It is a very pleasant care home. The staff are caring, helpful and cheerful. There are many activities to occupy the residents and craft days to stimulate them. An attractive lounge and a bonus is a library with a good choice of books, DVD's etc. Each season is decorated extremely attractively. The
menu is good, food well cooked and presented. The management is really considerate.

Nairn House Care Home

from Ellen D (Sister of Resident) published on 24 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister moved from the hospital to Nairn House Care Home recently. She was very poorly at the time, but within just a couple of days she had improved remarkably. I put this down to the excellent nursing care she received.

When I first visited Nairn House, the manager, was so confident in the quality

of care they could provide that I didn't hesitate to accept a place for my sister. The home is extremely well run, and every member of staff has been consistently helpful, supportive, and genuinely caring.

I couldn't be happier with the care my sister is receiving, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nairn House to anyone.

I am writing his review with reference to Bupa Clare House Uxbridge. As my partners mother became a resident, prior to her passing. Durling the residency I can only describe my own personal feelings and observations during her time as one of excellent care. The room had obviously been cleaned daily
and the bedding was changed on a regular basis. During my visits staff were frequently attending to her, I can only describe the care as professional, caring and frequent. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home for anyone requiring such needs.

Cleanliness, food, dicipline, management and organization are all good compared to other centers. I just want to give a few observations first: not all resident can enjoy the full range of activities, as each person's needs depend on their health condition. Second: Considering the amount paid, I wish
you would add a physiotherapy session per week it helps and added to their records.
Reply from Natasha Burns-Leigh, Customer Service Advisor at The Kensington Care HomeWe appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It's lovely to know that you found the surroundings here pleasant and well maintained- we want our residents to feel at home from the moment they arrive. This care home has set a good ambience. Nurses, carers and other staff are always working hard, and they are very helpful.
Activities are regularly held. They made residents happy and revived. The excellent activities coordinator is an inspiration.
There is no receptionist at weekend. It would be
better if there's a receptionist on Saturdays and Sundays.

The care nurse Jocelyn has been exceptional with the care of my mother
My mum being of Africa Caribbean descent requires above and beyond grooming
Jocelyn, make sure that my mum's skin is creamed after it's been washed and she make sure she puts grease in her hair and plat her hair for her and takes
care of the grooming of the hair on her face
It gives me great comfort to know that Jocelyn is doing this extra care from her heart

My mum has been resident at Heathland Court since January this year, and though she has few words due to dementia, she often remarks "It's nice here" without exception, the staff have been wonderful - warm, kind and attentive. It's great for all the family to know she is safe and so well cared for.
Thank you to the whole team.

Staff are friendly and helpful. We have observed over the year that staff organized fun days for the service users. The staff also put the names of the service users with photos so that people visiting and looking after them can recognize ther good days and proffesions.

My Mum is very pleased after moving into the Arkley Care Home. The most important thing is that the manager Denisa and all her staff are friendly, helpful, well-organised and caring people who do their best to make the residents feel comfortable and treated with dignity.

On behalf of my father, thank you to Victor, the home manager, Siphetheni clinical dep man, Kamal senior care assistant, Chika unit manager and all the carers who look after the residents are amazing, very caring and loving. I know that my father is well looked after. This is a beautiful care home,
and really and truly it feels like home. I would like to say that the food is also amazing. I would like to give a big, big thank you to Victor and Siphetheni.

Apart from the excellent care my mother is receiving, I wanted to remark on the excellent communication we receive from Abbotsleigh. We received intermittent and very few updates on activities, monies remaining and the recent comms on issues with the new portal. I greatly appreciate all the engagement
information, and the monthly updates on invoices.

The carers and the cleaners are brilliant at Highgate care home, so friendly and always happy to help if you have any questions. They change the nurses all the time which they never used to do.
You used to have the same nurses all the time which was so much better for relatives and patients, you knew
them by name but now there are so many different nurses you are not sure what there name is.
They used to have a system which you could log into to check on how my father was doing or what medication he had taken, which they got rid of, but it was such a good thing to have and need to bring it back.
Reply from Octavian Stanciu, Home Manager at The Highgate Care HomeThank you for leaving us such a positive review. Please rest assured that the new system will be shared with you shortly. See you during your visits. Stay well and safe.

Manor Court Care Home

As NOK of one of the residents I visit Manor Court regularly. There is a happy and relaxed atmosphere where all the residents receive good care and attention. Often activities are arranged, but if not then staff engage with residents and any visitors, and it feels very welcoming. The food always looks
really appetising and there is usually plenty of it too, and the choices offered enables cultural and religious preferences. The nursing care is also very professional and staff work hard to understand and meet the specific needs of all residents.
