I am a firm believer that "Care is the Cure" and Hazelmere House Care Home have exceeded my expectations on all fronts with regard to the exceptional care they have given my Dad. Having worked in HR, I am always observant of the environment and culture in an organisation and my observations of Hazelmere is it is the culture that makes such a positive difference - they are inclusive, person centred, professional and everyone works as part of a team in a very positive and supportive way with kindness and smiles. This includes how they work with any external parties like the physios, chiropodist, hairdresser and the GP surgery they work with as well. They are also really proactive in finding out what their residents like eg: food and activities and offer a wonderful variety of activities and food as well. My Dad summed up his feeling of being in Hazelmere as "right place right time" and I believe he is being given the best chance of recovery and respite after 6 weeks in hospital.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased to hear that you are impressed with the high standards of care and support provided to your Dad. We are very happy to hear felt at ease with your Dad in our care. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
My lovely mum entered Hazelmere House for palliative care as she was end of life terminal Esopmageal cancer. She was 93 years old from 17th March to 1st April when she died she was treated with care, kindness, compassion, dignity and professional quality of nursing. Each and every member of staff, without exception was wonderful. I chose this nursing home for mum because I consider it to be the best in all areas.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are saddened to hear about your loss of your Mum. We are glad to have helped you and your family through such a difficult time. It is always nice to hear words like "Kindness" and "Compassion" being used to describe our care. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your Mum received the best possible care.
I have been resident at Hazelmere House Care Home for respite, after hospital and surgery, for the duration of 3 weeks, during which time, I have received the best of care and kindness from all staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Hazelmere House Care Home to anyone - for me a very wonderful and fortunate find.

Hazelmere House Care Home is friendly, professional and caring. My mum feels well looked after, safe and happy. The staff are all friendly and clearly care about the residents. It is always pleasant to visit and witness such a lovely atmosphere. My mum has all her needs met and despite her health requiring her to spend most of her time in her room, never feels isolated. Given the number of residents, it is a wonderful achievement. The staff take the time to get to know her. They maintain her dignity at all times and show respect for her as an individual. Communication is excellent on all levels. We are so happy that my mum is there and feel relaxed and reassured that she is getting the best care available.

It is always wonderful to hear words like "Friendly" being used to describe our staff and we hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
My Mum stayed at Hazelmere for respite care for a period of 3 and a half weeks following a knee replacement. Mum was very happy there and treated very well. Every time I visited I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. I would like to thank the Manager for a very well run care home and all the staff who worked very hard making my Mum's stay there very comfortable. I certainly would have no reservations in recommending Hazelmere to anybody who needed it.

Mum really enjoys her stay at Hazemere. She likes her room and with help is quite mobile around the home. Mum appreciates all the staff who she says are really kind and helpful. Close to her heart is food and she thoroughly enjoys all the meals which we have also sampled. A superb Sunday Lunch! She enjoys the camaraderie of many if the guests - but especially enjoys the actives in the afternoon. The games (she is very competitive!), talks and demonstrations are all enjoyed! Perhaps a little more of this in the evening would make her stay perfect. We all appreciate Hazelmere and all the staff.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review for the staff at Hazelmere House Care Home. We are thrilled to hear that your mum has settled in well at the care home and it sounds like she is having the ideal experience! We hope she continues to enjoy her stay!
From the first viewing of Hazelmere House on behalf of my mum, I knew this was going to be home for her. The atmosphere is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The care is outstanding and that for me is a huge comfort, knowing she is safe. Plenty of good food and varied activities each day. The rooms and communal areas are tastefully decorated. Hazelmere is everything I could have hoped for my mum.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
Mum really enjoyed staying at Hazelmere House Care Home - loved the staff, the food and facilities. The only negative comment was that she had her breakfast and supper in her room and not in the dining area - I don't know if this was because she wasn't aware that the facility was open or whether it wasn't open.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear from family members and residents enjoying their stay with us. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service in regard to understanding the dining experience. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your mum received the best possible care.
Able to relax and recover without every day worries. Staff friendly and helpful even when very busy. Food excellent, varied and well prepared. Room is very comfortable and attractive.
Thank you for your kind words. We hope Hazlemere did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Thank you for choosing Hazlemere House for your stay.
Excellent care was provided by all the staff to my father. He passed in January at the age of 101 in familiar and peaceful surroundings. Care and compassion was provided with good grace. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The home is always clean and tidy and the food is nutritious. If there was any care home to recommend, then I would have no hesitation in doing so for Hazelmere.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely comments. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and we are sorry for your loss. We are pleased to know that your Father was looked after and treated with the utmost respect and compassion and that yourselves as a family could feel at ease knowing this. All the best wishes to you and your family.
Hazelmere House is a very special place. Always top quality care from the wonderful staff and management team. The teams of care staff and management are always there when help and advice is needed. My husband is happy to call Hazelmere 'home'. He feels safe and well cared for at all times. Everyone has welcomed my husband and he has made many friends, As his wife, it has helped me to know my husband is settled and safe.
Hello and thank you for leaving such a lovely review for the staff at Hazelmere House Care Home. It is wonderful to hear our care described as "top quality" and we are thrilled that the staff and management are always so wonderful and helpful. It sounds like your husband has had the ideal care home...
Very welcoming, friendly staff, efficient and happy. The food was good, and well presented with a good selection. The rooms were clean and fresh. All my needs were catered for. I would have preferred a shower every day but realise that the staff were extremely busy. I would also have felt safer with a shower stool with a back on but that is really the only negative thing I can say. The quizzes and activities were fun and I am looking forward to my next stay.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is always nice to hear words like "Friendly" and "Efficient" being used to describe our staff and we are pleased to hear that you are impressed with the delicious food, clean rooms, fun activities and the high standards of care...
My Mum has been a resident at Hazelmere for over 2 years now. I could not ask for better care for her, she is always treated with the utmost respect and kindness and her preferences are accommodated. Her medical needs have increased over time and the nursing team have always been on top of all her treatments and medications. She has made friends with the other residents and greatly enjoys going down to lunch every day. When she is well enough to participate, she appreciates the great variety of activities that Home provides every week. The team are always very responsive to any requests and any maintenance issues etc. have been dealt with within 24 hours. The Home is very clean and the meals always look fresh and nutritious. I have no hesitation in recommending Hazelmere to anyone, whether for respite or residential care.

