Amazing staff working together as a team keeping their residents at the forefront, despite the challenges they experienced during this period. A people centric ethos, respectful, caring and compassionate.

Overall Graham receives a very good level of care, from friendly, caring staff, with whom he has a good rapport. Occasional incidents of skin soreness not picked up by carers. There have been multiple times when his hearing aids have been lost or damaged. Without them he is totally deaf and isolated. So it's important that staff are aware of the need to help him use, and care for them. He mainly enjoys his food but misses strong cheese! He often leaves considerable amounts of his main course, due to a small appetite. The Oaks is kept clean and tidy, with a good level of security.

I visit The Oaks Most Days I always find it to be very welcoming, and clean. Mum is always noticed by all staff and always addressed by her name. We love the activities and crafts. Mum enjoys being involved even tho she has many Health Problems she is always included.

Arrived Tuesday 10th September 2026. Excellent welcome by my Lesley and Amanda. Such helpful carers and nurses throughout. Nurses Mike and Amanda so professional. Many helpful carers e.g. Kay, Debbie, Jamie Lee, Josie, Elizabeth, Fiona, Montia and Hannah, etc. Jordan recpetion so helpful giving me details of post operative hip replacement literature. Such a variety of food but so much and I needed to ask for smaller portions. Excellent hair salon.

All staff excellent, Professional and friendly. Great Atmosphere on entering the building. Beth is the Kindest Person, Very caring but all staff are excellent.

P.s. there was a man with a guitar playing 50s and 60s music.

Shocking care home, residents are left in they own soil, not cared for, care plans not looked at or read when new members join the team. Cover up to protect staff, had no manager or deputy for months.

The Home prides itself on being a family and indeed it is. We have felt very welcome every time we visited and have made many friends amongst the staff and the residents alike. We were kept informed every step of the way with Mum's care. She was always kept clean, comfortable, well nourished (The food is excellent.) and was encouraged without pressure to take part in the many varied activities which include live music, quizzes and group sessions aimed at improving dexterity of mind and body. We do not hesitate to recommend The Trowbridge Oaks to anyone who may need similar care. It is a happy caring place which Mum called home.

We have enjoyed our 2 weeks respite in the care home - the staff are hard working and have been very caring. We shall miss them. I have been in room 36 which had one electric plug and had to bring extension cable for devices. The room has been cleaned once in 2 weeks. The bedside light very dim - difficult to read in bed! On the whole every effort has been made to make our stay very pleasant.

Mums mobility became a problem and so two weeks respite was ideal. All the staff were most helpful and caring, helping um to settle in. She enjoyed time joining in with activities in the lounge and meeting other residents. Everyone was very friendly and our family.

As a family, we know he is in safe hands and well looked after, which is all we could ask for.

The resident's Christmas Party :- everyone seemed to enjoy it the lounge was packed with all residents and family's. A singer sang various sang's a beautiful spread put on by kitchen also the activity table sale held by the activities co-ordinator all goods were made by residents.

Attended a Christmas Fete, all staff were engaging with residents and family, making all feel welcome during the event. Food supplied very good spread. Residents involved with all activities throughout the afternoon, my father a (resident at the care home) is well cared for, all needs met for his care. Any help required for finance, necessary staff always willing to help, for dads care plan financal requirement.

My initial thoughts of the care home are very good. All staff are very helpful. My dads room is just what he needs. The food is perfect. The things to do help to stimulate Dads mind. Overall very good.

My husband seems to have settled in well and has made friends as much as he is able. Have only joined him for one Sunday lunch so far, which was lovely. As we had carers coming in at home 4 times a day, so, once in the Oaks took him a while to settle. He likes the activities, although he can't always remember what they are. Personal care is good, know he can be difficult at times. Sometimes his water is too far away from him to reach, his room is small, but OK, especially when most of the time is spent in the main room. We, as a family, are made to feel welcome. Hope this continues. When you ask husband if he is ok and happy, he generally says 'yes'. We do appreciate what the staff do for him, as it is not an easy job.

Wonderful home with caring staff. Activities are excellent and highly tailored to the needs and interests of residents. The atmosphere is bright and friendly with lots of love and laughter. I would highly recommend it.

I and my husband here worked all our lives in the NHS but never thought we'd need it! I visited many care homes and was not impressed. I now realise, twenty-five years later, that things have changed! Initially, I was determined to have my husband home, but came to realise that it would be impossible. Trowbridge Oaks is the next best thing! All the staff, carers, nursing, kitchen, household and maintenance, and admin all extremely caring and keep me involved and aware of my husband's care. The activities and stimulation are excellent! Thank you.
