I was made to feel very welcome, it's been a good experience. Much needed after the stay in hospital. The lovely food has slowly rejuvenated my appetite. My thanks to all the people at Druid Stoke.

After visiting various care homes in the area on behalf of my mother we found Druid Stoke to be the most suitable based on location to family, costs and general contact with the staff leading into moving Mum from her home in Maidenhead to Bristol. Moving day went smoothly with all staff at Druid Stoke treating Mum with kindness and dignity. Since moving in on 26th Feb, she is getting used to her new surroundings and her general health and well-being have noticeably improved. I am very happy to recommend Druid Stoke Care Home.

My Mother had been a resident at Druid Stoke for two years.After much searching for a relevant place for her to stay we chose Druid Stoke because of location and friendliness of staff initially. The care and empathy has been incredible especially these difficult last few months when my Mother was so ill, on our visits staff were always on hand tending to her and reassuring her.The hands on management team was always appreciated and transparency of any situation helped gain our trust. My friend continues to be well looked after by the staff and I feel that she is safe in their care. The activities programme is sometimes disappointing when advertised activities don't happen (though I understand how disheartening it must be for the organisers when only 4-6 residents turn up!). The food I would judge to be good any criticisms have been addressed and implemented.

The only 'criminal activity' I came across was the home-baked cakes (the black forest gateau - bliss!), the doughnuts and the chocolate pastries. I was unable to resist when offered these for afternoon tea or puddings; and put back the weight I'd lost before my hip replacement. I stayed at Druids Stoke for 3 weeks respite and thought I was in heaven. The staff were marvellous, friendly and attentive. What's more, the other 'inmates' were the lovely. In fact, the whole atmosphere at Druids Stoke was happy and uplifting. I attended the physiotherapy sessions twice a week and was glad that I had especially for the help in getting me on crutches safely, both along the corridors, then up and down the stairs. A heartfelt thank you to you all of you.

I spent 4 weeks in the Nursing Home part of Druid Stoke Nursing Home. The care was very good with caring, friendly and helpful staff. The food was good and they accommodated my needs, giving me plenty of fresh fruit rather than puddings. My room was comfortable and warm.

Between Christmas and New Year, my mum (then living in sheltered accommodation) decided she could not cope anymore - a number of medical complaints having been compounded by a fall. We got busy - contacted Druid Stoke (of which we had previous experience) and managed to get mum in on the same day. The 'admission process would normally require lots of admin support from people who (quite rightly) were on holiday. The Non-clinical Unit Lead made it happen. We are indebted to her. I would however like to acknowledge the whole team. Everyone we met was busy but went out of their way to be welcoming.

My mum has been in Druid Stoke for two years and we are very happy with the care she receives. Druid Stoke's greatest asset is its staff. They are very caring, engaging and empathetic and nothing is too much trouble for them. There is a good variety of entertainment for the residents such as games, films, and physio. The care home seems to be a happy place.
