Hazelmere House features spacious and comfortable accommodation providing a warm and safe environment, with views of gardens and nearby parkland, en-suite rooms and tasteful colour schemes.

All bedrooms come with a remote-controlled TV and a 24-hour call system and some have French doors leading out to the garden.

Hazelmere House offers many forms of care, nursing and rehabilitation to elderly residents. Residential, convalescence and respite needs are welcome, with carers also experienced in palliative care, as well as being able to tailor solutions to the needs of other medical conditions like Parkinson’s and Huntington's.

Special diets and tastes are taken on board when preparing the food menu, with snacks, afternoon tea and homemade cake further additions.

Interests and hobbies are encouraged, with art therapy sessions and a mobile library complementing some of the social occasions and events added to the calendar. Regular days out can be enjoyed such as trips to Tatton Park, garden centres, the theatre and the Blackpool Illuminations.

My father was admitted to this care home from hospital in August 2020 and because of the Covid restrictions I have not been able to enter the home. At first we were allowed window visits and my impression of his room was that it was very attractive, comfortable and well-appointed. Dad was always cheerful
when we visited and happy with the care he received. He was very weak when admitted and had severe problems with eating, but the staff were extremely patient and considerate and he gradually improved. I cannot fault the care and attention he has received since and the staff have kept me fully informed of his condition. We now have regular FaceTime calls set up by a member of staff and Dad is always delighted to see me and can't get over the wonders of modern technology. He does not get up at all now, but enjoys reading his daily newspaper and watching the television. Staff also spend time chatting to him.

Yesterday I was allowed to stay with my aunt for the 1st time in 3 months and was overwhelmed with the level of attention and professionalism the care home provides. The staff were truly excellent and a real asset to the care home. They were busy, however, each one displayed a genuine, caring desire
to look after residents and provide the best care possible. It was an honour to be allowed to witness such dedication and see true professionals at work - well done team.

My sister and I chose Hazelmere House for our mother’s two weeks of respite because we were impressed with the manager and we liked the refurbished feel of this care home.
Mum had to self isolate for the 14 days due to the Covid pandemic but we were allowed to do garden visits daily outside her ground
floor room. Some care homes were not even allowing garden visits.
The staff were caring and were aware of her food allergy. There was only one issue with this and the manager was accessible to address any concerns or queries.
Obviously, Mum was unable to participate in activities outside her room during her 14 days but had she stayed longer then she would have been allowed to join in group activities and go into the lovely communal areas, one of which has a nice bar! Staff were accommodating despite the Covid restrictions.
One carer, in particular, was very kind and patient with Mum and another tried to encourage Mum with different meals. We would recommend this care home.

My husband was sent to Hazelmere from hospital following a ten-week stay. He was very confused at first not knowing where he was. However, he soon settled and though very poorly, he responded most days to the very caring staff, who were also very good to me. They allowed me to visit from the outside
so I could talk to him through the window (he was lucky to be in a ground floor room). Everywhere looked beautifully cared for but because of the pandemic, I couldn't go inside.

My mother lived in her own home, she was 94, strong-willed and after another of many falls, was advised to move into a care facility. I am her daughter, and we live in the area; she agreed to move to Hazelmere. They were excellent, caring, friendly, concerned and attentive. They helped her attend her
granddaughter's wedding, celebrated Christmas and her 95th Birthday in style with her family. She died with dignity and in peace, thanks to the care of staff - thank you.

My wife arrived mid-February on a short stay following hospitalisation. After almost four months, my wife is leaving today. Care has been first-class by all involved with her care and support. There is nothing I can fault about the dedicated staff.

During this time she had a very happy life due to the amazing staff, who cared for Mum with so much love and respect. Dad has only been a resident for a week. So far found everyone very helpful and treat Dad with dignity and friendliness. Also, happy that he is looked after medically eg, GP visits.
Not happy that his false teeth gone missing.

I could not more highly recommend Hazelmere. The care they provided to my mother definitely elevated her life and more importantly provided her with 4 happy and fulfilled years.
All the staff were friendly and went continually "above and beyond". They showed her and us; great love and care - right
to the end.

I had a very happy experience at Hazelmere. The staff are always welcoming and give me great care and attention. It is the only care home I've been in that lets me take a shower every day, and that is important to me.

My mother was a resident at Hazelmere House from early 2016. During which time we have seen three different managers in charge. The staff have been very, very kind. Everyone from nursing, carers, housekeepers, kitchen, cleaning, odd jobs, activities and hairdressers, everyone is so kind. My real appreciation
is for the end of life care given to my mum (and previously to my dad). Good discission was really careful to respect mum's wishes, no fuss, no panic, and protecting her from unnecessary interventions.

