Everyone at Hezelmere was very kind, compassionate and caring to my mum, especially during some challenging times. The support from everyone was wonderful and very much appreciated. I felt safe entrusting my mum with the carers and nursing staff.

I cannot ask for better care for my wife and feel reassured that she gets the care she needs. I am fully supported by all staff and management.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your wife's stay as comfortable as possible and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
Hazelmere House Care Home has arranged chaperones to take Mum to and from hospital appointments when required, this has been especially helpful as I do not live locally.
The environment is always clean and tidy, restaurant facilities are pleasant and welcoming.
My mother’s health has improved immensely over the past year as medication has been managed very effectively with complementary services such as podiatry being arranged for residents on a regular basis.
I would recommend Hazelmere House Care Home wholeheartedly.

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to help you through such a difficult time. Thank you for choosing Hazelmere House Care Home for your stay.
Great care meeting the needs of my father. Always aware of dignity and patients wellbeing. My father stayed in Hazelmere House Care Home for three years. We were relieved he was so cared for in the last vulnerable years of his life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry for your loss. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
All staff were friendly, approachable and professional.
Prior to the visit the management team where thorough, approachable and absolutely did what they said they were going to do.
The management team where mindful of treating the family as a whole, not just my parents. They were very empathetic.
Many of the staff were full of life, happy, positive people.
The only issue my parents had is with the food, they complained about not having enough to eat.
As a daughter, I would have liked them to have been more proactive about engaging my mother with the clubs that the home had to offer.
Overall my parents, (who had respite care), finished their stay looking very well cared for, rested and they had put weight on.
Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice for us to hear words such as "mindful" and "friendly" being used to describe the care we provide. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager regarding the activities and food portions.
A very caring and professional service from enquiry through to care given. The care staff are patient, sympathetic, kind and encouraging. They are very responsive to individual needs. The client experience manager has been very supportive as we have juggled with caring for another parent at home. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and this has made our lives much easier. Thank you to everyone.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for choosing Hazelmere House Care Home.
My two week staf at your care home was delightful in all aspects. All your staff were extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was at any time, too much trouble and my stay was undoubtedly the best thing for me to do after my knee replacement surgery.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and found us to be kind and welcoming. Thank you for choosing Hazelmere House for your stay.
Mum moved into Hazelmere House Care Home after spending 3 months in hospital with a broken neck due to a fall in January. Prior to this at 98 she was living independently at home moving around her house well and cooking her own meals. Unfortunately, she is now bedridden which is frustrating for her. I chose Hazelmere as she was in there two years ago for respite care and like the homely environment. Staff are very welcoming whenever I visit. She has only been there for a month and is still being assessed but carers are looking after her well. Not aware of any activities at the home probably due to a Covid outbreak.
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you feel your Mum is being well cared for. We will certainly have a chat about activities she may enjoy and see what we can facilitate for her.
My husband is being cared for extremely well and this eases the stress for me of having to have him in a care home. Although no one can care for him like me his physical needs have outstripped my capabilities. As soon as he developed a urinary tract infection he was given antibiotics. He is settling in as he is familiar with the home and the staff having been in respite care here several times.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, it is nice to hear that you feel your husband is cared for well in our home and settling in well. Thank you for choosing Hazelmere House for your husband's stay.
Recent months have been difficult with Covid and the impact that lockdown has had on both residents and staff. But throughout all this, I have had complete confidence that my father has been well looked after in terms of personal care and physical needs. The staff have done an amazing job under challenging conditions, and even if things slip on occasion, they act swiftly and cheerfully to put right. Nothing is too much trouble. Dad is pretty well settled (testament to the kindness and commitment of the staff) and I think once he can socialise a little more, he will be happier still.
Thank you for taking the time to write us your review. We are glad that you have had a positive experience so far, even with the difficulties caused by the pandemic. Thank you again for your review.
Did not use the shower. No shelf for soap, shampoo or face cloth. No heat in the wet room. Not confident walking on a wet floor, mirror light artistic but not helpful. Toilet support rail good. Water supply disrupted for boiler repair. Bottle water provided but not hot when delivered. Poor quality breakfast sausage. Would like to see a printed menu for preorder and extras. Room clean and comfortable. I would like to see a senior member of staff on a daily basis when confined to a room. Yes, I would stay here again. Total score 8/10
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. I will certainly pass this on to the manager. Thank you for choosing us for your care.
She enjoys the food in the restaurant and seems happy with the carers, and the nurses.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, we are so grateful for you taking the time to do so. We are so pleased to hear that your Mum is well settled, and she is enjoying her time with us. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to ensure her stay is as comfortable as possible.
The home is in lockdown now. I communicate with my sister by post, sending the occasional magazine. The staff at Hazelmere send frequent newsletters and I speak to them over the telephone as required. They are clearly following guidelines and they keep me informed about my sister's health issues as time goes by. Over the years I have found the changing staff to be caring and friendly and my sister has seemed comfortable and relaxed.
We really appreciate receiving your kind review. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this incredibly difficult time. We are so pleased to hear that your Sister is comfortable in our care.
Mum has settled in very easily, and she cannot praise her care and support highly enough. She feels very much at home!

