My opinion of my living here is generally satisfactory - it is age that I find a nuisance! Meals get rather boring: all the staff can provide a bit of humour except night staff (just one or two who are sometimes a little brusqite) I cant complain!
Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly pass your comments about the night staff and food on to the management team as we strive to provide the best possible standards in our home.
All staff at The Goldbirdge caring and approachable and understanding. Good residents and relatives meeting today run by the experience manager. Great opportunity to receive feedback from managment on issues raised by relatives. Great shame home manager and regional director not there!
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you found the meeting to be helpful and informative. We will certainly pass your comments on to the management team.

Lovely light hearted time. Nice inclusion of everyone. Dad sung along and enjoyed his time.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that your Dad enjoyed the Elvis singer. We aim to provide a variety of entertainment that everyone can get involved with and enjoy. Please let us know if there is anything else you think your Dad would like to see on our lifestyle and wellbeing schedule.
Excellent care home more like a hotel. My aunt is cared for nothing is to much trouble. The staff are very warm. Kind and patient. Spotlessly clean.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your lovely comments. We are pleased to hear that you are impressed with the high standards of care provided and the clean environment at The Goldbridge Care Home. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
Their thoughts have worked out well, as I am flawed with my stay here, in fact, contented sums up my overall feeling. The staff and management seem to look over and I believe a lot goes into the activities to ensure the residents are well looked after.
Whilst my medical condition is life-changing, I am very well looked after. Thank you Goldbridge.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are pleased to have been able to help you at such a difficult time- it's great to hear that you feel contented staying at The Goldbridge care home. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything else that you need.
The care team (including the experience manager) have made my brother's time in The Goldbridge as positive as it could be. They show compassionate care to him and treat him with dignity at all times. They never forget that, despite his Alzheimer's, he is a human being with the potential for feeling content or not content. His other sister and niece (all three of us are attornies) are so grateful to The Goldbridge.
Thank you for leaving this lovely review. We are so pleased to hear that the staff at The Goldbridge have made you and your loved one feel at ease. Providing kind and attentive care is in the heart of everything we do, so it's lovely to hear your feedback. We hope to continue providing your brother with the best possible care.
We are very pleased with the caring my mother is getting. She is very disturbed at the moment and needs lots of attention at the moment.
Thank you for your review. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mother in our care. We're committed to making every day as positive and comfortable as possible for your loved one.
Such warm, friendly and welcoming staff always. Individual care provided and the staff really get to know residents. A clean, homely and welcoming environment with individual touches such as balloons and banners for residents' birthdays! Thank you!

Lovely staff, always happy to help and assist with any requirements. Nan is very happy, feels safe and looked after, which is all we want. The activities, parties and celebrations put on by the home are outstanding. The children love coming here to visit. That says a lot about the staff, the home is always clean, tidy and welcoming.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Loved one in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Nan's stay as comfortable as possible.
Care staff understanding, helpful and treated with dignity. Nursing staff excellent, well-versed in each individual's medical needs. Despite being consistently in demand and under pressure all staff work hard to meet residents' needs and wishes. Food good but with some strange combinations, attention needed to food temperature when served. Activities staff provide reasonable range of activities. Thoughtful and mindful of individual's capabilities. A reasonably 'happy' comfortable environment where all members of staff work toward the benefit of the residents.

Words that spring to mind about Goldbridge: friendly, peaceful, welcoming, organised, open.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is always nice to hear words like Friendly, Peaceful and Welcoming to describe The Goldbridge Care Home.
The home has a very pretty garden with lots of plants, seating and fairy lights. Residents are encouraged to use the outdoor space. It is a lovely place for residents to socialise.
The activities team are absolutely fantastic. They arrange many different activities and events to cater for a wide range of people with different interests. Where possible residents are given the opportunity to continue with their hobbies e.g. playing the keyboard, knitting, quizzes, gardening, bingo, painting etc.
Based on our experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Goldbridge Care Home.
Thank you for your kind words. We are pleased to hear that your Mother is happy at The Goldbridge Care Home and it is wonderful to hear that your Mother had such a brilliant time on her Birthday. We are glad to hear that you are impressed with the range of fun activities provided, facilities and...
My uncle received the most wonderful palliative care at The Goldbridge. The nursing team kept me fully informed of his care plan and the family are all very grateful to the team, from nurses and carers to admin and management. I don't think I could have chosen a more lovely environment for his final months.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your Uncle received the best possible care at The Goldbridge Care Home.
My mother entered the home after being discharged from hospital for end of life care (four different cancers and a cracked femur) early in the year. For the short time she was there before passing away three weeks later, we witnessed significant failings in her care, in particular pain management. This did not just include my wife and I, but also relatives and friends visiting on different occasions. I had to personally intervene on two occasions to request hospice staff to visit her which resulted in basic medical interventions to her care. I have since asked the home for feedback on how many times their GP as the primary carer visited my mother and what interventions if any they prescribed. This was nearly 9 months ago and I have still not received an answer to my questions. My advice to anyone who has a dear one needing end of life care is to make every effort you can to admit them to a hospice where they can receive the proper palliative care they deserve.
We are very sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with our home. The health and wellbeing of our residents is an absolute priority for us. Whilst we can't discuss specific cases or personal details here, our new care home manager would very much welcome the opportunity to look into this for you. You...
From start to finish, the respite care my mother received was great. The staff were fantastic, particularly the manager.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for choosing The Goldbridge for Mum's stay.
Our mother was recently diagnosed with early dementia and we were very happy to find Goldbridge for her. She was initially reluctant to go but the staff were so caring, understanding and lovely that she very quickly settled happily into life at Goldbridge. We are so impressed with the personal touches which are so special. On her birthday, staff sang Happy Birthday to her (she joined enthusiastically in with the singing!) and had a cake for her with candles. A beautiful touch. She is really happy, feels very cared for and part of the community. The rooms are lovely, and when we come and visit with great-grandchildren there are beautiful sitting rooms dotted around with lots of room where she can receive us. Family, dogs and children are very welcome which is lovely! Excellent in every way.
Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review for the staff at The Goldbridge Care Home. We are thrilled to hear you are so impressed with the personal touches such as the birthday celebrations! We are so happy to hear that your mother has settled in so well at the home and feels part of the community. We hope your mother continues to enjoy her stay!
I was really impressed with the care and attention paid to my friend when she needed help. She was not made to feel bad and was treated with dignity. Also had a good experience with the reception team when I lost a lens from my glasses. They helped me to find the lens without making me feel stupid and they displayed real concern.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like "really impressed with the care and attention" being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
We moved my mum to Sussex after 77 years in York which required a great deal of adjustment and patience from all involved. It became a trying experience for us all and there is no doubt that it was the experience and professionalism of the manager and her team that was the key to getting us to the other side. So happy to say that this past month my mum has been a woman reborn and is now exceeding her abilities from even before she was in care. We are so grateful and so glad that we chose Goldbridge.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult transition. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.

Meet the Team (1)

I have worked at The Goldbridge since it opened in 2018. I initially joined as a deputy chef and later became the chef manager. Prior to that, I had worked for The Disabilities Trust.
I love to see the residents and staff enjoying the food that we have cooked.
Outside of work, I live with my husband and two of my three grown-up children. I love to travel and Southeast Asia is top of my list. I’ve been to Thailand many times as well as Laos, Cambodia and Bali. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year.