My sister was at Hazelmere House for almost nine years (December 2010 - September 2019) until her death.
She was cared for with consistent kindness and concern for her well being, despite being a difficult and demanding resident. At one stage she was asked to leave but no alternative could be found.
She was completely bedfast and blind for her last six years and I am deeply appreciative of the care she received from nurses, care workers and others.

My mother was a resident at Hazelmere House following a stroke at her home in November 2018 and her death at the home in April 2019.
We found the staff extremely caring and kind and any request we made was immediately carried out. They respected her privacy and dignity at all times.
Unfortunately,
her health deteriorated but the standard of her end of life palliative care was compassionate and kind, not just to her but to our family as well.
I am pleased to highly recommend Hazelmere House.

The staff and residents have coped with the building renovations which have been going on for months very well. Hopefully, the completion date is in sight. My main complaint is that the heating is totally inadequate and must be sorted out before next Winter. It is nowhere near warm enough for people
whose movement is restricted. The staff in the main are very helpful and kind to residents.

I have been very pleased, I picked Hazelmere House Care Home for my sister.
I know she has had the best care from management, nurses, carers and staff (residents come first).

Both my mum and dad are very settled and are being cared for, exceptionally well, in a lovely and friendly environment. All their needs are being thoroughly met and communication between the home and myself is excellent. As a family, we cannot praise ALL the staff enough. Everyone is very approachable

Staff - excellent, caring, friendly, competent, nothing too much trouble and they were polite enough to laugh at my jokes.
Food - I enjoyed most of my meals, plenty of variety and well cooked and served, although occasionally what appeared on the menu did not appear on the plate.
Accommodation - This
was not up to standard. I would have expected though this was probably due to the premises being redecorated. The room was quite shabby and not very welcoming.

I have worked for Bupa for 5 years. I previously worked in the police force as a communications officer, followed by home care, where I then progressed into care homes and worked my way up to where I am today.


Caring for residents is my passion, and ensuring all their needs are met. I love engaging with families and the team to ensure Hazelmere House is a great place to live and work.


I am married with three grown-up children and a granddaughter who is five. I live in Knutsford, and in my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on walks with our dog, having sunny holidays and socialising with friends!

I spent most of my career working as an IT specialist in the manufacturing industry and when I felt ready for a fresh challenge and a new start, I just found myself naturally drawn to the care sector. I am very grateful that Bupa and Hazelmere House gave me the opportunity.
My first role here was actually as the maintenance person back in 2011. I'd never even considered becoming the Resident Experience Manager, but when the opportunity came up I was encouraged to apply... and I guess the rest is history, because I've been in love with the role every since.
It's a really diverse and rewarding position. I tend to be involved in a lot of show-rounds and make sure the admissions process runs smoothly. I also support all the hotel services here in the home - they can be so important in making sure people feel comfortable and reassured.
It can sometimes be quite sensitive when people come for a visit so the very least we can give them is a warm welcome and complete honesty. Trusted advice doesn't cost a penny, but it can be invaluable - and from a personal perspective, I really do get a lot of satisfaction from feeling that I'm making a different and making people happier.

I'm the Chef Manager here at Hazelmere House and I've been working with and around food for 30 years now. My previous experience was with the NHS, where I was awarded with a few prestigious cooking awards; this fired my passion for food even more!


I moved to the care sector 7 years ago and have been working in Bupa for the last six years. The residents overall food experience is so important to me and I'm always looking to try new ideas and test new dishes.

I love being able to make a difference in residents' lives and improve their experience. Prior to working here at Hazelmere House, I was a creative therapist at St Ann's Hospice for 17 years.


I have two grown-up sons and one gorgeous grandson. My husband and I share our home with our 2 cats. In my spare time, I enjoy arts & crafts, gardening, walks & holidaying.

I was a registered nurse for 10 years in West Yorkshire, including roles in private nursing homes. I later worked for the youth criminal justice system. I love being back in a care setting; apart from the satisfaction of our team ensuring the home is clean & tidy, I love to talk to residents about their lives and achievements. We have a really friendly atmosphere here at Hazelmere House.


I live locally with my husband, daughter, dog and 2 cats. My two sons come and go as their careers allow. In my spare time, we enjoy listening to live music and going to the cinema & theatre. I keep fit kickboxing with my daughter & lots of dog walks!
