Wykebeck Court Care Home

I have been made to feel very welcome at Wykebeck Court, the manager and staff are very approachable, friendly and supportive. I get the help I need and am treated with dignity and respect. The rooms and communal areas are kept very clean and comfortable. I feel safe here. I have the freedom to do what I choose each day. My visitors are made welcome. A big thankyou to everyone at Wykebeck Court.

My sister in law Helena is a resident here. My son and myself visited from Ireland end of Mach. Well what an amazing care home. Helena is so happy there.The staff are amazing from Manager Sammy to her assistant, Sammy and all the staff, Liam etc. What an amazing group of people that look after everyone who is a resident there. 100% plus to all. Knowing how Helena is cared for makes a big difference to our family. Thank you all.

Our sister recently had a fortnight's respite care at Wykebeck Care Home, and we were all so grateful for the positive experience! The staff have all been amazing: caring and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Our sister is quite a shy person but was delighted to be invited to become involved in the many activities that take place there, twice each day. The friendliness of the staff and other residents truly made her stay. The home is very warm, clean and well-maintained, with spacious comfortable rooms and delicious home cooked meals. She is certainly looking forward to her next opportunity to go back. Sincere thanks!

My Mum, Jean, was a resident for just over 3 years. She passed away January 22nd and always had great things to say about her "5 star hotel", the staff were always helpful with her and my questions. It was also lovely to see a couple of staff at Mums funeral last week. I'm going to miss you Mum.

All aspects of this home are outstanding. We would Strongly recommend this home to other families. The nursing care is strong and meets personal needs of the resident. The quality of care is of the highest standard.

Mum started at feel unwell on 22nd December 25. The care staff identified this and called 111. The paramedics took mum into hospital with flu. The staff at Wykebeck made sure mum had everything she needed.This was a big help for me. The staff phoned to ask how mum was doing whilst she was in hospital. After a 2 week hospital stay mum was discharged. When the discharge nurse rang Wykebeck she was very impressed that Wykebeck didn't have a cut off time for coming back. The carer in charge said this is Betty's home and she can come home. Amazing

My mother has stayed at Wykebeck Court Care Home many times for respite over the last two years. It's a lovely, friendly, caring place; nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The staff are kind and professional. Mum really enjoyed the food there, it was well-cooked, tasty and offered a variety. There were plenty of activities to keep the residents entertained, singers, pamper sessions, quizzes, bingo etc. Mum always looks forward to her stay there.

Happy and contented mum leads to peace of mind. Thank you.

Extremely pleased with the respite care that dad receives. The staff are friendly and most go above and beyond. The staff are person-centred and have made dad feel extremely welcome. Dad is happy to come in, and we are happy for him to come knowing that he is safe and happy. The building and rooms are clean, and the staff will let you bring things in from home, such as a laundry basket, photos and books.

Mum has settled in well here. She is very social and loves to meet people.The entertainment is brilliant. Staff are friendly and mum is happy.

Mum was in Wykebeck Court Care Home for 18 months before she sadly passed away there very peacefully on 1/8/25. Mum could be challenging at times, but I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They went over and above continuously to help mum feel safe and treated her with absolute dignity and as an individual. I know she would have enjoyed more outside things, which I note are being held now when possible, but overall, she enjoyed her last year and a half, and we couldn't have asked for better care. I'd particularly like to mention one member of staff who was absolutely outstanding in her care of mum.

Viewed Wykebeck for my cousin. A member of staff showed us around and explained the care home perfectly. We saw clients in outdoor spaces enjoying music and the company of other residents.

My father has resided at Wykebeck Court Care Home for the last 15 months. He is now 96 years old and very frail. The level of care by the care staff has been superb, beyond my expectations, kind, compassionate, flexible, thoughtful, and overseen by senior care and nursing staff who provide clear leadership, and are available to listen and respond to suggestions and concerns. We stumbled across Wykebeck when dad was in hospital and needed to move into a care home at short notice. We struck 'Gold'. So grateful to all the staff there.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Sadly, my mum was only there a few months, but the care she received was excellent. They helped her to join in activities, which are varied and great fun. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they also looked after family members who were visiting.

Felt very welcome at first visit. Got lots of help filling in forms. My friend settled much quicker than I feared. All the staff have been kind and reassuring. My friend is eating much better than she was in her own home.

I find the home clean tidy and well-maintained. The staff are EXCELLENT and carry out duties in a very friendly, caring way. The home is a home from home for the residents. My wife is bed bound, but the home has plenty of activities for all residents, music afternoons where a trio visit the rooms and plays music and talks to the residents. The food is varied and presented well. The kitchen staff will provide, within reason, something extra if what's on the menu doesn't suit some residents. All in all, I can not and will not fault "Wyebeck" if it stays like this.

I feel all the staff are very friendly and helpful. I feel the entertainment is good, I always love a good dance and music with my dad and all the other residents. I feel my dad is gently looked after with proper care. Any information or anything concerning my dad, the staff are always letting me or my niece know. My dad is in safe hands. Thank you,
