The Goldbridge is a purpose-built care home that occupies an idyllic position overlooking Beech Hurst Gardens.

Having experienced other care homes in the area our impressions of The Goldbridge were of a much better quality care home when we moved our mum there.
Spotlessly clean, lovely staff and excellent communication. They kept a log/journal of our mother's daily care which was highly detailed and allowed
us to monitor mum's care and be confident that she was receiving the right treatment.
It is a beautiful home, modern with a flexible attitude, quiet and well managed. We would like to thank all the staff for their help and assistance and would highly recommend this establishment.

My mother moved into The Goldbridge before Christmas. She has been made to feel very welcome and the staff excel in making it feel like home. The care she receives is amazing. The level of care given to my father during his stay of approximately three months was of the highest standard. This extended to looking after my elderly mother during her visits. The fact that The Goldbridge offers residential and nursing care through to the end of life was very important in our choice
of home. As to the property itself, it is a purpose built new care home and the quality of fixtures and finishes would be commensurate with a good quality hotel.

I have found the home to have a professional management team who also have a hands-on approach to their involvement in day to day care. The nurses, carers, catering and activities staff are kind, caring and attentive.
My mother has changed to this home after a long period in another home. She is shortly
to be 100 years old and I feel very fortunate that she is now living in The Goldbridge Care Home.

The Goldbridge Care Home offered my mum a comfortable, modern, clean well equipped home for her palliative care. However, what stood out above all were the staff members. The thoughtfulness, support, warmth and professional care they showed not only for my mum but for us as a family, helped us immensely

My father was a resident at the Goldbridge since it opened in April. He sadly died in July but the staff made those 3 months very special for him and us. Of particular note was the incredibly humane and dignified care he was given as his health deteriorated. It was humbling for myself and my siblings
to see how much his well being meant to the staff there. A huge thank you to you all!

Received very good welcome and birthday greetings. Standard of food during first 2 days was very poor, improving somewhat later during stay but still needs more improvement. Porridge was not available on time on Sunday morning as I was advised the chef had arrived late.
Suggest that residents are
asked what they would like to see on the menu.
Carers had staff meetings and ate food in front of residents which did not look professional.
Suggest carers could take out some residents in wheelchairs e.g. visits to Beech Hurst Gardens.
No duty manager available on Sunday to 'check out'. Had to make subsequent visit to settle the account.
No management staff appeared to be available in the evenings.

The Goldbridge Care Home is a new and airy building with plenty of room. It has a number of lounges and a nice dining room. My mother's room is cosy and has a large wetroom. The staff go about their work with good humour and treat my mother with due dignity. Any problems have been dealt with and we
have been informed. My mother is content and well looked after and we are pleased with the service provided.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

Hello, my name is Jacqualine and I am the home manager at The Goldbridge.


I qualified as a nurse in 1992 and have enjoyed a diverse career. Over the years I have specialised in accident and emergency care in some of London’s largest hospitals, worked in Harley Street as a cardiac matron and practice nurse, and spent six transformative years in post-war Kosovo, where I dedicated my efforts to establishing shelters for vulnerable children.


In 2018, I transitioned to focus on dementia care, first as a dementia care manager and then as a deputy manager at a newly constructed nursing home. It was there that I discovered my true calling in this field and was subsequently instrumental in turning around three nursing homes that previously required improvement, gaining invaluable insights and expertise throughout the process.


I joined The Goldbridge in 2024 and with the support of my wonderful team, I am committed to providing the very best care to all of our residents.

Job Title: Chef Manager Joined: 2018

I have worked at The Goldbridge since it opened in 2018. I initially joined as a deputy chef and later became the chef manager. Prior to that, I had worked for The Disabilities Trust.


I love to see the residents and staff enjoying the food that we have cooked.


Outside of work, I live with my husband and two of my three grown-up children. I love to travel and Southeast Asia is top of my list. I’ve been to Thailand many times as well as Laos, Cambodia and Bali. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year.
