The gardens are beautiful and are kept immaculate, the residents all have the opportunity to sit outside when the weather permits. Mum particularly enjoys watching the squirrels and birds. The activities and entertainment is fantastic - there always seems to be something going on and all of the residents are encouraged to join in.
We didn't have any experience with nursing homes and visited a few before choosing Eglantine but I really feel that my Mum is in the best place and is receiving the very best care.

Hello - my name is Bryony John and I am the home manager at Eglantine Villa. I started working for Bupa in 2012 as an admin assistant and then stepped up into a financial administrator role. Over the years I developed an interest in the different positions available with Bupa and found that I had a passion for care and how it can make a difference in people's lives.
Having gained experience I then took up a deputy manager role supporting a home caring for people with nursing needs. I became a home Manager in 2020 and now manage Eglantine Villa alongside a fantastic team of carers, nurses, heads of department and support staff.
My favourite part of my job is meeting new people, hearing residents' life stories, alleviating worry from families and watching how our residents can flourish in our care. I love that there is variety in every day and I genuinely look forward to coming to work every day, I would never do anything else.
Outside of work, I love travelling to new countries, spending time with my family, and friends, going out for walks and listening to music.
