My aunt moved to Eglantine Villa in February 2021 (lockdown). The staff have all been very helpful, friendly and efficient. They seem to have made an effort to really get to know my aunt and to understand her needs. I have always been made welcome and my visits have always been managed efficiently e.g. PPE, test etc.
Thank you for your review. We are so happy to hear that you feel Aunt has been welcomed so well by everyone at Eglantine Villa's and that you feel safe when you visit.
My Grandmother has been in Eglantine for over a year, and I couldn't be happier with the care she has received. The staff have been wonderful with her, both in her care and understanding of her Dementia. The home has been brilliant throughout the Covid 19 Pandemic, they have done everything they can to protect the residents, and this shows! Eglantine really is a great Care home.
Thank you for sharing your lovely words with us. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us your kind review. We are so pleased that you're happy with the care your Grandmother is receiving in Eglantine Villa. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do for you and your family.
It was extremely hard to accept that my father needed 24/7 residential care due to Alzheimer's in December 2020. However, I am now convinced that this really is the best place for him to get the care he needs both physically and mentally as he copes with this terrible condition. Staff are consistently cheerful, kind, helpful and genuinely caring and through encouragement and gentle persuasion to eat and drink have managed to reverse his ongoing weight loss. Every day they help him to answer my video calls on the iPad which has been important for both of us in order to maintain meaningful contact and 'see' each other throughout these difficult times. Any queries are answered promptly and staff seem very settled and regular which is important for Alzheimer's patients who cannot cope with change; obviously a reflection on the excellent management at Eglantine. I'd like to thank all of the staff for giving me peace of mind by looking after dad not just as a 'job' but with real care!
We cannot thank you enough for taking your precious time to leave such a detailed and wonderful review. We certainly appreciate how difficult it can be to make the decision to move a loved one into care, and we are so glad you can see that our home is the best place for him with his Alzheimer's. We...
Our very close family friend recently passed away at Eglantine Villa after being a resident there for nearly 4-years. I wanted to express my gratitude to all staff members for their exceptional care and dedication. It has been a very challenging time in these unprecedented circumstances, but the staff did everything in their power to help us through. A big thank you to the manager for allowing me to be with our loved one until the end. All the staff at Eglantine Villa are amazing!
We really appreciate your lovely comments, thank you so much for sharing your kind words with us. We are so sorry for the loss of your family friend. Our thoughts are with you all, please accept our condolences.
I am extremely impressed with the way the staff at Eglantine Villa have made it possible for me to visit my friend during the pandemic. I know how difficult this time has been for the staff to accommodate our needs but they have done an amazing job to make this happen. Thank you for everything you all do, all the time.
Thank you for your really kind words, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave us your lovely feedback. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do.
Myself and my sister sadly found ourselves in a tough situation in finding a care home for our dear mum, in Sept 2020 and during the pandemic. We cannot thank all the staff at Eglantine for all their reassurance, kindness and patience they give to us both as well as their genuine care, understanding of her health needs, her character and love they give to mum. Nothing is too much trouble. We are kept up to date of any concerns of mum, needs or likes and dislikes, her general health as well as dealing promptly of any concerns we have had, mums settling down period. Their workload has increased tenfold during the pandemic, lack of visiting and restrictions of activities, hairdresser etc but have always put their residents first and keep them safe and covid free as well as dealing with their needs. The staff are always friendly and upbeat and mum is treated as part of their family.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we really appreciate your kind feedback. We are so pleased to receive your compliments for our home. We hope your mind is at ease with your Mum in our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and your family.
I called the BUPA line to enquire about the care homes that you offer. I spoke to a very nice man, then a few weeks later called him again as I had to seek help to place my dad in a care home asap as I could no longer look after him at home. He was so kind and explained to Eglantine Villa, before he put me through, what my problem was. I was put through and from then on, all the staff that I spoke to were professional and rung straight back. We took Dad the next day and the staff all came out to greet us with all Covid rules in place, then we filled in paperwork and left. The next day the senior carer rang with an update and so did the nurse, they are so kind and put me at peace. The other ladies and gents who are looking after Dad are also very kind and caring. The nurse whose name I don't know rang to update me about his blood pressure today was also very nice and reassuring, so Dad is in the best place and I am sure will only thrive with the care he is receiving.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us some feedback, and we are so thankful for your lovely words. We will pass your kind comments onto our Customer Care Team and those at Eglantine Villa. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do for you and your family.
