Middlesex Manor offers a range of care services within three carefully designed buildings. Care plans are tailored to the needs of the individual and include dementia care, nursing, respite and convalescence care. Care is also offered to those who require palliative care, Parkinson's care and young physically disabled care.

Accommodation features bright and comfortable living areas and bedrooms, designed with comfort and safety in mind. While most bedrooms have en-suite facilities and views of the gardens, all come with a 24 hour call system offering peace of mind. Residents are able to enjoy the large landscaped gardens as well as a greenhouse, herb garden, vegetable patch and tranquil sensory garden.

The chef works hard to reflect the residents’ tastes and preferences in their seasonal menus, making mealtimes an enjoyable part of the home’s day.

A dedicated activity coordinator ensures there are a range of fun and engaging activities available for all abilities such as regular film afternoons, book clubs and painting. Friends and family are encouraged to take part in regular events organised by the home.

It's hard to entrust others to take care of a loved one, but you take the risk hoping that they will give the level of care required. I am very happy with the care provided and the attention to detail. They have restored dignity and joy, and for that I am extremely grateful. I was so proud of the birthday
party the staff and event coordinator, Valentina, organised in October at short notice. They managed to prepare a room with decorations, music and all the fun and fancy required to make a memorable birthday for my loved one. Thank you.
Reply from Alison Horridge, Customer Advisor on behalf of the team at Middlesex Manor Care HomeThank you for your lovely feedback. We are very happy to hear you feel confident in the high level of care your loved one is receiving at Middlesex Manor. We will certainly pass your kind words about the birthday party on to our lifestyle and wellbeing advisers and everyone else that helped organise this event. Thank you again for your kind review.

This care home has set a good ambience. Nurses, carers and other staff are always working hard, and they are very helpful.
Activities are regularly held. They made residents happy and revived. The excellent activities coordinator is an inspiration.
There is no receptionist at weekend. It would be
better if there's a receptionist on Saturdays and Sundays.

It's always pleasant to visit mum. The living room, refrectory and personal rooms are bright and optimistic. Doors are left open, for those more bedbound to see passing staff and visitors. Tea and biscuits is brought round between lunch and dinner which is another opportunity for interaction.
Everyone,
health allowing is brought out of their rooms daily. A special effort is made to include all in the entertainment, cultural and birthday parties. Exercise classes are regular, such as balloon volley ball and chair yoga.
The mood feels calm, though carers are tending all through the day.
The garden parties have been particularly joyful with the sunshine allowing residents to sit comfortably among the flowers.
I am made to feel welcome, as are other visitors, we have a family vibe between us.

My friend has been in the home since November 2024. At Christmas she was in and out of hospital and I thought that she wouldn't pull through. She has been so well looked after by all the staff and has been encouraged to join in activities which I believe has helped her. The home always keeps me informed
on everything (as I am her next of kin) I always get a nice welcome when I go and visit her everyweek, the home looks clean and fresh, also activities going on.

I love the atmosphere very nice. Staff nurses are very friendly and well trained chef is the best. She cooks with her heart and delivers the best food. Activities are very good and there are lots of varieties. Two members of staff in particular are very hard-working girls. When doing Indian festivals
she decorates and provides us perfect flower arrangements, care decoration, pizza making, different games and activities. Carers are good, there are three that I like the most.

This was the second visit to this care home. It presents as a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Staff are pleasant which gives an assurance that your loved one will be cared for in the same manner. Staff are very helpful and they appear to genuinely care.
I genuinely had a good feeling about this place
however, my only negative at this point is that I wished that they would have a 1/52 respite and not two, which appears to be standard policy.

My dad stayed at Middlesex Manor whilst we were unable to care for him for a couple of weeks. We were worried about how he would cope but the staff were really caring and patient and I think that was key. It was great for him to join in some of the activities. He even said himself it wasn't bad and
he quite enjoyed it, which was a great result! We'll definitely consider another stay there when we need care again. The whole family is very grateful to the staff at Middlesex Manor, and we thank them so much for their genuine care and hard work.

My cousin was only here for a short time, he and us were made very welcome. We were able to hand over many details, both written and verbally. They were so kind in the way that they cared for hime and were especially helpful to us when he passed away. Despite being with them a short time it felt like
family, even giving cuddles to us. This is a homely home which I would recommend to anyone. Praise and thanks.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.625)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.625) out of 10 for Middlesex Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 18 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.675 for Middlesex Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (146 Excellents x 5) + (63 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 212 Ratings = 4.675
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.95 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Middlesex Manor Care Home is based on 18 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.95
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 83 registered maximum number of service users is 16.6, which has been reached with 18 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
