Mum had her 100th birthday this July, the home made her a fabulous cake, decorated the private room and made the whole experience a lovely one for us all to remember. Thank you Heol Don x

My aunt went into Heol Don in December 2025, initially for respite but remained there until she passed away yesterday.

I could not be happier with the care provided, particularly towards the end of my aunt's life. The carers on her unit treated her with care and respect. They also supported us at every opportunity.

We had the opportunity to have lunch, with my aunt, a few time. Again we were treated really well.

We dealt with the administration staff, Sally and Beverly, who always supported us and gave us there time.

I was very happy that we chose Heol Don to care for my aunt.

We have been extremely impressed with Heol Don care home and its staff. It was such a relief to find somewhere for Dad that felt like the perfect place for him - safe, friendly, fun, and giving enough freedom to roam in the lovely, self-contained gardens. Dad has early onset dementia and Heol Don is ideal for him. The staff are always friendly and upbeat, creating a positive and vibrant atmosphere. We would thoroughly recommend this care home.

Only comment, when we arrived (first visit), we didn't know the code or where to go. But did get the attention of staff who put us in the lift.

We visited on Mother's Day, very nice welcoming atmosphere and had a lovely lunch organised by Steve and his team and had a nice long visit. Thanks.

By and large, we are very happy with the care my mother is receiving at Heol Don. Most of the staff are wonderful and professional. Some are exceptional, and I wish I could name them! There have been just a couple of instances where I felt mum was slightly infantilised - once where she wasn't believed when she said she wasn't ready to get into her pyjamas because my sister was due to visit, and once when she was told her daughter had phoned to ask for her to be washed, which was not the case.

I'm a friend, but I have found everybody very helpful & kind. Looks very much like a hotel, so I would enjoy living here myself.

I saw all the wonderful efforts that the brilliant staff prepared for Christmas when I visited on Monday. My family's sincere thanks to you all!!! What a superb and caring Team!

Gemma was excellent and provided the most friendly and warm welcome, and was so kind to the residents. She went above and beyond and treated us with the upmost respect, and helped us to navigate the facility with ease.

The facilities are top class which really make it feel like a 'home''.

The staff are always lovely, always helpful when I visit, Gemma was fab on my last visit bringing us a pot of tea and biscuits, made us feel so welcome.

Gemma was full of energy when we last visited. She gave us tea and biscuits, which helped for a relaxed visit with my sister. We felt very welcome.

The care staff and management of the home have been excellent. Our Mum has been treated with dignity and respect and has settled into the home really well. Her room is always spotlessly clean, and she looks clean, happy and well cared for. The meals are always lovely, and she is encouraged to be involved in all the activities. Having a hair salon on site is a real bonus, and knowing that the doctor is visiting on a regular basis gives peace of mind. Being able to be included in activities is great, and knowing we can book a lunch/meal with her is really nice.

My 93 year old cousin has been made very welcome here whilst she recovers from a hip operation. The home was very responsive when we were first in touch, very flexible re admission dates, and spoke with us about how long my cousin will stay. Everyone has been very kind, and my cousin is doing well.

My mum, Margaret, has been staying at Heol Don for convalescent care since 23rd Sept after a 3 week hospital stay for a fractured femur. She wasn't keen on the idea of a care home, but has enjoyed her stay and the staff and other residents have her very welcome. A care package for her return home should be in place soon. This has been so much better for her than having to stay in hospital! ( Only criticism 'No broadband on TV')
