I experienced many obstacles and complications with a previous care home my Dad was staying in, The manger and team from The Lawns were very supportive and helpful in the situation I was facing. With the help and support from the team particularly the Manager eventually managed to get my Dad to The
Lawns, my dad instantly became relaxed and, happier and more importantly 'Cared For'!

The prices have increased in a disproportion to the services provided the food quality has fallen since now providers are being used seems like profit over care.

Our mum has mixed Alzheimer's and vascular dementia and has been in respite care at Hatfield Peverel Care Home for the past three weeks. She has a lovely room with views over the gardens, she has enjoyed all the lovely activities and her meals. She was very nervous of being in respite care but has
seemed happy and relaxed throughout her stay. All the staff have been absolutely wonderful and we felt confident that our mum would be happy and safe during her stay here. My sister and I visited many care homes in the area before settling on Hatfield Peverel Care Home which was by far the best. The rooms were all lovely but the main selling point was the staff! They are all wonderfully caring and friendly and nothing seemed to be too much bother. We were always able to speak to someone if we were at all worried which was very comforting.

My Mother stayed at the Lawns of three weeks of respite care whilst I made a visit to my daughter in Florida.
The nursing care my Mother received was excellent. The carers were very professional and attentive making my Mother feel very safe and calm and very well looked after.
The local management team
were extremely helpful in arranging the stay.
Choosing the Lawns proved to be an excellent decision.

My mother went to Hatfield Peverel Lodge Care Home on 2/2/26 and sadly passed away peacefully on 12/4/26. At all times, the management and all staff were caring and helpful to both mum and me. They cared for mum with dignity right to the end. Her last day was so peaceful. I'd like to thank everyone
at Hatfield Peverel for their total empathy and care for Mum in her last days.

After visiting this home for over a year I can definitely say that my brother is cared for in a safe and clean environment, he is well looked after by staff who put his dignity and support foremost, everyone is friendly that we have met and pays interest in not just my brother (Stephen) previous life
but the family, so it all fills me with confidence.

My daughter has been a resident of Colonia Court Care Home for almost 3 years. In that time, my wife and I have only seen love and care shown to all the residents. Everyone of the staff show a level of care which is second to none, sometimes in very challenging situations. The unit at Amber Lodge is
led by a very caring and experienced manager. We would highly recommend this care home to anybody who is looking for a safe and caring environment for a loved one.

I went into The Lawns for some convalescence and to rest and recover some strength while further investigations into my illness were conducted. The staff, from management, nursings, caring, catering, were without exception friendly courteous and professional. I was very sorry that I wouldn't see them
any more when I returned home. I would recommend The Lawns unreservedly to any prospective residents. They will be treated with dignity and every consideration.

While we couldn't be with him we knew he was getting the best care he could have. When we were with him

Ww feel that the staff at Hutton Village are very caring and professional - the home is very clean and well looked after - there are lovely gardens - the activities are well planned and enjoyable and happen every afternoon. We feel confident because the nursing staff oversee everything and are very

When you enter the home, you are greeted by Margaret, who is a very pleasant lady. We have a laugh with her, just like all the staff, but being efficient at the same time. Ruth runs a good ship; everyone is there to help.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support my mother has received at this care home.
From the very beginning, the staff have shown kindness, patience, and professionalism during what has been a very difficult and distressing time for our family. My mother has advanced dementia and complex
needs, and the team have consistently treated her with dignity, compassion, and respect.
The staff are calm, attentive, and highly skilled in managing challenging situations. They have communicated clearly and regularly with me and are willing to listen and respond thoughtfully to my concerns about Mum. It is clear that they care about the residents as individuals, get to know them and are aware of their needs.
When my mother's issues escalated, the care home acted promptly, involving specialist services and ensuring she received the support she required. This gave me great confidence that her safety and well-being were their priority at all times. Thank you for giving me peace of mind.

Very efficient staff enabling us to book mother in law in to The Lawns following a partial hip replacement. She only stayed 2 weeks but the help was invaluable for her recovery. All round very good!

As a resident living with a spinal cord injury, I have had a very positive experience at this care home. The staff clearly understand the complexities of spinal cord care and consistently provide support with professionalism, skill, and respect.


My dignity, independence, and personal routines are

always respected. Staff are attentive to pressure care, positioning, and timely assistance, and I am listened to and involved in decisions about my care.


The home is exceptionally well led under the leadership of Chris, whose commitment to high standards and compassionate, person-centred care is reflected in the quality and consistency of support provided.


The environment is clean, calm, and well organised. Living with a spinal cord injury brings daily challenges, but this home has made them easier to manage. I feel safe, supported, and respected, and I would confidently recommend this care home.

Mum came to Croft House in July 2025 following serious illness leaving her bed bound. With the help and encouragement of staff she is now able to walk small distances. She is an active participant in the carpet bowls and has enjoyed much of the entertainment visiting the home. She enjoys the food and
loves that all the staff will stop for a chat or friendly word. All of the staff go above and beyond and are quite happy to multi task if necessary. From a personal point of view, I am now after quite a few years, able to visit my mum as her daughter and not her carer, cook and general handy person, knowing that she is being taken good care of 24/7.

If you are looking for a care home for your loved one then I would strongly recommend BUPA - Hatfield Peveral Lodge.
My Father had dementia and was a resident for just 3 months (Oct 2025-Jan 2026) and you couldn't have asked for a more caring bunch of people to care for him ( and us) From the cleaning
staff up to the Admin ( Tracey) & Manager (Anish) and every single person in-between. A very special mention to the Nurse Clavel who was a rock throughout. - Thank you everyone, you've all been so kind. You are all ambassadors to your profession.
BUPA you should be very proud of these staff!

Regular visitor, always welcomed at reception and by staff. Management is very responsive to requests and very supportive and caring. Sometimes go over and above.
Well looked after on the occasions I have lunch.
