Collingwood Grange Care Home

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
Dad has been at Collingwood Grange for 10 months. He was admitted bed bound, weak and confused. He is now much less confused, no longer bed bound and much better than he was in hospital after his stroke. He is happy and feels safe. He loves the fact the "small brown hairy thing" can visit (my dog watson).

As the daughter of the resident, I love to visit my mother who is a fairly new arrival to your friendly, professionally r-n home. It's very comforting to visit and leave knowing that mum is in the best place to keep her safe and well looked after. The staff are wonderful, starting with the receptionist
and everyone who work so hard to make the residents remaining days a pleasure to be alive.

Puttenham Hill house is truly wonderful and truly deserving of being in Bupas care home of the year final. I had the pleasure in being involved in the judging day when I was asked to send a message of appreciation that was played to my friend in the sweetest way possible and she was very overwhelmed.
They always go above and beyond. The nursing team are skilled and dedicated with a multitued of talents and the care staff do just that, care.
Ali the manager always has time for everyone no matter what is going on and its so reassuring to know my friend is in such good care. Thank you to everyone at Puttenham Hill

My experience of Arbrook House from the moment I was shown around the nursing home was both warm and welcoming. I was very impressed at the high standard of all facilities and cleanliness. The staff have been very attentive and gone out of their way to make my brother feel as comfortable as possible.
Management and nurses have been excellent in keeping me updated about his condition and medication. As my brother is being treated as end of life, the nurses have been excellent in keeping me informed of what to expect. When visiting, we have always been welcomed by staff, telling us where my brother was, either in one of the lounges or in his room, and also offered tea and coffee. It has also been wonderful to be able to join my brother for lunch along with other family members. Another bonus was being able to take our little dog in which has brought great comfort to my brother (and other residents!).

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I cannot speak highly enough of the very warm welcome my very elderly Aunt, myself and wife received when she took up residency at Ashley Park last week. After a long period of living in the same location followed by a period of time in Hospital, naturally we were all concerned about what the future
held, we needn't of been the care, understanding and the ease at which we were made to feel was exemplary. Ashley Park has such a warm feel to it nothing seems to be too much trouble, running through from the Home Manager through the whole team, from encouraging her too become more mobile, joining in group activities, having lost considerable weight providing meals which are increasing her appetite. When we leave after our regular visits we know she is safe and being looked after. Thank-you

Oakcroft House Care Home

from Sara M (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 October 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
During the two years my Mum needed full time nursing care, she was resident at Oakcroft. As a family we felt extremely lucky that a bed had been available when Mum needed one. Oakcroft staff were unfailingly cheerful and proficient, even as Mum's character deteriorated due to vascular dementia and
she was at times abusive. The staff were always warm and friendly, and very capable. The facilities are excellent, with a lovely garden and pleasant conservatory and Mum loved to see the trees which surround the property. I can thoroughly recommend Oakcroft to anyone in need of a nursing or care home.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Ashley Park is a lovely Care home with friendly caring and compassionate staff. My mother reecently stayed at the home for some respite care and was treated with a great deal of respect and consideration.

The Chef spent time discussing with mum, her meal preferences and made a special effort to

encourage her to eat as she has a very small appetite.

The carers are very helpful and responsive and always cheerful and encouraging as are the nursing team who are very conscientious and efficient. The visiting doctor was also incredibly supportive and sorted out some medication requested very quickly.
The Home Manager runs the home very well and is extremely approachable and responsive.
Mum will shortly be returning to Ashley House for a longer stay.

I can't recommend Sutton Lodge highly enough. My brother spent his final four weeks there receiving palliative care, and the staff were simply brilliant. Every single person we met was caring, compassionate, and genuinely lovely - it felt like being part of a family. They supported us as relatives as

Throughout the year that my mum spent at Puttenham Hill House, she was consistently treated with kindness, respect, dignity and compassion. The staff are fantastic and all provide a high standard of care. The nursing home itself has a welcoming and homely feel and is always spotlessly clean. The opportunity
