Overall Experience

My mother came to Croft House for end of life care after a traumatic 6 weeks in hospital. From then on a cloud lifted from us as family. She was made as comfortable as possible and her pain was managed as well as it was able. Nursing and caring staff were extremely attentive and supportive to us as

a family member going through a traumatic event. Our mother was able to pass away in dignity and peace.

Overall Experience

Croft House is a small, warm care home. Staff are very focused & retained. Activities are to cover all, and outings are well run & supported. A good facility.

Overall Experience

After a very upsetting stay at a previous home, we are delighted with the care, attitude, help and friendliness from all the staff in Paxman house, since my mother in law moved in a few weeks ago. Everyone we have spoken to, from the reception, and office staff to all the care and nursing staff has

been so helpful.The food is lovely, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The cleanliness is good, and the facilities are also good. My Mother in law has just had her hair done in their salon, and was so happy after it. She is back to enjoying her food, and just generally seems to be in a much better place, than she has been for a while.They also have great activities for the residents to take part in, if they wish to do so. It also seems a safely run home, and seems to be secure at all times.We attended a meeting yesterday for Residents/visitors etc, and again were very happy with the way everything was explained to us by the staff, would recommend to anyone.

Overall Experience

Mum has been here a few years now and has received very good care. The staff are lovely and caring and always listen and help when I need to speak to them. There is always a nurse around when you need to speak to one who will listen to your concerns and address them. The food mum receives is always

nicely presented and fresh. The staff give me peace of mind with mum being here as I feel happy knowing she has some great people looking after her.

Overall Experience

Not an easy form to complete.
I visit my friend twice weekly and find most staff very pleasant. I think they are getting to understand my friend now, being unable to move unassisted, she can get very frustrated and has been misunderstood in the past! However, 4 months later, all seems to be fine and

the staff dismiss that now and are really kind. I found the food/drink difficult as I have never seen the meal; she is on a S.A.L.T. diet.

Overall Experience

My mum was admitted to Colonia Court for an initial four-week stay, which has since been extended while her ongoing needs are assessed. From the start, the day staff have been wonderful - kind, caring, and respectful towards mum and also myself and my sister.
Even though she is only a temporary resident,

she has been encouraged to join in with activities including themed cultural days, playing bingo and board games and a Rock and roll themed party. She has also been taken to the café at Waitrose.
The attention and care she has received have made a noticeable difference to her health. Simple things like eating and drinking regularly and having her hair done have helped her feel brighter and become more engaged. She now spends her days interacting with other residents and participating in activities, which has improved her quality of life.
I am very happy with the care she is receiving and have peace of mind that she is in a safe and supportive environment.

Overall Experience

We visited the care home on 20th August 2025 to take part in a small celebration for my sister's 90th birthday. Both my wife and I thought that the staff helped to make the occasion special. Guests attending the party were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Teas and coffees were made throughout the

event and help was on hand with passing round the sandwiches and cakes provided by my niece. Our experience on the day reflects the feeling we have had on a number of visits to Colonia Court that the staff provide an excellent level of care to my sister and to my brother-in-law who is also a resident, doing so with good humour, compassion and professionalism. The Lawns for my postoperative respite care provided a positive, helpful, caring atmosphere. Overall Experience

A big concern of ours when we made the hard decision that our dear mum needed proper permanent care. We could not have wished for a better place for her (Mumford House) the staff are great and so good with mum and she is well looked after. The food is also good and tasty and served at regular times.

Her room is comfortable and safe, and she is slowly settling in after a couple of months. It puts our minds at rest now knowing she is safe and well cared for every day.

Overall Experience

I have visited for many years. Always met with a smile and friendliness. Most residents I have visited are very happy. (There are always a few who would not be happy wherever they were!) made to feel welcome by the staff, and depending on the time of day, a cup of tea or coffee with a smile. Activities

are good and frequent, with outings or visits from entertainers for many afternoons.

Overall Experience

All staff are most diligent in caring for my mother. She feels reassured that her daily requirements are met in a timely and caring manner and more importantly, that she is listened to by all the staff she comes in contact with.
As a family we are all confident that Mum is well looked after and that

she feels safe and secure and that her dignity is respected.
We feel that we can trust the staff to care for our Mum as if she was their own mother, it is a great comfort to us.

Overall Experience

Since my mother-in-law has been a resident at Hutton Villave Care Home, she has become a new person. When she was living at her home, she was lonely, but Hutton Village has given her a new lease of life with the wonderful daily activities and constant care.
She loves the environment and the interaction

with other residents.
Since she has been in Hutton Village, we have been able to relax knowing she is looked after.

Overall Experience

My dad is 94, still living at home. For a couple of months he had been very poorly, which resulted in a couple of hospital stays. Not living close by, we discussed some convalescence care for him following his discharge from hospital. From my very first telephone chat with a member of staff at the Bupa

contact centre, we knew The Lawns would be the best place for him to recuperate. At very short notice, they organised a stay for him and went to visit him at home to put a plan in place. Everyone in the team has been amazing, the food beautiful and the care extremely compassionate and friendly. I send my heartfelt thanks to everyone for helping my dad to get his 'oomph' back and for allowing me to rest a little easier knowing he was in excellent hands.

Overall Experience

Mum is 99 and after a couple of stays in hospital was unable to return home. Mum has now been at The Lawns Nursing Home for 3 weeks and our initial impressions are very good. Everyone seems patient, attentive, caring and friendly. The manager is available if needed and there is always a friendly face

at the nurses station to answer any queries.
They regularly check to ensure she is ok. Initially she was unable to eat solid food so the meals were pureed but presented really well. She is now able to eat properly and the variation of meal choices are excellent and all freshly prepared.
