My review for the Home is excellent. From Reception Rachel to Nurses Sister Anne and Home Manager Sanah, they are amazing, always there to help and so welcoming. They make it feel like family. Also HCA San and Jo go above and beyond with my mum and other residents. Overall, they listen to any concerns
you have.

I am an resident who came when I needed to find care at short notice. Ardenlea where already know to me as they had looked after my husband for a number of years. The staff managers, nurses, back office staff reception cleaners cooks maintenance gardens entertainment staff. I found Ardenlea for my husband
who had Parkinson's recommend by his Parkinson nurse I realised the staff would understand the need for PD meds to very carefully timed. My husband died several months after I came in to be The staff are now looking after me but they do the same level of care for everyone .This is is now my home and would recommend anyone to be cared for as well but Ardenlea is always full.
Although Ardelnlea is called a Care home it is actually a full Nursing Home. It the level of care is t 24 hours 7 days a week. Nurses and carer are on 12 hours shifts. The GP surgery gives excellent care
Their is complete choice of menu and full enteratinment 7 days a week.

Ardenlea Grove Care Home is extremely well run with pleasant and professional staff. The rooms are large and well furnished. This care home is located close to the center of Solihull with good road connections. Having looked around many local care homes for my wife I am sure I chose the right one.
The care home is clean and well laid out.

I find the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Mum is comfortable. warm and in the right environment although personally I find it very difficult. The room is basic and when I saw her last she looked somewhat dishevelled and needing a bit of TLC. It may be her refusing - I do know her! Overall she
looked a sad old lady.
The staff were very attentive and I cannot fault them or the care.
It was a shame to visit in January that no one had opened the card with the flowers sent to her for Christmas.

I know it was a one off and a snowy Sunday, but the paths and road were unsafe and needed clearing for access to the site. Being picky here.

It was hard for us emotionally moving mom to a care home . That said and 12 months on we are happy that we know that when we are not there she is fully cared for emotionally and physically . Staff are lovely and care very much for the wellbeing of the residents.

Ardenlea Grove Care Home, part of Bupa, consistently meets high expectations. While Lisa is missed, Sanah, the new Home/Clinical Manager, is doing an impressive job maintaining these standards. From the moment you enter, Rachel at reception offers a warm welcome, setting a positive tone. The Sapphire
Ward team works exceptionally hard-special thanks to Egbert, Staff Nurse, and Julie, Care Worker, whose professionalism and compassion are truly reassuring. Having visited multiple times, I can confidently say that Ardenlea operates to a very high standard, showing dedication, consistency, and genuine care for residents. Credit where it is due.

Since the day we viewed the room, assessment, sticking mum's room with clothes etc., the office staff, carers have been so caring and helpful. Mum settled very quickly. Ardenlea is very clean at all times. Now we realise we should have done this earlier. Totally fulfilled all of mum's needs. Thank you
to all the staff.

I always receive a lovely welcome at reception and the staff are lovely and take the time to get to know my friend, including his food likes and dislikes. They have activities sessions to keep the residents occupied and interacting with each other.

I am extremely grateful for the persistent pressure that Sarah (clinical lead) has put on the local mental health team to get my mum re-assessed and medication prescribed for her Alzheimer's. Mum has been in considerable distress for several months.

Overall, we are satisfied with the care and support given at Ardenlea Grove, the staff are all very helpful and friendly and caring. We are always notified of any signs of illness, etc. And the residents are treated with dignity. Food is of a good standard, and the rooms are a good size with everything
that is needed. There are activities for those who wish or are able to join in. We do think that the cleanliness of the room itself could be improved. Thank you, Ardenlea Grove Care Home.

Very happy with mum's care. Nurses, carers, in fact, all staff are lovely, approachable, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful to me and other visitors.
Mum seems to be happy/settled most of the time, even when she is tired and upset (part of her illness)
It is unfortunately out of our hands where
she now finds herself - but I am happy that she is well cared for and safe.

I chose to come to Ardenlea Grove Care Home for some respite care. The ethos is immediately striking as friendly, happy and welcoming. In particular, the staff are especially helpful and respectful. The food is home made which suited the fact that I needed to put on weight. The room is adequate but
needs a make over. I would have liked some opportunity to do some basic physio as I spent a lot of time immobile, walks to the garden are ok but needs some attention to encourage residents to go there. Overall, I was happy with my stay, especially the lovely staff.

The staff are friendly and courteous at all times. Measures were put in place so my husband did not choke on his food. A pad was put on his bed so they could be alerted if he got up as he is prone to falling. The rooms are a good size and comfortable - as are the lounge and dining room. 3 activities

Staff on Sapphire are excellent and even though my husband is unable to talk they are able to understand his needs. They work extremely hard and remain cheerful. The home itself is very warm, welcoming with polite staff on entrance. Both me and Mom meet with a smile. I personally have had not one problem whilst mo has been here, with the care staff providing exceptional care towards my Mom and her needs. Even when they seem understaffed the care does not change.
Any questions I've asked have been answered in a timely manner and if staff can't provide the answer they go out of their way to make sure someone will know. Overall exceptional care staff.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.524)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.524) out of 10 for Ardenlea Grove Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.524 for Ardenlea Grove Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (214 Excellents x 5) + (137 Goods x 4) + (18 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 370 Ratings = 4.524
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ardenlea Grove Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I enjoy working in a care home environment due to its homely atmosphere, where residents and staff come together as an extended family.

I joined Ardenlea Grove in February 2024 as Clinical Deputy Manager and have since progressed into the role of Home Manager. I am passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and supporting both residents and staff to feel safe, valued and supported every day.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and like learning new things - I love to be creative!
