Goldbridge, up until today she has improved her mental health. Her appetite is very good. I am pleased that we have her at The Goldbridge
