Overall, mom's stay at Arden Lea Grove was good. She settled initally but become more unsettled as time went on. The staff did their very best considering the ratio of carers to their patients. Some of the lounge furniture was not very good and the chairs are in need of replacing. Mom struggled with food options but was never really asked each day as to what she wanted.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear that overall your Mums stay was good. We will discuss your feedback with our management team as we do continuously strive to improve our service. Thank you again.
We have nothing but praise for all the staff, Activities taken place nearly every day and we never thought mum would join in, but she loves it. Lots of lovely photos put on social media for us to see. She always looks so happy.
Thank you x
Thank you for your lovely review. It's lovely to know that mum has been enjoying the activities and events at the home. Keeping our residents engaged and happy is one of our top priorities. We're looking forward to creating many more happy memories with you and your family.
Ardenlea are doing a fabulous job of caring for my 94 yr old father. The staff and all the management team are all exceptional with help, friendliness, and, hospitality when visiting and helping with issues that may occur. I'm so pleased my father is a resident here and couldn't wish for better care in every aspect. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would!
We appreciate you sharing your experience with our home. We are so pleased to hear that your father is being looked after and cared for well at Ardenlea Grove Care Home. Hearing that our care has made a difference to you and your family is truly rewarding. We're committed to continuing to support you and your family in every way we can.
We attended the Garden Party on 16th June. The staff had gone to a lot of trouble to set the scene with lots of decorations and everyone was in red hats. Ruby Ann was an excellent entertainer and a lovely afternoon tea was provided, followed by ice-cream. I loved the way the staff interacted with the residents, helping each one to join in, in their own way. There was such a happy atmosphere, everyone clearly enjoying the fun
We appreciate you sharing your experience with our home. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the garden party with Ardenlea Grove, thank you for recognizing the effort our activities team put into creating meaningful moments with residents. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Always a good experience when visiting my mom. Welcomed with a smile and friendly chat with the receptionist. The carers are always helpful and informative if any questions are asked by myself. The care home in general is excellent this includes all staff.
Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you are always made to feel welcome when visiting and that our team are friendly, helpful and able to support any questions you may have. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we are pleased that your experience of the home and our staff has been such a positive one. Thank you for taking the time to share your comments.
They have looked after my 93-year-old Mom since December 2025. She was in an assessment area previously for 5 months. She arrived to this care home in an awful, confused state but with care and attention here, Mom has some of her spark back after being institutionalised for so long. She has gradually, with love and care, begun to interact with staff/residents and taking part in all activities. Loves having her meals and over time got stronger. I am so impressed with this home.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy that your Mum has now got her spark back after being well cared for at Ardenlea Grove. Thank you again for choosing us to care for your Mum.
I find the staff warm friendly, and helpful. Every time I visit the home. Always smells lovely and fresh and clean. The residents seem happy and content, and they always got actives which I think is very important and helpful for all residents.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you find our staff to be warm and friendly and that the home is always clean and fresh. We hope to welcome you for another visit again soon.
I am pleased the home offers my mum a place of safety. She is kept clean and presentable and overall the food is good. The care staff work very hard and the activity staff. Rooms maybe a bit dated and need brightening up but you can take your own bedding in which helps. I have to give praise to the office staff as they are brilliant and of great help and support to me with dealing with queries. Thank you for looking after my mother as it was hard to have to let her go to a nursing home after looking after her for 15 years but I can relax a bit more knowing she is safe.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you can relax knowing that your Mum is safe in our care. Thank you for choosing Ardenlea Grove for her care.

