My Dad has been in Brookview Care Home a few weeks now and has settled in really well which is testament to the very kind and caring way he is being in my Dad's words "well looked after" by everyone (both day and night). One of the things that I feel is quite special about Brookview Care Home is that
it feels like a "home". It has a very warm and friendly feel and we noticed this from our first visit which is why we thought it would be very suitable for my Dad who really missed being in the home he has lived in previously for over 65 years! My elderly Mum visits frequently and everyone is so kind to her and she also feels at home at Brookview Care Home. The activities team are such good fun and the residents are often seen socialising and having fun. My Dad is also very happy with the food and everyone goes out of their way to accommodate his needs. When I talk to other residents and families they are all very positive about Brookview Care Home just like we are as a family too.
Reply from David Mclean, Customer Service Adviser at Brookview Care Home

Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. It is wonderful to hear that your Dad has settled in comfortably with us and we hope that you all feel like a part of our Brookview family. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hazelmere House Care Home

Mum was in Hazelmere for 2 1/2 years. When we originally did the rounds of nursing homes in the area, Hazelmere stood out. We received a warm welcome and all the staff that passed us smiled and said hello.
As one would expect, it is a difficult transition from being in your own home to a care home
but the staff made a real effort to get to know my mum and within a week or two she was on first name terms with them all. Whoever came into the room be there care staff, nursing staff, domestics, people taking food orders, all made time to speak to mum and ensure she was getting what she needed, this provided a great deal of reassurance.
There are a range of daily activities and all residents are encouraged to participate. If someone cannot get out of their room for a day or two, someone will come and visit.
When mum's health declined, the levels of care from the nursing staff were first rate, anticipating her requirements and ensuring she was always comfortable.
The whole team are fantastic

My first experience of visiting a loved one in a care home , was Newton Court . I wasn't able to look around beforehand , due to an illness, but my family did , and they said that Newton Court was the home of their choice , I really didnt know what to expect, as you only want the best care for your
family.
Mum was a little confused the day of her transfer from hospital , but once we had reassured her ,with the help of the staff , she settled .
Mum has now settled into life at Newton Court , she is slowly becoming the lady she was , and with the help from the staff slowly becoming more social , spending abit more time in the lounge , and talking to the other residents and smiling once again.
Newton Court has a warmth about it , it isn't clinical like some carehomes we looked around , it is friendly, it has a heartbeat, and it most definitely feels like home.

My grandma received exceptional care whilst she lived at Mount Hall. I loved visiting her, it was like home from home. The staff were loving and attentive, not just with grandma but with us too - they took an interest in us all. They treated grandma with respect, like she was family. The activities
they planned for grandma and the residents were fab, and often included family members too. We never worried about grandma as we knew she was taken such good care of. Thank you!

My Dad was in Hazelmere for respite care. We were very impressed from the beginning with how the Resident Experience Manager at Hazelmere made us as a family feel so welcome and how efficient he was making sure things were in place for my Dad eg: telephone system which was so important for my Dad to
feel connected to his family.
The activities team always included my Mum when she visited my Dad and they have a great variety of activities. My Dad loved the garden centre trip. Hazelmere is also very well located for some green space to go for walks with residents as there is a park next door and also the grounds are nice to walk around too.
I have given 5 stars for everything as all the different teams including reception, administration, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, care and nursing team were very kind and helpful and really made a big difference to our overall experience and my Dad's care and wellbeing.

Hi my stepmother was in Newton Court for almost 10 years ... she arrived July 2015. She died recently in April - it's been very hard to write a review until now. The staff have been exceptional during her stay there. Initially she wanted to stay put in her room and have her meals there she was a
downstairs resident - moving upstairs finally to nursing care In October 24. She was very well supported - she had lots of favourites Its hard to name the ones over this length of time . She outlived many of her peer group - she loved it there. When dementia came and her swallow disappeared she was more than happy to go to the main room and watch the world go by there. She loved the animals visiting the church services and I can really say we were both supported during the whole time there.
When the time came to move her "upstairs" again it was managed - my only gripe at the time of the move was communication was poor.

My husband was a resident at Brookview for 13 months and since his passing I have continued to visit nearly every week as the Brookview Staff and residents became like family. There is so much care, love and laughter in the home, I look forward each week to going in and catching up with staff and residents,
even joining in some of the activities. The home is such a happy place and it is so lovely to still visit chatting and reminiscing with the residents in the lounge or in the beautiful garden. Because of the wonderful care my husband received we were able to make memories there and it will always have a special place in my heart. Our young Grandson can only ever remember his Granddad being in Brookview but he loved visiting him there. He called it Hadad's House (his name for his Granddad) He said that his Hadad lived in a big house with all his friends and that was very very true. Brookview is a very special place and I would highly recommend to anybody.

The ladies and gents at Brookview are an absolute credit to the company and indeed to the Care industry.
I have seen my dad go from a bewildered man to a happy, settled and much healthier version of himself over the weeks since becoming a resident.
Everything is wonderful, and the amount of long term
staff here gives me complete peace of mind that my dad is in the right place. He has a lovely room with a wonderful view, good food and staff that treat him with respect and kindness. If you are considering residential care for your loved one, I would wholeheartedly recommend Brookview.

My mother has been at Brookview for nearly a year now and I can't speak highly enough of the care that she has received over this time. I always knew that I had found the right place for her after meeting most of the staff that care for the residents. Mum has settled in very well and always says she
