I would like to thank all the staff that looked after my Mum for the 14 months whilst in your care. I am truly grateful for the kindness, patience and respect you gave to her especially in her final days. It bought me comfort knowing that she was in caring hands.
I would also like to say how well
the staff supported me through difficult times and how I always felt comfortable with them. They were always transparent supportive and helpful.

I will always have fond memories of them and would like to thank them all for their care and dedication.

After looking at several homes for my
Mother who has Alzheimer's , I found fountain lodge the best . I noticed how caring and professional the staff was and the interaction was fantastic they knew all the residents names . The activity staff make a huge effort with every resident to try and involve
them and to make there day better with so many different things to stimulate them. Management were particularly helpful
To my mother's needs and provided
her with the best location and room which was very spacious and clean and she felt content and happy with. Like home from home. They have a wonderful garden to provide bbq s and fetes in the summer for all residents to enjoy one another's company and make new friends. Catering staff have been wonderful providing mum with fantastic food and yummy cake ! And even a sneaky non alcoholic beverage . James the Maintance man was so willing to help with mum's decor in her room. Overall I can't fault fountain lodge even down to the cleaners .

My father was asked as its February the month of love, what would you love?
He replied saying a steak meal with my family! We would do this weekly, my sister and her husband, my parents, my husband and myself.
Eglantine went above and beyond for him. A three course meal was provided for all 6 of us!
Including wine, tea and coffee.
It was a fantastic experience for him and us. It was lovely to see a smile on his face.
The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious.
Thank you so much for doing this for my father.

Once again the team at The Manor continues to amaze us with their care and the opportunities available to Dad. Having enjoyed all the Christmas activities and visits from village organisations, Dad was thinking January would be quiet. Quite the contrary, he and his fellow residents have absolutely loved
preparing for, and then dressing up in their finest attire for the Hollywood party, as well as celebrating Burns Night and all the regular clubs and events.
We greatly appreciate the individual care Dad receives. He absolutely loves his interactions with every member of staff, and is thriving on the shared humour.
We love popping in and seeing everyone, it is just like visiting family.

I chose Staplehurst Manor Care Home because it had excellent reviews and offered post operative convalescent care. My stay was just for three weeks to help me through the early part of my rehabilitation. From the start I was made to feel most welcome and found the staff to be extremely kind and attentive.
The room was clean and had everything I needed, the food was good and the management team was very approachable and helpful. I would certainly recommend Staplehurst Manor for either a short or longer stay.

Once again the two activities staff have excelled themselves. With the Hollywood walk of fame, dressing up party, with mocktails, dancing, a crooner, and even miniature Oscar statues, for the winners. With the pub quiz afternoons, with the bar open, which have been a great success. Every day there is
something interesting to look forward to. Some days the kitchen help, we make amazing pizzas or shortbread, or even fat and seed balls for the birds.

My mother passed away at the Lodge in January this year. She died of Dementia, frailty and old age. I cannot praise the staff at this place highly enough. I visited many times since my Mum's arrival in May '25 and was always made to feel welcome. They always asked how I was and gave excellent and consistent
care to my Mother always. I would feed her on occasion but I never HAD to and they would ask politely if I could give them some space to change her etc when it was necessary. Really super staff and clearly led brilliantly by Angela and the senior staff and nurses Stella, Wayne and Cynthia amongst others. I even felt at home there and I know Mum had the best care that she could possibly have had. I'd looked after Mum at home after my Dad passed 2 years previously and then it got too much for me (and it was unsafe for me to continue at home because she eventually refused to be washed by me and follow instructions by me to keep her safe) and Angela happily agreed to have her there.

My mum went into Broad Oak Manor back in July 25. The family put her in on Mum's request, as she was no longer able to cope in our family home, living there on her own, so she went into respite.
I can say it was the best thing we did for her, she was completely changed woman, so much happier and she
made friends with other patients and with all of the brilliant staff, who are all so very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately my mum passed away on the 4th Jan. but she enjoyed six happy months in the care home.

We did have quite a few issues initially with laundry which now seems to have resolved itself, but at the time was very stressful. Whilst the food is very good and nutritious and care is taken when presented to residents - it does seem that what is advertised is often not what is served to residents
and sometimes it is not just one course but all three - which is disappointing especially when you discuss prior to dinner what the person is going to be eating on that day. On one occasion my father was given a corn beef sandwich despite the fact he is a pescatarian- when we enquired about it a response by one staff member was "he chose it". We did feel that we needed to point out that my father had dementia and although he might have chosen it he would not really know what it was and felt that more care could have been shown in terms of encouraging a different choice. As a consequence the sandwich was not eaten which meant he didn't have lunch as he didn't like it.

My wife has been a resident at Warren Lodge since March 2024 and transferred from one of the more modern homes, which looked more like a boutique hotel with a dementia care facility within a generalist care home. Whilst I was initially unsure we had made the right decision to move her, I soon realised
it was not so much about the building and services, but about the care the resident receives. Overall my wife receives a good standard of care, there are some that just do the job, but the majority do go the extra mile in looking after the residents. The fact it is a specialist dementia care home is also a plus. She is looked after very well and a special mention goes to the ladies in the activity team who do spoil her with pampering (hair and nails etc). She also gets her hair cut and coloured by the homes hairdresser regularly which makes her feel better. The food is of a good standard and I often samply it myself. I feel confident that my wife is in good hands when I'm not around.
