My father is happy and feels well looked after at Trowbridge Oaks Care Home.
His medical needs are taken care of without worry on our side, the facilities are good and the staff really look after him well.
He's always satisfied with the food and the entertainment, and activities provided by Beth
thoroughly enjoyed.
He describes all the staff as friends - so shout out to Jordan, Beth, Hannah, Ally, Lindsey, Lesley and everyone else who takes care of him so wonderfully.
Whilst his room and bathroom are on the small side for his needs, I have seen larger rooms and bathrooms in the property which gives me confidence that's all can be catered for.
As a family, we know he is in safe hands and well looked after, which is all we could ask for.

The resident's Christmas Party :- everyone seemed to enjoy it the lounge was packed with all residents and family's. A singer sang various sang's a beautiful spread put on by kitchen also the activity table sale held by the activities co-ordinator all goods were made by residents.

Attended a Christmas Fete, all staff were engaging with residents and family, making all feel welcome during the event. Food supplied very good spread. Residents involved with all activities throughout the afternoon, my father a (resident at the care home) is well cared for, all needs met for his care.
Any help required for finance, necessary staff always willing to help, for dads care plan financal requirement.

I find the Trowbridge Oaks a very welcoming care home and all residants are addressed by first name. The food is amazing and all freshley prepared + residants get a choice. Activities is amazing and the staff go above and beyond to pick fun things that help with stimulation + music to take them back
to happy places. I would like mum up earlier as she likes to be out her room.

My initial thoughts of the care home are very good. All staff are very helpful. My dads room is just what he needs. The food is perfect. The things to do help to stimulate Dads mind. Overall very good.

My husband seems to have settled in well and has made friends as much as he is able. Have only joined him for one Sunday lunch so far, which was lovely. As we had carers coming in at home 4 times a day, so, once in the Oaks took him a while to settle. He likes the activities, although he can't always
remember what they are. Personal care is good, know he can be difficult at times. Sometimes his water is too far away from him to reach, his room is small, but OK, especially when most of the time is spent in the main room. We, as a family, are made to feel welcome. Hope this continues. When you ask husband if he is ok and happy, he generally says 'yes'. We do appreciate what the staff do for him, as it is not an easy job.

I and my husband here worked all our lives in the NHS but never thought we'd need it! I visited many care homes and was not impressed. I now realise, twenty-five years later, that things have changed! Initially, I was determined to have my husband home, but came to realise that it would be impossible.
Trowbridge Oaks is the next best thing! All the staff, carers, nursing, kitchen, household and maintenance, and admin all extremely caring and keep me involved and aware of my husband's care. The activities and stimulation are excellent! Thank you.

My Mum has been at Trowbridge Oaks for just over a year now and I am so pleased with the care she has received. It is nice when the staff are happy in their work and have a genuine interest in providing the best care for the residents that they can. This includes all the nurses, care assistants, reception
staff, kitchen staff etc etc.
The atmosphere within the home is brilliant. After visiting my Mum, I can leave her in the capable hands of the staff knowing she will be well looked after and cared for, which is one less worry for me.

My mum wasn't looking forward to going into respite but she said the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, the food was very good, the home was kept very clean and she felt safe. She was also very complimentary about the nursing staff and added that she would be very happy to return next time. I
noticed that the residents seemed to be enjoying the optional activities which were going on when we visited to check out the home, when my mum booked in and when we collected her.
There was a bit of a problem checking her in and trying to arrange payment, due to the staff members that normally dealt with this not being available but that was our only issue.
My mum is still talking positively about the experience several weeks after her return home so it must have been good.

Mum was not with you very long before she passed away but in the 3 weeks she was there she was cared for extremely well and kept very comfortable.
Without exception all the staff were kind and caring often going in to chat with her.
My sister who visited daily to sit with Mum was also made to feel
very welcome.

The staff arranged and hosted a wonderful celebration party for parents' 70th Wedding Anniversary.
They decorated the room, put on a marvellous buffet and beautiful cake. Bought flowers and a lovely card. Also flowers were sent from Bupa.
They came in on their days off to help and join the celebration.
Their
love, care and kindness has no bounds.
The biggest thank you to them all.

My brother has been a resident here for over 13 years and I can honestly say this place is absolutely brilliant. I have never had any issues with the staff or the care my brother receives. If there are any medical issues I am kept fully informed as to the problems and progress. I couldn't wish for a
better home for my brother to be in.

What a lovely afternoon I spent with my former neighbour and friend on the 5th to celebrate him being 100! It has such a welcoming atmosphere. A lady with her dog was entertaining a group of residents when I arrived. This was followed by a game of dominoes with a very professional and efficient member
of staff. A lovely smiling lady passed around tea and birthday cake. It was a joy to see so many carers get up close and personal with my friend, making him smile. Such a wonderful gentleman deserves all the happiness he can get. Thank you.
