Church Farm Care Home

We contacted the home to arrange for my wife to be looked after following her discharge from hospital with little notice after a brain operation. This was arranged very swiftly for us by the home and the staff (Sammy) stayed after hours to recieve us later that evening.

Unfortunate timing meant that we were moving house at the time and I needed to unpack and make the home safe.

I just want to say what fantastic staff you have across the board. The kitchen staff, management and everyone else.

It meant that I didn't have to worry about my wife as she was so well looked after. I was able to eat with my wife too and spend time with her around my availability.

If anyone is thinking of receiving care, I couldn't recommend them enough. Very friendly and helpful staff, who couldn't do enough for you.

I was moving home when I had an emergency brain op and couldn't go home for a week until made safe. So aged 60 we paid for care. Im so glad we did.

Plenty of private spaces to sit(for visitors and self), Loads of facilities for kids (visitors), Lovely garden with plenty of comfy seating.

Accross the board you can just tell the staff really care and they cant do enough for residents and relatives.

Manager Karen' s help. Tracey for being grounded and a residents advocate. Liz? for offering to paint my nails, normally works nights. The night staff who got me cereals at 1am with a smile

My daughter came to see this care home whilst I was in hospital. She chose the room and she chose well management made me welcome :)

This afternoon in the large lounge with all the other "clients", we had another party. The chef cooked a delicious carrot cake.

We had a lovely party for Mum organised by the care home. The staff are very friendly and caring. They all say that they truly love Mum, and certainly look after well

My mother has been in the home for 6 wks. I find the staff very helpful & friendly. My major concern is with not being able to see a record of my mum's care. Also her room was full of ants on more than one occasion, of which I had to report. This was not helped by the room not being clean and I can see there still being a problem.

What Lovely friendly staff, it was so nice to see the lovely Christmas decorations that gave the home a festive feel. Nothing was too much trouble. Was offered refreshments on my visit and staff answered any questions i had which really put my mind at rest, i was pleasantly surprised how many actives there were on offer and we were made very welcome, it was nice to see the staff and management joining in the activities and were so approachable, some of the areas were a little dated but that didn't take away from the quality of care or the atmosphere which is far more important to me than the furniture. Even though I didn't take them up on the offer of staying for a meal with my family member, the food looked great and plenty to choose from, my relative loved the meals, felt safe and enjoyed his time here. It's a fair distance from where we live but would definitely choose church farm. Distance is no problem to recieve the care and kindness my relative deserves and received.

The staff are fantastic and very caring. Nothing is too much for them. Would thoroughly recommend to others requiring a care home.

The staff at Church Farm Care Home have worked so hard to accommodate my fathers needs. All the staff are patient and smiling. Residents all seem very happy.

Our dog is also always welcome and loves the doggie treats by the entrance!

Mum says she likes the big TVs. Sammie is lovely - food is excellent. I've found all the staff to be welcoming and helpful.

My mum's first day at Church Farm, is very warm & friendly. Karen the manager and all the staff have spoken with mum, granddaughter Georgia and myself. We are unpacking mum's belongings and making her room comfortable and a lovely homely feeling. Mum has taken her place at lunchtime at the male table, making us all laugh. I'm hoping its the beginning of a lovely stay for mum and us (family)

Church Farm is a very welcoming home with friendly and helpful staff.

The staff have been so good, and my father did need a fair amount of care as he had become very frail. We as a family could not have asked for more, and will forever be in the home and carers' debt for how my father was treated. Thank you.

All the carers and seniors looked after my father and kept him comfortable in his final years and moments. Even singing his favourite songs with him at times.

Our mother was placed at Church Farm Care Home after a short stay in hospital in October 2021. From the family's first visit it became clear that both the care & environment suited her needs, latterly, until her passing in July 2025. Her health was in a slow decline. Always her needs were addressed at every level with regular medical or care assessments which kept the family fully informed. She had long since become a Church Farm family member rather than a resident & was mourned by both family & carers on her passing. The family wishes to give their thanks and gratitude to all 2021 - 2025.

I was initially quite apprehensive and nervous about my grandfather moving into a care home. However, after just a couple of months, I've been really pleased with the level of care he's received (currently he can do most things for himself). He often tells me how friendly and helpful the staff are, and that he enjoys the evening entertainment they often provide.

I have to agree-the staff truly make the place. They always greet you with a warm smile, offer tea or coffee, and are incredibly approachable. Nothing ever seems like too much trouble for them.

A doctor has already visited my grandfather a couple of times and provided treatment, which reassures me that he's in good hands. The care home itself is undergoing some exciting upgrades, but it always looks clean and tidy. His room is relatively spacious, and there's also a comfortable sitting area available for visitors.

Over all I would highly recommend.
