My opinion of my living here is generally satisfactory - it is age that I find a nuisance! Meals get rather boring: all the staff can provide a bit of humour except night staff (just one or two who are sometimes a little brusqite) I cant complain!
Reply from Alison Horridge, Customer Advisor on behalf of the team at The Goldbridge Care HomeThank you for your feedback. We will certainly pass your comments about the night staff and food on to the management team as we strive to provide the best possible standards in our home.

My mother's siblings arranged to visit her. I asked if a sandwich lunch could be arranged for the 5 of them. My aunts and uncle said they had a lovely visit with lots of laughter and reminiscing. The Goldbridge laid a lovely table and the lunch was perfect. My aunt commented on how good the cake was:-)
When
I visited mum a couple of days later, she said she'd really enjoyed their visit and the lunch. Thankyou to everyone who made this a special event for my mum.

From our initial inspection visit to the time my wife left Pendean, the staff in every department were warm, welcoming and exceptionally helpful. It is rare to come across this level of sheer warmth and kindness in any walk of life. My only reservation is the quality of the meals which i think could
be improved. But that is relatively minor in the whole scheme of things and pales into insignificance given the rest of the excellent experience. i would recommend without hesitation.
Reply from Natasha Burns-Leigh, Customer Service Advisor at Pendean House Care HomeWe're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one has been cared for and looked after. We are proud to have such a compassionate team and we're glad this has shone though in your experience. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.

Having had a tumour removed in April 2025 my 2 daughters and son decided I would be looked after in Goldbridge.
Their thoughts have worked out well, as I am flawed with my stay here, in fact, contented sums up my overall feeling. The staff and management seem to look over and I believe a lot goes into
the activities to ensure the residents are well looked after.
Whilst my medical condition is life-changing, I am very well looked after. Thank you Goldbridge.

What Lovely friendly staff, it was so nice to see the lovely Christmas decorations that gave the home a festive feel. Nothing was too much trouble. Was offered refreshments on my visit and staff answered any questions i had which really put my mind at rest, i was pleasantly surprised how many actives
there were on offer and we were made very welcome, it was nice to see the staff and management joining in the activities and were so approachable, some of the areas were a little dated but that didn't take away from the quality of care or the atmosphere which is far more important to me than the furniture. Even though I didn't take them up on the offer of staying for a meal with my family member, the food looked great and plenty to choose from, my relative loved the meals, felt safe and enjoyed his time here. It's a fair distance from where we live but would definitely choose church farm. Distance is no problem to recieve the care and kindness my relative deserves and received.
Reply from Natasha Burns-Leigh, Customer Service Advisor at Church Farm Care HomeWe're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We are thrilled that you were able to join us at the home and that it felt so festive around Christmas time. Providing peace of mind for families is one of our top priorities, so your words mean a lot. It's wonderful to know that you feel your loved one has been well cared for- that's exactly what we strive for. We're pleased to know the meals are hitting the mark! My mum Betty receives wonderful care and this was really apparent at the Christmas party. Church Farm laid on a wonderful Christmas lunch and entertainment which the residents loved.

Whenever we go to the home it has a warm caring atmosphere and there is always activities on offer.

Pendean House Care Home

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Mum wasn't at Pendean for long at all as she went there a very late stage with her terminal cancer and dementia but whilst she was there, she was welcomed and extremely well looked after.

Almost as importantly, my sister and I were also attended to very professionally by the staff. They made the

admission process as straightforward as possible, stayed late well over and above in order to resolve an issue with paperwork that was not their responsibility . They also gave us a lot of reassurance and help with our questions ofer processes. . I understand they worked very closely with wonderful nurses from a cancer charity.

Finally, the most important aspect of Pendean for me is that that they were flexible and pragmatic over accommodating my mum at short notice when we were not able to accommodate her any longer where had been originally envisaged and many other places were not able - definitely people 'you can do business with' as well as being
sensitive, patient and supportive.thank you Pendean

Struggled to find a suitable care home for my friend, who is only 60 years old, following brain tumour surgery, which left her unable to live alone in her home.
I cannot praise all the staff at Pendean enough, for their care, support and kindness, shown both to her, and to us, her friends.
The staff
are really friendly and caring.
No matter how busy they are, they always make time to welcome us & chat.
Brain injuries can cause challenging issues, but Pendean staff really do go the extra mile for their residents - to welcome them and to make them feel at 'home'. There are always lots of activities and everyone is friendly & approachable, with a 'can do attitude'.
Thank you for everything that you are doing to support my Dear friend. I appreciate each & every one of you & all your hard work. I know that my friend is receiving the best care & is in safe hands, which takes away a lot of worry & stress. Thank you all.

My mum's first day at Church Farm, is very warm & friendly. Karen the manager and all the staff have spoken with mum, granddaughter Georgia and myself. making us all laugh. I'm hoping its the beginning of a lovely stay for mum and us (family)
