Care homes are all about the resident being happy! Mum is very happy at Bupa Hatfield Peverel!
As her son who deals with finances and administration of mums care, I find Bupa Hatfield Peverel very easy to deal with and efficient in dealing with any issues.
Our experience at Bupa HP exceeds our experience at other homes that mum has stayed in.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. Providing peace of mind for families is one of our top priorities, so your words mean a lot. We want our home to feel like a community, and it's wonderful to hear that you feel a part of it. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything more we can do.
I have found the staff in all departments to be helpful and friendly with a very caring attitude.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that you have found our staff across all departments to be so helpful, friendly and caring. Providing a warm, supportive environment is incredibly important to us, and it is wonderful to know that this has made a positive impression. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Our mum has mixed Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and has been in respite care at Hatfield Peverel Care Home for the past three weeks. She has a lovely room with views over the gardens, she has enjoyed all the lovely activities and her meals. She was very nervous of being in respite care but has seemed happy and relaxed throughout her stay. All the staff have been absolutely wonderful and we felt confident that our mum would be happy and safe during her stay here. My sister and I visited many care homes in the area before settling on Hatfield Peverel Care Home which was by far the best. The rooms were all lovely but the main selling point was the staff! They are all wonderfully caring and friendly and nothing seemed to be too much bother. We were always able to speak to someone if we were at all worried which was very comforting.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy that your Mum settled in well during her respite stay and felt well cared for by our staff. Thank you again for choosing Hatfield Peverel.
My mother went to Hatfield Peverel Lodge Care Home on 2/2/26 and sadly passed away peacefully on 12/4/26. At all times, the management and all staff were caring and helpful to both mum and me. They cared for mum with dignity right to the end. Her last day was so peaceful. I'd like to thank everyone at Hatfield Peverel for their total empathy and care for Mum in her last days.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review. We are sorry for your loss but are glad we were able to be there to support both you and your Mum through this difficult time.
From the very beginning, the staff have shown kindness, patience, and professionalism during what has been a very difficult and distressing time for our family. My mother has advanced dementia and complex needs, and the team have consistently treated her with dignity, compassion, and respect.
The staff are calm, attentive, and highly skilled in managing challenging situations. They have communicated clearly and regularly with me and are willing to listen and respond thoughtfully to my concerns about Mum. It is clear that they care about the residents as individuals, get to know them and are aware of their needs.
When my mother's issues escalated, the care home acted promptly, involving specialist services and ensuring she received the support she required. This gave me great confidence that her safety and well-being were their priority at all times. Thank you for giving me peace of mind.
We appreciate you sharing your experience with our home. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and providing peace of mind for families is one of our top priorities, so your words mean a lot. It is so wonderful to hear that your Mother is looked after, cared for and...
My Father had dementia and was a resident for just 3 months (Oct 2025-Jan 2026) and you couldn't have asked for a more caring bunch of people to care for him ( and us) From the cleaning staff up to the Admin ( Tracey) & Manager (Anish) and every single person in-between. A very special mention to the Nurse Clavel who was a rock throughout. - Thank you everyone, you've all been so kind. You are all ambassadors to your profession.
BUPA you should be very proud of these staff!

My brother cannot be in a better place - he is well looked after and all the staff are friendly and kind.. This review is to say 'Thank you' to you all. He had a birthday recently, and the lovely chef made him a delicious birthday cake. His room door was decorated with birthday banners and balloons. Thank you all for everything you do for him, and for all the residents to brighten up each day. Well done!

We are proud to have such a compassionate team and we're glad this has shone though in your experience. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
Mum has been here a few years now and has received very good care. The staff are lovely and caring and always listen and help when I need to speak to them. There is always a nurse around when you need to speak to one who will listen to your concerns and address them. The food mum receives is always nicely presented and fresh. The staff give me peace of mind with mum being here as I feel happy knowing she has some great people looking after her.

My Mum peacefully passed away recently and her care throughout her stay and in her final days was wonderful. The care staff are incredibly kind and patient and she was so relaxed and content right up until the end. I have experience of four other care homes and Hatfield Peveral Care Home is by far the best I have seen in every way. Anyone who is considering the option of residential care, I cannot recommend it enough. Thank you so much.

I found the overall care for my mother was very good, in particular the nursing, carers, hairdresser and the activities manager. I also found the office, management, housekeeping, and maintenance staff very helpful and always willing to listen to any of our concerns. Mum was treated with much respect and kindness, especially towards the end of her life as her needs changed.

My mother was a resident for just under 2 years before she died at the care home on 15th March. She received excellent care whilst at the home, and I feel the staff went the extra mile to make her stay a happy one. She looked forward to her weekly hairdressing appointment and saw the hairdresser as her friend. The entertainment manager was amazing, as were the carers and nurses. At the end of Mum's life, they were a great support to us too.
Thank you for your kind words. We are saddened to hear about your loss and we are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. My sister was a resident at Hatfield Pevrel Care Home until her recent passing. The care she received was amazing. From her care to the food, the people were the kindest and most caring and made sure she had everything she needed. I can honestly say they were like an extended family. The rooms were clean and tidy and my sister was always happy and laughing with the carers. Her hair was washed and cut regularly and nails painted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the care home. Five stars.

He was admitted in mid-August and I cannot fault the attention, friendliness and professionalisation of all staff members in all roles and capacities.
To add to this, a long-standing medical issue that had been troubling him for weeks was treated and addressed exhibiting a pleasing improvement within his first week.

Since I came into the home in March 2024 I have been treated very well by all the staff and carers. All the staff here are very attentive to my needs and are also respectful of my privacy. All of my family and friends who have visited me say that the staff are very friendly too. The food is also very good and there is always a great choice, so I am never hungry. The activities are very good there is a good mix of singers and we also have fitness sessions and a lady who comes in to dance as well as bingo and all kinds of crafts.

I think the care home in Hatfield Peverel is a very happy environment for residents. The staff are so very pleasant. They go above and beyond helping the residents. My aunt has dementia and can be difficult at times but they. Always appeared to be very caring. Lovely residents too, a lovely family home. Lovely food too.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
I have spent time here between operations an following the third operation on my leg and hip. The atmosphere in the home is kind and encouraging with very few exceptions. The caring/nursing and all staff are kind and helpful to speedy recovery. The food is well prepared and varied and gives a variety of choices and help for dietary problems. I have recovered much more quickly than would have been the case in hospital or alone at home. Trouble is taken to make visitors and family very welcome and any problems are listened to and attempted to be dealt with. I can recommend the home to others. The variety of entertainment makes for a sociable atmosphere.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are really pleased to hear you are highly satisfied with everything from the attention to detail in our care, the dietary adaptations, the sociable atmosphere and the listening ear provided by management. We wish you a speedy recovery and thank you for choosing Hatfield Peverel care home.
All the staff here are extremely caring and, although we turn up at the home at different times, they are always welcoming, happy and willing to answer any questions we have. There are always enough carers around to help with all the residents' needs which do vary between individuals.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your loved one in our care, and feel both yourselves and your relative are fully supported. Thank you for choosing Hatfield Peverel for their stay.
