Broad Oak Manor Care Home

Our dad was a resident of Broad Oak Manor from August 2025 to January 2026. The care he received was amazing and as a family it was so comforting knowing he was safe and well looked after. All the Staff Members genuinely care for the residents and they go above and beyond their duties to ensure that the residents and family are happy. There is a real family feel to the home. The food was also very good and always something available whatever the time of day. There was always activities going on if the residents wanted to participate and the grounds were kept well, so nice to sit outside and enjoy the sun and an ice lolly.

My wife is still getting use to the home but has made friends with some of the residents.

My father has also said he is very happy with the quality of the food provided and the regular activities.

I can say it was the best thing we did for her, she was completely changed woman, so much happier and she made friends with other patients and with all of the brilliant staff, who are all so very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately my mum passed away on the 4th Jan. but she enjoyed six happy months in the care home.

They also help keep their mobility going with fun exercises

The food can be a school dinners, but you can ask for specific items, if they fall within the budget. The staff are usually helpful and well intentioned. I normally entertain myself and am not bothered with activities, but there are dedicated members of staff who organise activities, since local government pay for me, I don't know about value for money

When it was Mum's 100th birthday last year - staff pulled out all the stops to make it a special and memorable event for Mum. High praise for all the staff.

Since moving into Broad Oak Manor my aunt has made many friends among the residents and staff. She has settled well. Everyone is caring and considerate of her needs. I cannot praise them highly enough.

My uncle was treated with dignity and respect by the nursing and care team at Broad Oak Manor Care Home. I simply cannot praise their professionalism and compassion highly enough. In particular, the nursing care my uncle received was very impressive and gave me peace of mind. I knew he was in exceptionally capable hands and I deeply appreciated the time they took to keep me informed. I was very impressed by the range of activities for the residents. On my uncle's birthday, it was touching to see the lengths to which the team went to mark the day. It was deeply appreciated. The leadership and administration are second to none. Without hesitation, I would recommend Broad Oak Manor.

My mum spent four very happy years at Broad Oak Manor. She was treated with dignity, compassion and respect. She was a private individual and her desire to be quiet at times was appreciated. However, she was also encouraged to take part in the many activities that were organised and she had lots of fun doing so. The staff were always kind and we saw numerous examples of how fond they were of her. She, and we, regarded them as her second family. The nursing care she received was excellent and we always felt she was in very safe hands. I would have no hesitation in recommending Broad Oak Manor to anyone, who is looking for residential nursing care for a loved one.

My mum is a lot better in herself and happier and looks so healthy now she is eating now and more mobile. I can go on holiday now knowing she is safe and in good hands.

She always told us how lovely the staff were. This was important to us all and a great comfort in her last days. Every member of staff from the management team to carers, nurses, kitchen staff, and cleaners has treated her like a member of their own family. We can't thank Broad Oak enough for everything. We feel so lucky to have found such a great home for my Grandma in her last years, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

As Mum viewed Broad Oak as her home we were delighted that the home allowed Mum to make her final journey from the care home, we cannot speak highly enough of the care Mum and the family received.

My three brothers and I are so delighted that we were able to find such a terrific care home for our mother (particularly given the circumstances in 2020 and my mother’s physical and medical needs) - it is such a great comfort to us to know that she is happy.

Outstanding care given to Mum by all the staff. The home is always clean, the staff polite, helpful, happy and have time to spend with the residents never appearing to have to rush. The activity coordinators do lots of one-to-one activities with those who are bed-bound. The home always has a bright and happy atmosphere.

Our family is very pleased with the care and attention given to the residents. We have no complaints we find the care team very approachable and friendly. Always willing to answer any questions and queries.

From the first day my mother arrived, she was treated with great respect. All the staff at the home made her feel welcome and soon all learnt her name. The food is excellent. The activities are good fun for the residents and keeps their minds active. I can't say enough about the staff they are all excellent and very friendly. My mother loves it at Broad Oak Manor Care Home and we can relax knowing my mother is safe and being well cared for.

We were very impressed with Broad Oak Manor Care Home. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived, the staff were friendly and efficient and the home is very clean and tidy. Our Mum’s room is very nice and she is very happy.