My mother has recently passed away in Eglantine Care Home. She had the most fabulous care during her stay for three months. The staff during her stay and at the end of her life were outstanding. Their care and compassion shown to her were second to none. I would like to sincerely thank all the staff involved with my mum for all their efforts during a very tough time of Covid-19.
We are very sorry about your loss. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
I am an 18-year-old lad who visits my grandmother and I can say hand on heart I also feel so welcomed there when visiting her by all the staff especially as I am reasonably young in that environment. The staff always make sure I am comfortable in the circumstances. Those staff work their socks off too. BUPA are lucky to have these people.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words, we really appreciate receiving your positive feedback. We are so pleased that you are happy with the care we are providing for your grandmother. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do for you and your family.
The staff are absolutely amazing in this nursing home, we as a family cannot fault anyone or anything. The staff go over and above their duties to care for our relative. The activities staff ensure a full programme is in place at all times.
Thank you for sharing you lovely review with us, we really appreciate it. We are so pleased to hear that you are fulfilled with the care we are providing.
Was very worried about putting mum into a home. So pleased we chose Eglantine Villa. Every single member of staff have gone above and beyond to make sure mum is cared for in the best possible way. My only complaint is the laundry side where things have gone missing.
We are very happy to hear you are satisfied with the quality of our care. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
Can not fault the staff for care they have given to my wife, more so at this difficult time.
Thank you for trusting us with your wife's care. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
My Mother was extremely well looked after by all the members of staff. She felt very secure and had a great deal of faith in all the carers. My only bad point was that her room and toilet were not always very clean.
Thank you for trusting us with your mothers care. Hopefully, you can go away from this feeling like she received the best possible care. We will certainly pass your comments on to the manager.
Our father has resided here from the middle of December 2019 and has settled in really well. All the staff have made him and our family feel very welcome during our frequent visits. The set-up is excellent and Dad feels at home amongst his new “neighbours” with the staff doing all they can to ensure everyone’s needs are met and provide a clean, safe and happy environment. The food provided is excellent quality and they appear to put on regular entertainment for the residents to enjoy (especially the artists singing all the old songs they relate to!) Relieved to have secured a place at this excellent residence.
Thank you for trusting us with your fathers care and for taking the time to leave such amazing feedback.
I am extremely pleased/happy with the care and support in this care home. I definitely do not have any complaints and I'm so happy to leave my mother as she's receiving excellent care at all times, with utmost respect and dignity.
Thank you for your praise. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for trusting us with her care.
Staff at The Villa have always been polite and professional. Always spoke and knew who you had come to see. All staff had a caring, loving nature towards my Nan. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble Couldn't fault them!
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your grandmother in our care. Thank you for trusting us with her care.
My dad spent his last weeks at this care home when he left hospital. Oh my. Where do I start? Well, all I can really say is OUTSTANDING care provided to my dad and to me at the end. Staff went above and beyond to make sure Dad had everything he needed to make him comfy from start to finish. Absolutely amazing.
Thank you for your kind words. We are saddened to hear about your loss. We hope our care home did everything possible to help through such a difficult time.
Thank you!
Thank you for your feedback. We hope Eglantine Villa care home did everything the can to make the transition as easy as possible. We really appreciate your lovely praise and please let us know if we can do anything to make your sisters stay as comfortable as possible.
In my opinion, Eglantine Villa has been the right home for my beloved Sister. The staff - The management, nursing, care, kitchen reception, house care, maintenance and gardening teams have all been excellent! The home is calm and for the most, quiet. My Sister has been treated with respect, kindness and great care in all aspects. As a family member, I have been looked after and given clear explanations from the nurses about my darling Sister's treatment and continuing care. The home is set in a beautiful setting away from noisy traffic! The whole team are very professional in every way but are also very upbeat and fun for our Sister to be with. I would recommend Eglantine wholeheartedly.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always lovely to hear from our residents' families. We are glad to hear that you feel your sister was well looked after and we are thankful you chose to trust Eglantine Villa with her care.
Eglantine Villa and its members of staff have all been truly amazing and caring to our darling Sister. All staff have shown great respect, given amazing care, have been kind and loving and have made our darling Sisters time here more bearable. Not only do they show their care for their residents, they have also shown our family great care and kindness too. They look out for everyone. The atmosphere inside the villa is most inviting, with a good feel of everyone being happy and willing to help at all times. They are all excellent at what they do in each department and make an excellent team.
Thank you Charmaine for such a glowing review. We are happy to hear that you and your sister could feel a part of our Eglantine family.

