Personalised care and support plans are provided at Ardenlea Grove, for both long-term care and shorter stays. A team of professional and experienced staff provide residential, nursing and dementia care, whether that's for long or short stays or for respite.

The attractive purpose-built home is set over three floors and offers well-equipped facilities and accommodation. Rooms offer ensuite bathrooms and 24-hour call systems and most have views of the landscaped gardens.

Residents can choose to eat in the welcoming dining room or in the privacy of their own rooms, enjoying meals that are freshly prepared to suit individual tastes and diets. Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and include sandwiches, drinks and fruit.

Residents can enjoy varied activities and events programme as well as regular trips and outings. Residents can also benefit from an onsite salon along with additional therapies and services.

The home boasts a pub within the Emerald Uni, aptly named the 'Emerald Inn' that care home staff tirelessly built. With its authentic look and feel it's a great place for residents to come together and enjoy a drink, play some games and even listen to music on the jukebox.

I visit a friend who became a resident last year after her husband died. I see her every 3/4 weeks and over the months have noticed that slowly she has settled in and seems happy now joining in many of the activities and making friends.
As I am an active 87-year-old but have no family I may need to
become a resident myself at somewhere like this so I find it interesting to see how things are run and I must say I am impressed.

Our family has very much appreciated the help Ardenlea Grove Care Home has given us in caring for our seriously ill mother. We have found a high standard of nursing care which we had difficulty accessing in the community, to be readily available ar Ardenlea Grove, thereby ensuring Mum's comfort and
dignity. All staff have been welcoming and continue to help in many different ways, whether with administrative matters, providing quick changes of the menu, helping Mum get more comfortable and even providing an in-room tea tray for the family to use, Mum is a great tea drinker! Staff get to know residents and their needs and it is pleasing that residents are cared for, largely by the same team, and that residents and their families get to know the staff in return. Ardenlea Grove is decorated and furnished to a high standard. Rooms look like those in a comfortable, family home. It is always warm and both the buildings and residents are immaculate. Any problems with the building or equipment are addressed quickly and efficiently by the on-site handyman, a welcome 'extra' we were not expecting.

Our father was discharged from hospital to Ardenlea Grove Care Home for end-of-life care. We have visited every day and found the staff to be friendly, kind, caring and compassionate. They are a wonderful team supporting the residents and each other, They have managed any problems my father has encountered
with empathy finding solutions to suit his needs, they haven't adopted a one size fits all approach at all. The care home is always clean and tidy from the reception area through to the communal areas and the bedrooms. We are so pleased with the care our father has received whilst at Ardenlea Grove Care Home and are grateful for the support they are providing at such a difficult time.

My mum has been living at this care home for the past 6 months, and I have been so impressed with the care and attention she has received. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. My mum has been very well looked after and is always happy when I visit. She has been able to enjoy
a number of activities, as well as making new friends and forming relationships with the staff. The care home has made sure that my mother is comfortable and happy throughout her stay and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment. The manager is always available to answer any questions and are very responsive to any concerns or feedback. My mother was very poorly when she first arrived, but now she is looking forward to independent living. I am so grateful to the care home for all they have done for her and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Carers and nursing staff were excellent - they deserve a lot more respect from management. They all treated Mum in an excellent way and very professional with all relatives. Overall the home does not provide what it says it does eg pet therapy. It was only with perseverance that I got clean/new flooring
in Mum's room. Walls needed a repaint and overall the whole home needs improvement. Generally did not feel the manager listened.

Any family member that can no longer look after themselves is very stressful time, and having to put them in care is a very emotional time. Over the past three months, the outstanding home has provided my mother with the utmost care. They have helped us as a family in such worrying times. The care given

The NHS discharged my mother without my consent for rehabilitation. My mother has dementia and is bed-bound needing full nursing care. She was left lying in her own excrement, half-dressed, and her food and drinks were left on the side when she requires full assisted eating. The situation was so bad
that my brother physically moved our mother and took her home in his car when really she needed an ambulance. The place was also dirty. At the end of the day, you have to blame the management and nurses for allowing such poor care.
Please, please check this place before anyone in your family is moved by the NHS into this place.

Ardenlea Grove Care Home is just an amazing place. My Dad was sadly only with them for a short amount of time but he was treated with the utmost care, dignity, love, and laughter. He loved it there and so did we. We cannot fault the care he received. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The people who
work there are people who genuinely care not just carers. Cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful place.

My mom came to Ardenlea nursing home, of her own choice having struggled with underlying mobility and health issues. She was looked after with kindness and humour, by a number of care workers some of whom became mom's favourites. Following brief spells in hospital while in care, she returned to Ardenlea
recently for end-of-life care as her cancer advanced. I have full praise for those staff who gave that little extra to mom, right up until her recent passing. Myself and mom were treated in a warm and compassionate way, as a very frequent visitor, it was a pleasure to experience the supportive environment. The rooms are light and cheery, I would recommend it to anyone in need able to fund their excellent place to be a resident.

Mum was transferred to Ardenlea Grove to recover from a hip operation following a fall at home. Unfortunately, her Dementia deteriorated meaning Mum needed 24/7 care which she got from the very patient and caring staff and management throughout her stay, despite the restrictions due to covid. Our thanks
to everyone at Ardenlea Grove for all their efforts.

My dad was discharged to Ardenlea Grove for end-of-life care. The level of care he received allowed me to spend the last few months of his life as his daughter again, rather than his carer. Their Covid arrangements are excellent and align to the quality of care they provide. Dad was always kept clean
and comfortable and the meals were varied and freshly cooked. They treated both dad and myself like friends/family. The staff are always there for you, they greet you with a friendly smile, they kept me informed at all times and when the time came for dad's passing, I was able to be there by his side with staff nearby to comfort me. The staff had got to know my dad during his short stay there and were also saddened by his passing. I will never forget the kindness shown by the staff.

As a former nurse and carer, I have visited many care homes over the years. I consider Ardenlea Grove to be the best and I myself would be happy to reside there. The staff are always helpful and the way they have rehabilitated my friend over the past 2 and a half years has been exemplary.

Ardenlea Grove is a helpful place, it caters for all types of ills. Staff are caring, efficient, and firm. Helping to get up and hand out pills.
The meals were varied, delicious, nutritious. All served with a welcoming smile. The rooms were clean, spacious, well-planned. Essential if staying a while.
Most
folk are grateful for Ardenlea's care. Running on well-oiled wheels. The rehab care worked out just fine. Back home now to continue to heal.

The receptionist and nursing staff are excellent, very friendly, professional, willing to help especially in these (covid 19) times. The bathroom in my mother's room smells and I told the nurse and he took care of that. The carpets on Sapphire floor look like they should be replaced. WiFi should be

I enjoy working here because of the residents, my team and the ability to make a difference to a family.


I am married with two children. In my spare time, I love watching rugby, going to the gym and being creative. I love the outdoors! Surfing, skiing and climbing are a huge passion for me.
