Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister spent 4 years in Highgate Care Home, and always had excellent care.
The care was personalised to her needs and wants, and the staff showed great patience and kindness in addressing all the issues that she raised.
When she stopped eating and taking her medicine the staff continued to support
her to live, and die, the way that she had chosen.
It really gave her the agency that she wanted.

Manley Court Care Home

from N C (Power of Attorney of Resident) published on 18 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
My daughter's father lived at Manley Court Care Home from August 2023 to February 2026. He has Huntington's disease and needs careful monitoring, correct nutrition and specialist care, but the standard he received was far below acceptable. He was wrongly put on Level 4 food instead of Level 6, causing
significant weight loss. After the manager left in 2024, communication declined, and over the next year he lost more than 10kg without anyone informing me. By February he weighed only 47kg at 1.68m, severely affecting his mobility. His tablet also disappeared from his room. The GP refused to give me access to his medical records despite my Health and Welfare LPA and prescribed medication that had previously caused side effects. He suffered frequent falls, repeated A&E visits and clear effects of staff shortages. His social care team eventually moved him to a more suitable home. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Manley Court for complex needs.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
This is a very caring place where the physical welfare of residents is constantly monitored and the staff genuinely try to create a welcoming atmosphere where residents feel safe and heard.
There are good routines in place that ensure health problems are noticed quickly. The staffing levels are relatively
good, although staff can sometimes be a bit under pressure, there are always enough to cope with a crisis.
The staff work well together, support each other and seem to enjoy their jobs which makes for happier residents too.

The Kensington Care Home

from E H (Son of Resident) published on 12 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
The Kensington responded incredibly quickly when my father suddenly needed to move out of his home of the past 25+ years. All of the staff (and I mean everyone) have taken every step to adapt their care, support and daily routines to help him adjust to his new home. Because of the rushed move, my father
was then immediately offered a better room (more spacious and with much more light) when one became available. Honestly, the rooms are all beautiful - in fact, the whole home is a dream setting.
While I will admit that it has taken my father some time to get used to his new surroundings, I have been so comforted to see him so relaxed, feeling safe and looked after by the carers. The Kensington's environment is a warm and welcoming place and that is a reflection of the amazing individuals that they have employed there, and the culture that has been created and sustained by the management. I could not be more grateful to all of them.
Reply from Alison Horridge, Customer Advisor on behalf of the team at The Kensington Care HomeThank you for your kind words. We are happy we were able to help with such a quick move. We appreciate it can be difficult to settle after an unexpected change so we are happy that he now feels safe, secure and at home with us. Thank you again for your lovely review.

Disappointing with lack of any support or words of condolence after the passing of my mother in February of this year in hospital.
Even when clearing out her room we were not given any support or kind words, still no communication 3 months after her passing.. this was mum's home for over 3 years- she
deserved better.
For the fees charged mum's room was in poor decorative order- curtains were not hung properly (i tried to repair them myself) signs of rodent infestation, water leak stains remained.. not what was to be expected of BUPA's high standards or fees.
Some good, some poorly trained staff to which concerns were raised and apparently investigated.
Nice garden which is the positive at the home.
Reply from Alison Horridge, Customer Advisor on behalf of the team at Clare House Care HomeWe’re very sorry to hear that your experience at our home did not meet your expectations and we have shared your feedback with the senior management team at the home. We take all feedback seriously and remain committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all our residents. If you would like to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to contact the home manager or email feedback@bupa.com.

My mum has been at Clare House since December 2024. She went there as two lifelong friends were also residents. Clare House is a small care home where the staff prioritise the well being and happiness of the residents. It is always the same staff you see on every visit, and they develop a personal relationship
so that the residents feel at home. It has always been a pleasure to visit; everyone says hello, and nothing is too much trouble. Not the smartest care home, but the care is second to none.

Reception very welcoming and happy to see us. The team are kind and patient, coming in to talk and get Gordon to try and get him out of his room for activities. When we request to go in the garden they are always more than helpful with anything we need.
