Set in nine acres of grounds, the home offers a warm welcome to anyone in need of nursing, residential and dementia care. Short stays are also offered to help both carers and their elderly loved ones at times when they need a break or a little extra support. It could be that you’re going away and you want peace of mind that you’re loved one won’t be on their own, or they might need to recuperate after an operation or illness. Whatever the reason, their doors are open. Advanced bookings available.

The home has a dedicated dementia-friendly house, known as Mallard, where residents are supported by dementia champions. The home’s interior has been decorated to suit individuals with dementia, being colour-themed and including memory triggers.

Hatfield Peverel is a lively and welcoming care home at the heart of your local community. The dedicated care team plan a varied programme of activities and social gatherings, which you’re welcome to take part in. From flower arranging, baking clubs, tea dances to regional events such as summer fetes and remembrance celebration events, there is always something going on.

Great attention is placed on the food menu to make sure it is both enjoyable and nutritious, made by an experienced chef using fresh produce, while there are snacks and drinks available throughout the day and night. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at Hatfield Peverel, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.

I have been so impressed with all aspects of the care home since Dad moved in at the start of October. The staff are absolutely superb, and Dad is looked after to such a high standard. I cannot thank the whole team enough. I would have no hesitation recommending Hatfield Peverl to anyone who is looking
for a care home facility in the area.

Caring staff who work hard to make the experience a homely and friendly environment. The management is experienced and runs the home efficiently and the food has improved over the last month. The rooms are a little restricted and be better with shower facilities.

My mother became a resident due to needing 24-hour care (end of life).
During her short stay, all staff I encountered were caring, professional and welcoming. I was kept fully informed. The home has a lovely calm ambience which I believe made mother's last days peaceful.

After my stepfather received a diagnosis which would end his life. I was delighted to find him a bed at The Lodge my mother had resided there prior to her death and the staff were welcoming, professional and caring. I couldn't have asked fir more for my stepfather - he passed away with a short time
after arriving but he was happy and comfortable.

My mum went into this care home for 10 days. She did have dementia and nursing needs but she could speak fluently and cooperate effectively to the point you would not think she had dementia. The Mallard Dementia Building I thought was extremely depressing and with no feeling of comfort there. It was
extremely disorganised with residents walking around shouting out and upsetting others. There didn't seem much interaction between the staff and residents. Unfortunately, my mum was taken into hospital 10 days after being there and passed away, but should this not have happened I would have been seeking to look at other homes.

Always a friendly welcome at reception. Staff are helpful and are interested in any conversation I have with them. The atmosphere in the home is a happy one. Any concerns that I have are addressed promptly.

The team were professional, caring, empathetic and always on hand to offer support and guidance. I was amazed at how attentive they were and how caring towards my father. They made him feel at home and welcomed me each time, keeping me informed of his progress. Nothing was too much trouble for them

We recently celebrated Mum's birthday at the home with a family party in the garden. This was the first time we have all been able to get together since Mum moved into Hatfield Peverel due to Covid restrictions. The staff at the home could not do enough to make it a really special afternoon.
They
have been so helpful and caring during the time Mum has been a resident.

care home organised a jubilee celebration. The garden was decorated with balloons, banners and food was put out for the relatives and families. A singer had been hired and all had a fantastic day and sing song and a glass of prosecco. staff did an amazing job, it was a really good fun day.

Came to visit my mother and the staff had arranged a Jubilee party. Brilliant atmosphere, great food and wonderful entertainment. The staff had decorated the home beautifully and the food and drink were fantastic. A lovely day enjoyed by residents and families and the staff went beyond expectations.

My mother in law was extremely well looked after during her stay and the Carers, Nurses and management team could not do enough for her. She was encouraged to mobilise, she ate very well and the kitchen team were so helpful in finding out what she wanted to eat, and supported her fully with this. We
had no concerns about her safety.

I am extremely happy with the care my father has received since his stay at the home. Everyone has been so caring towards him and me and my family when visiting. Every member of staff I have met has been friendly and supportive, I cannot thank them enough.

The floor is my husband's room is very dirty and sticky both under the bed and all around the room - it hasn't been washed for some time I know my husband's skin is very thin but he has bruises all over his hands and arms and I feel this is not helped by the lack of padding on his rails.

Really happy with the way they care for my grandad and I love the entertainment they provide for the residents. They have a live singer that comes and it has been lovely to be able to dance with my grandad to some lovely music. The staff are lovely, caring and very helpful.

I have been a funeral director for 34 years, so as you well know I do go into a lot of nursing/care homes. I have to say, Hatfield Peverel Care Home is amazing. Yes, it needed some paint, the staff I find are very welcoming, the home is spotless and smells fresh. Every time I come to see my family member,
he's smart happy and content.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and care you give my uncle.

I am so very happy with the care and love he receives at this care home. I know we all have our ups and downs, but he is always very clean and very well looked after.
