Cottingley Hall Care Home

Our Mum/Sister went to Cottingley Hall for palliative care in the last few weeks of her life. She came from Nottingham to be near her children.. The Administrative staff were extremely helpful in helping to facilitate this move. Once there, Hazel settled immediately, which was entirely due to the staff.
The were caring, friendly and had a humour that enabled Hazel to feel at home, she was only 70 and had cancer so the whole experience was frightening, but they made her feel so comfortable and at home. She was unable to join in activities or mealtimes but often when we visited, staff were in her room chatting to her. On 2 occasions family stayed overnight and the staff couldnt do enough for us. The care she received was excellent. The environment is lovely and doesn't feel like a care home. As a family, we want to thank you all for the care Hazel, and ourselves, received in those last few weeks. Thank you

When looking for a care home for my elderly mum I visited several care homes and decided on Lindley grange because, although it was further from me than I wanted it to be, there was a strong feeling that it was a welcoming and caring environment which was somewhere i felt mum would be safe, treated
with respect and listened to.
She has been taken for a visit to a garden centre and called in the cafe and enjoyed a drink and a slice of cake.
All the staff say hello when they pass by and she is surrounded in the safe arms of a caring home.
The care manager always finds time for a chat and really understands the needs of residents.
I am so glad I found this wonderful place.

This is a first class care home. Mum has been here for 18 months now and could not be more settled. She is able to choose whether to join in the many varied activities on offer, and often chooses to join in as the activities are both stimulating and appropriate. The attention and care given by every
member of the Lindley Grange team has given us peace of mind that mum is in the correct provision and the staff could not do any more for her.

Since mum became a resident of Lindley Grange I've been extremely impressed with all the care she receives in all respects. To see her getting involved in the singing, dancing, drawing, cooking, and outdoor activities to name just a few, is so heartwarming, as it's just what she used to loved to do.
It's fantastic to see her safe, clean and happy, and joining in with residents and staff alike.

Have visited the family member several times now and have seen an improvement in his manner and recognised us straight away. We had a laugh and he joined in with the conversation when possible.
The staff on duty at the time were pleasant and joined in the conversation as well. The resident seems happy
enough to be in 'The Grange' and takes part in activities on offer.

Mum was in Wykebeck Court Care Home for 18 months before she sadly passed away there very peacefully on 1/8/25. Mum could be challenging at times, but I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They went over and above continuously to help mum feel safe and treated her with absolute dignity and as an
individual. I know she would have enjoyed more outside things, which I note are being held now when possible, but overall, she enjoyed her last year and a half, and we couldn't have asked for better care. I'd particularly like to mention one member of staff who was absolutely outstanding in her care of mum.

My dad came into the care home after a dementia diagnosis- he has declined quite rapidly and so is unable to stay at home. From our first look round the staff were all so welcoming and friendly- and I knew I wanted dad to be somewhere like Crossley House. The staff understand how he can be on different

Since our dad has been a resident here we have been so overwhelmed by the care and love he has received. They have gone above and beyond to make sure dad settled in to his new home. There isn't a day goes by when there is some kind of entertainment or activity available if dad wants to participate.
They have taken dad on many trips and this has enriched his life so much. A special shout out has to go to to a specific member of staff who organises all the activities. The thought that goes into everything from meals to personal care and nursing is outstanding! All the staff are friendly, approachable and will always listen to any concerns we've had. Overall we are so happy that dad has found his forever home.

Mum has been a resident for nearly 8 months now and she's been made to feel part of the Lindley Grange family right from the start. As expected she was feeling overwhelmed and apprehensive with such a big change in lifestyle (as were me & my hubby), but management & staff alike pulled together to reassure
her (& us) that all was going to be fine and she'd soon settle in, which she has. Staff are great with mum, always lots of smiles & kisses for her. Lovely patient nursing staff always on hand to answer any questions. Nice & clean, laundry done daily & hung back in wardrobe, regular baths/hairwash. Lovely home cooked meals n lush desserts.
Mum joins in with a wide variety of fun & interesting daily activities. Singer's, panto, choirs, nursery children, therapy dog, small animals/creature's come in to entertain the residents.
Day trips in the shared minibus (mum's going in it to 'The Deep' next week) all organised by a fantastic activity coordinator/team who I can't praise high enough.
