Hazelmere House is an attractive purpose built home with en suite rooms. Residents are welcome to personalise with own furnishings and bits from home, all rooms are cleaned daily with many overlooking the homes well maintained wrap-around gardens.
I have worked for Bupa for 5 years. I previously worked in the police force as a communications officer, followed by home care, where I then progressed into care homes and worked my way up to where I am today.
Caring for residents is my passion, and ensuring all their needs are met. I love engaging with families and the team to ensure Hazelmere House is a great place to live and work.
I am married with three grown-up children and a granddaughter who is five. I live in Knutsford, and in my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on walks with our dog, having sunny holidays and socialising with friends!
I've worked at Bupa for 8 years and really enjoy my job and like the company I work for.
I get a lot of job satisfaction helping/supporting the residents, they are wonderful people who have a lot of interesting stories to tell.
Before working at Hazelmere I was a registered mental health nurse at Brookview care home.
I spent most of my career working as an IT specialist in the manufacturing industry and when I felt ready for a fresh challenge and a new start, I just found myself naturally drawn to the care sector. I am very grateful that Bupa and Hazelmere House gave me the opportunity.
My first role here was actually as the maintenance person back in 2011. I'd never even considered becoming the Resident Experience Manager, but when the opportunity came up I was encouraged to apply... and I guess the rest is history, because I've been in love with the role every since.
It's a really diverse and rewarding position. I tend to be involved in a lot of show-rounds and make sure the admissions process runs smoothly. I also support all the hotel services here in the home - they can be so important in making sure people feel comfortable and reassured.
It can sometimes be quite sensitive when people come for a visit so the very least we can give them is a warm welcome and complete honesty. Trusted advice doesn't cost a penny, but it can be invaluable - and from a personal perspective, I really do get a lot of satisfaction from feeling that I'm making a different and making people happier.
I'm the Chef Manager here at Hazelmere House and I've been working with and around food for 30 years now. My previous experience was with the NHS, where I was awarded with a few prestigious cooking awards; this fired my passion for food even more!
I moved to the care sector 7 years ago and have been working in Bupa for the last six years. The residents overall food experience is so important to me and I'm always looking to try new ideas and test new dishes.
I love being able to make a difference in residents' lives and improve their experience. Prior to working here at Hazelmere House, I was a creative therapist at St Ann's Hospice for 17 years.
I have two grown-up sons and one gorgeous grandson. My husband and I share our home with our 2 cats. In my spare time, I enjoy arts & crafts, gardening, walks & holidaying.
I was a registered nurse for 10 years in West Yorkshire, including roles in private nursing homes. I later worked for the youth criminal justice system. I love being back in a care setting; apart from the satisfaction of our team ensuring the home is clean & tidy, I love to talk to residents about their lives and achievements. We have a really friendly atmosphere here at Hazelmere House.
I live locally with my husband, daughter, dog and 2 cats. My two sons come and go as their careers allow. In my spare time, we enjoy listening to live music and going to the cinema & theatre. I keep fit kickboxing with my daughter & lots of dog walks!