We are so pleased to hear that your Mum has settled into our home easily and that you can feel at ease knowing she is in our care. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do for you and your family.
My mother went into Hazelmere Jan 21. She was welcomed in and treated with care and dignity. Management and staff alike were excellent. My biggest fear was with regards to the food, but to my surprise, my mother had nothing but praise for it. Would recommend Hazelmere to any family.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so happy to hear that your Mum felt she was treated with care and dignity. I will certainly pass her compliment on to the chefs about the food!
My father was admitted to this care home from hospital in August 2020 and because of the Covid restrictions I have not been able to enter the home. At first we were allowed window visits and my impression of his room was that it was very attractive, comfortable and well-appointed. Dad was always cheerful when we visited and happy with the care he received. He was very weak when admitted and had severe problems with eating, but the staff were extremely patient and considerate and he gradually improved. I cannot fault the care and attention he has received since and the staff have kept me fully informed of his condition. We now have regular FaceTime calls set up by a member of staff and Dad is always delighted to see me and can't get over the wonders of modern technology. He does not get up at all now, but enjoys reading his daily newspaper and watching the television. Staff also spend time chatting to him.
We thank you sincerely for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so glad dad has shown gradual improvement in our care, and that you are happy with the care and attention he receives - our residents mean everything to us!
Yesterday I was allowed to stay with my aunt for the 1st time in 3 months and was overwhelmed with the level of attention and professionalism the care home provides. The staff were truly excellent and a real asset to the care home. They were busy, however, each one displayed a genuine, caring desire to look after residents and provide the best care possible. It was an honour to be allowed to witness such dedication and see true professionals at work - well done team.
Thank you for your kind words. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
Staff all very kind.
We are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the quality of our care. Thank you for the kind comments.
Mum had to self isolate for the 14 days due to the Covid pandemic but we were allowed to do garden visits daily outside her ground floor room. Some care homes were not even allowing garden visits.
The staff were caring and were aware of her food allergy. There was only one issue with this and the manager was accessible to address any concerns or queries.
Obviously, Mum was unable to participate in activities outside her room during her 14 days but had she stayed longer then she would have been allowed to join in group activities and go into the lovely communal areas, one of which has a nice bar! Staff were accommodating despite the Covid restrictions.
One carer, in particular, was very kind and patient with Mum and another tried to encourage Mum with different meals. We would recommend this care home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are happy to hear your mother enjoyed her stay at the home.

Meet the Team (4)

I have worked for Bupa for 5 years. I previously worked in the police force as a communications officer, followed by home care, where I then progressed into care homes and worked my way up to where I am today.
Caring for residents is my passion, and ensuring all their needs are met. I love engaging with families and the team to ensure Hazelmere House is a great place to live and work.
I am married with three grown-up children and a granddaughter who is five. I live in Knutsford, and in my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on walks with our dog, having sunny holidays and socialising with friends!

I've worked at Bupa for 8 years and really enjoy my job and like the company I work for.
I get a lot of job satisfaction helping/supporting the residents, they are wonderful people who have a lot of interesting stories to tell.
Before working at Hazelmere I was a registered mental health nurse at Brookview care home.

My first role here was actually as the maintenance person back in 2011. I'd never even considered becoming the Resident Experience Manager, but when the opportunity came up I was encouraged to apply... and I guess the rest is history, because I've been in love with the role every since.
It's a really diverse and rewarding position. I tend to be involved in a lot of show-rounds and make sure the admissions process runs smoothly. I also support all the hotel services here in the home - they can be so important in making sure people feel comfortable and reassured.
It can sometimes be quite sensitive when people come for a visit so the very least we can give them is a warm welcome and complete honesty. Trusted advice doesn't cost a penny, but it can be invaluable - and from a personal perspective, I really do get a lot of satisfaction from feeling that I'm making a different and making people happier.

I was a registered nurse for 10 years in West Yorkshire, including roles in private nursing homes. I later worked for the youth criminal justice system. I love being back in a care setting; apart from the satisfaction of our team ensuring the home is clean & tidy, I love to talk to residents about their lives and achievements. We have a really friendly atmosphere here at Hazelmere House.
I live locally with my husband, daughter, dog and 2 cats. My two sons come and go as their careers allow. In my spare time, we enjoy listening to live music and going to the cinema & theatre. I keep fit kickboxing with my daughter & lots of dog walks!