Meet the Team (5)

Hello - my name is Bryony, and I am the home manager at Eglantine Villa. I started working for Bupa in 2012 as a care assistant before moving into admin roles. In 2018, I knew that my real passion was for care and how it can make a difference in people's lives, so I did some additional training and became a deputy manager at a 100-bed care home supporting those with nursing and residential needs. I became a home manager in 2020 and have now managed Eglantine Villa since 2022 alongside a fantastic team of carers, nurses, heads of department and support staff.
My favourite part of my job is meeting new people, hearing residents' life stories, alleviating worry from families and watching how our residents can flourish in our care. Our residents become part of our family, and I’m really proud of the service we provide. I genuinely love my job; there is variety in my role, and I laugh every day with my team and residents. I would never do anything else.
Outside of work, I love travelling to new places or countries, spending time with my family and friends, going out for walks and listening to music. I’m a proud, fun Auntie to 4 gorgeous nieces and nephews and have a French bulldog, Beau, who you may sometimes see at Eglantine Villa, enjoying lots of attention (and biscuits!) from the residents.

I joined Bupa as a clinical deputy manager in 2025.
My career in the care home sector spans 15 years, beginning as a carer before progressing to deputy manager in 2016. After three years in that role, I took time out to return to education and completed my nursing degree at the University of Greenwich. Following this, I returned to the care home environment, once again stepping into the deputy manager position.
Working in care services gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day. I am passionate about caring with kindness and empathy, learning from others, and feeling fulfilled through the work I do. I also take great pride in mentoring those who are new to care and seeing them grow into confident leaders within the sector.
Outside of work, I am married with two children—a boy and a girl—and I treasure spending time with my family, who mean everything to me. I enjoy listening to music and travelling, and I live locally to the home.

I’ve been part of Bupa for over five years, beginning my journey as a kitchen assistant before stepping into my current role as chef manager. My career started in the hospitality industry, which I found both rewarding and enjoyable, but I reached a point where I wanted something more meaningful.
When the opportunity arose to join a care home, I realised it was a chance to explore a new direction—one where I could see the impact of my cooking every day. Getting to know the residents, hearing their stories, and working closely with the care team has given me a sense of purpose that I don’t believe I would have found anywhere else.
I enjoy the positive working environment here. Our home manager is always supportive, and we work well together as a team. The home’s location also suits me, allowing me to balance my responsibilities at work with my life as a devoted husband and father of three beautiful daughters.
I moved to the UK from Jamaica, and I’ve never had any regrets about taking that leap. Outside of work, I’m a big football fan—Arsenal is my team—and I’m genuinely passionate about what I do. Living locally helps me stay closely connected to both my family and the home.

I have been the senior activity coordinator for a year, having previously worked as a carer here at Eglantine for a year before moving into activities. I am a mum and a former preschool practitioner, so caring comes naturally to me. I have always had a passion for events, creativity and bringing joy to others. After spending time as a stay?at?home mum, Eglantine felt like the perfect place to return to work—both for my family and for myself.
I feel genuinely privileged to work in a care home setting and to be a constant presence in our residents’ lives. Having the opportunity to enrich their days and support their well-being is something I hold a deep passion for, and I pride myself on always going the extra mile.
My greatest passion and achievement in life is my family. Raising my six children and encouraging them to become confident, capable and kind adults has been the greatest honour. My friends also mean everything to me; I lost my mum at a very young age, and my friends have been my strength and constant support throughout my life.
I love all things dramatic, especially West End shows and events. I live fairly locally to Eglantine and am committed to helping build strong, meaningful connections between our wonderful home and the local community.

I joined the home at the end of 2025 and quickly settled into my role. My career with Bupa began back in 2011, when I worked as a receptionist at another Bupa home until 2018. After gaining further experience elsewhere, I’m delighted to have returned to Bupa in a role I truly enjoy.
Before entering the care sector, I owned my own public house, followed by a haulage business that I ran with my husband. In 2011, I made the move into care as a nursing home receptionist, later progressing to an administrator role with another company. My background in customer service, administration and community-focused work naturally led me back to Bupa, where I’m pleased to continue supporting residents, families and colleagues.
What I enjoy most about working in care is the residents. Every day brings new conversations, stories and the chance to meet different people, which makes the role incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, I’m married with two grown-up children. I enjoy motor sports, reading, and meeting up with friends. I live just four miles from the home, which helps me stay closely connected to the community.