I was so happy at Hazelmere right from the start when I was feeling so weak. I couldn't believe how spoilt I felt, everyone was so kind and helpful. If I do have to return for further care, I will be relieved to know that all will be well. Thank you all for your amazing care.

Delighted with the accommodation for my sister. Her room was clean, airy and well-furnished with a lovely view. Nursing staff were at all times so friendly, respectful and mindful of my sister's ongoing medical concerns. The management team helped throughout the four-week respite period providing support not only for my sister but for myself. Medical guidance was also positive in setting targets for my sister to achieve. I was told that the meals were well balanced and enjoyable and my sister became engaged with some of the social activities once she had settled in. I would recommend the care home to anyone needing its services.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.

Meet the Team (4)

I have worked for Bupa for 5 years. I previously worked in the police force as a communications officer, followed by home care, where I then progressed into care homes and worked my way up to where I am today.
Caring for residents is my passion, and ensuring all their needs are met. I love engaging with families and the team to ensure Hazelmere House is a great place to live and work.
I am married with three grown-up children and a granddaughter who is five. I live in Knutsford, and in my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on walks with our dog, having sunny holidays and socialising with friends!

I've worked at Bupa for 8 years and really enjoy my job and like the company I work for.
I get a lot of job satisfaction helping/supporting the residents, they are wonderful people who have a lot of interesting stories to tell.
Before working at Hazelmere I was a registered mental health nurse at Brookview care home.

My first role here was actually as the maintenance person back in 2011. I'd never even considered becoming the Resident Experience Manager, but when the opportunity came up I was encouraged to apply... and I guess the rest is history, because I've been in love with the role every since.
It's a really diverse and rewarding position. I tend to be involved in a lot of show-rounds and make sure the admissions process runs smoothly. I also support all the hotel services here in the home - they can be so important in making sure people feel comfortable and reassured.
It can sometimes be quite sensitive when people come for a visit so the very least we can give them is a warm welcome and complete honesty. Trusted advice doesn't cost a penny, but it can be invaluable - and from a personal perspective, I really do get a lot of satisfaction from feeling that I'm making a different and making people happier.

I was a registered nurse for 10 years in West Yorkshire, including roles in private nursing homes. I later worked for the youth criminal justice system. I love being back in a care setting; apart from the satisfaction of our team ensuring the home is clean & tidy, I love to talk to residents about their lives and achievements. We have a really friendly atmosphere here at Hazelmere House.
I live locally with my husband, daughter, dog and 2 cats. My two sons come and go as their careers allow. In my spare time, we enjoy listening to live music and going to the cinema & theatre. I keep fit kickboxing with my daughter & lots of dog walks!