Exceptional staff on the second floor looking after my Mom. Needs are met any problems are dealt with within 24 hours from the staff. Eggy/Julie are exceptional carers tending to my mom, taking time out to talk to her, in between visits and if they aren't too busy with other residents, activities are here for all residents, and again Julie goes out of her way to see if my mom wants to participate. Food is good and plenty of choice again the two foremost mentioned can't fault or praise enough - unbelievable pair of staff.
We appreciate you sharing your experience with our home. Providing peace of mind for families is one of our top priorities, so your words mean a lot. It is wonderful to hear that your Mom has settled in comfortably with us and we're committed to making every day as positive and comfortable as possible for your loved one.
Choosing a care home for a loved one is never easy. You want them to be somewhere where they feel safe, somewhere clean. Where the staff are friendly and also professional. Food that is nutritious, but also looks appetising and a room that is spacious, which you can turn into a home. Also, somewhere that you, as their most frequent visitor, are going to be made to feel welcome, listened too and treated as the person who knows your loved one best.
I found all of this in a place called Ardenlea Grove, in Solihull.
I visited numerous times. All times of the day and night and not once was I made to feel uncomfortable. From Rachel on reception, Chryll in Finance, Egbert and his team of wonderful nurses & nursing assistants, John the maintenance guy and not forgetting Sanah the Manager. I met them all and not once did I sense any red flags. So the decision was made. And that's when the real fight began.
If you aren't self funding, sadly, there are many hoops you have to jump through with regard to the local authority, to get the home of your choosing. From funding, to the right equipment. But it was during this battle that any lingering doubts I might have had that Ardenlea Grove was the right place for my husband, was quickly demolished. Because my fight became their fight and the support I received, before my husband even set foot on the premises, was immeasurable. And here we are, 8 weeks down the line, with my husband happily looking at the squirrels & birds in the tree outside his window. With family pictures hanging on the wall. Clean, shaven and a delicious lunch ahead of him and the icing on the cake? Unlimited visits from the love of his life. Lucy, his beloved dog!
Do I recommend Ardenlea Grove? That would be a yes.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this outstanding review of our care home. We are blown away by your kind words! You quite rightly stated that there are many factors to consider when looking for the right care home for a loved one- location, food and cleanliness to name a few but what...
I found my wife to be cared for very well indeed. All the staff she meets are very efficient, friendly and kind. Food deserves praise. The cost of all this excellence is understandably high.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you find your wife is very well cared for by our friendly staff and that she enjoys the meals we provide. Thank you again for your review.
Mom has been a resident since 2024, and we feel she is fully cared for by committed and caring staff. Although we see her every day, we are secure in the knowledge that when we are not there, she is safe and her well-being is a priority. The staff work hard, I just wish there were more of them so there could be more 1:1 conversations with the residents.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you feel your Mom is well cared for and you can relax knowing this. We will certainly pass your comments on to the the management team regarding one to one time.
I am really happy with the care given to mum - she is well looked after by nurses and carers. I am kept informed about Mum every time I visit/call. The home is always putting on activities, visits, music, and quizzes for residents (and visitors). To keep the residents as active and involved as possible. Mum is dressed, clean and cared for. The rooms are clean, and food is nutritious (when mum feels like eating). I would recommend this home.
It's always encouraging to read reviews like this. We want our home to feel like a community, and it's wonderful to hear that you feel a part of it. It's great to know that you feel your loved one has been well cared for- that's exactly what we strive for. We're committed to continuing to support you and your family in every way we can.
Staff are amazing, from night staff to office staff and care team, they are all cheerful and helpful. A special mention of Egbert, his care and nursing has solved mum's medical problems when the hospital had 'washed their hands' of her. Having someone who mum trusts has made a world of difference. Also office staff have spent many hours sorting issues with finances for us, which is so appreciated.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so pleased to hear how well your mother is doing in our care. We are fortunate to have such dedicated staff who love what they do and it's great to hear this reflected in your comments. Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything more we can do.
I love volunteering here weekly. The staff are so lovely. From baking to jewellery making to virtual cruises, the activities are amazing!! My favourite activity is when a live singer came in as I could see the positive impact it had on the residents. Thank you for the experience to volunteer!!

My review for the Home is excellent. From Reception Rachel to Nurses Sister Anne and Home Manager Sanah, they are amazing, always there to help and so welcoming. They make it feel like family. Also HCA San and Jo go above and beyond with my mum and other residents. Overall, they listen to any concerns you have.

Meet the Team (4)

I am a qualified nurse with previous experience working in both hospitals and care home settings.
I enjoy working in a care home environment due to its homely atmosphere, where residents and staff come together as an extended family.
I joined Ardenlea Grove in February 2024 as Clinical Deputy Manager and have since progressed into the role of Home Manager. I am passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting both residents and staff to feel safe, valued and supported every day.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and like learning new things - I love to be creative!

I have been a nurse for 25 years and I have been working for Bupa since 2004.
I was born in India where I was working as a nurse before I moved over to the UK. My favourite part about my job is taking care of residents and making them comfortable and happy.
I live locally in Ardenlea Grove with my wife and two teenage children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, and my hobbies include swimming and sport, especially cricket!

I have been working for Bupa for 6 years. I love my job because it is varied from day to day. I am proud of my team, we all work together to keep our Home looking beautiful and clean.

I have worked for Bupa for a number of years, my previous role being Chef Manager. As the Maintenance Operative, l found my role to be a highly dynamic and interesting one. I have new tasks to face every day, and I like that no day is the same. I enjoy the challenges that this position brings and ensuring everything is of the best quality for our residents.
